Is it possible to get an Adult Beverage to-go from restaurants/bars in the theme parks? I'd like to enjoy watching without having to stay inside an establishment (also, I'd be freeing up a table).

The only place we have ever done it is Coral Reef, never asked anywhere else. We wanted a second glass of wine but were actually finished with dinner. The waiter suggested that we order and take with us. We had TIW card so it made sense to get it there and get 20% off versus leaving and getting something elsewhere.

I know that every restaurant in Epcot will pour you drink in a "to-go-cup" and let you take it with you. I haven't tried it in the other parks.

Oh! This is great! Learn something new everyday!

Do you think this is the same at the resorts? Like if we order a bottle of wine and don't finish can we take it back to our room?

I've seen to-go cups at Biergarten, some of those beers are huge!
yup I ordered the liter of grapefruit beer because it seemed like a good idea at the time and then it turned out to not be one of my smartest moves and they gave me a to-go cup with it.

I was still too full to really finish it and ended up pitching it when i got tired of carrying it but they didn't bat an eye.

I’ve gotten to go drinks at the bar at 50’s prime time. They have a better selection than the stands.

The bar at Prime Time (the Tune-In Lounge) and the Rose and Crown pub probably do more carry-out business than stay-in-and-drink business, based on my (extensive) observations while sitting at the bar in Tune-In or at one of the tables at R&C. At R&C, the bartenders will ask if you are drinking in or going outside, choosing glassware or a plastic glass as appropriate. Since there is little seating in T-I, patrons queue up at an open section in the center of the bar to order drinks to carry-out, so it’s plastic glasses all the way.

You can take a to-go cup (plastic) everywhere but Magic Kingdom. Alcohol has to stay inside the MK restaurants.

You can't leave the park with it though.

Yes at resorts. Open alcohol can't be taken out of the parks.

As an FYI. I put myself through college working in restaurants in Gainesville, FL (University of Florida) Back then you can take an unfinished open bottle of wine out of restaurant under certain conditions. A couple of years ago I was in St Pete for an Indycar race. The restaurant had an amazing "happy hour" deal on bottles of wine. The server suggested I order the bottle have a couple glasses and then take the bottle back to my hotel room. I did this. I just checked and the regulations have remained the same. While not applicable to open cups of alchol might be something to keep in mind...

FLORIDA – A WINEDOGGYBAG STATE – Endorsed by Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association
Section 564.09 of the Florida statutes provides that a restaurant licensed to sell wine may permit a patron to remove one unsealed bottle of wine if (i) the patron consumed a portion of the wine with the purchase of a full meal, (ii) the restaurant securely reseals the bottle, (iii) the bottle is placed in a bag that is secured in a manner that is visibly apparent if the bag has been opened and (iv) a dated receipt for the wine and meal is available.

They will take your unfinished bottle of wine to the park exit where you can pick it up to take back to the hotel.
