Adults going to MNSSHP; Are you going in costume? Share your pics here

Love all the costumes and ideas, and oh my gosh, magic bands and mickey reader are brilliant!! Wish I could see them in person!

were you by any chance the family that went as monorails a few years back, lol?

Thanks for the compliment.

This is our first MNSSHP, so that was not us as monorails.

I'm SO excited that I'm going on Friday!!! If I see you just know that I'll be stopping for a picture!! That is SO cute and SO creative!!! I'm in awe right now!!

Thanks! Keep an eye out for the big grey band (me).

My only concern is the forecast at this point. The tapstyle is not weatherproof ... a shower or even a light rain should be OK. A deluge might knock it out of commission. We do have clear ponchos so if the skies open up I should be able to keep the lights on, though.

Where did you get this? I'm also going as Anna, but haven't started my costume hunt yet.

I made it. I also made the purple cloak, here. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, though there's a few things I wish turned out better!

Even the year!!! Totally cool. We went Sunday. I didn't see any wow costumes that I can remember like I did last year. You may be the most talked about. You should Suprise the park greeter cm when you go to get in

I love "thinking like an Imangineer" when doing projects like this.

When we finally settled on the scheme for names (Disney Characters), the year of introduction seemed like a good fit (especially for me ... Kevin Flynn (TRON, 1982), not Flynn Rider (Tangled, 2010)).

The rest of the ID is either Walt Disney's Birthday (12/05/1901) or the day Magic Kingdom opened (10/01/1971)

If there was a contest for the most creative costume you would win hands down!
I wish you were going Oct.9th instead. I would have loved to see that in person.

I bet it will get a lot of attention from the CM's

You are too kind.

We are really curious about reactions (if any) from other guests and/or CMs. This is sort of a trial run for us. We are without kids for this trip (F&W with some friends). However we are headed back (with kids) for Halloween.

How it goes Friday will determine if the bands/Mickey head make another appearance on Halloween Night.

We will be attending the October 21st MNSSHP. I'll be Anna and my DFi will be Olaf!

~October 18-26, 2014~

Took long enough but i finally got a pic uploaded of my costume last year.

I don't have a pic yet of my costume for this year because its patiently waiting at the seamstress who made my Rogue cloak last year, but its based off this:

Won't be as cool cause that would cost more then I'll ever have, but still should look awesome when its done! Hardest thing now is figuring out how to get the broom to Disney!

I just ordered all the pieces to my costume off etsy today! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Ride it??? ;). I'll try to post DD's Mystique costume this weekend and maybe a trial run of Gamora makeup. Exact same shade as Elphaba, I think!

Wonder if i have to put flight plans in if i do! It's amazing how many shades they had I walked in just went "i want green" they pulled out about 30 greens and said "Okay what shade?"

I'm doing it cold at the party, I trialed the makeup only to see if i was allergic to it.

We were there on Tuesday night as Elsa and Anna, it was so much fun!

You ladies look incredible! :thumbsup2

How much attention did you draw, especially from little girls? I've wondered if an authentic looking Elsa & Anna would be mobbed at MNSSHP as difficult as Disney has made them to see.

Thanks!

We gathered a fair amount of attention from the younger attendees, on average we heard the character names being called out a few times a minute when we where walking around. We chatted to a few cast members who cleared us to take photos with guests but not to sign autographs. We had quite a lot of photos with guests most where with kids but made it very clear to the parents we weren't official, thankfully only had one autograph turn down incident. We did however have a funny incident where we stopped to check the map for the next candy trail and a mini queue formed...at that point we though we were in trouble :lmao:
