Wondering if anyone knows if they have put the new reservation system on the back burner? When I originally called for my ADRs that were after May 26, they had to transfer me to someone on the new system, and they took my reservation number and I got a longer confirmation number. The last few days when I have called in for ressies past May 26, they have just used my phone number and given me a regular confirmation number. :confused3
Anyone know why?

Because you're within your 90 days would be my guess. Reservation numbers are only crucial when you're using your +10 as that proves that you're staying onsite. Once we're 90 days away from the dining date anyone can call and make a reservation.

Okay, so maybe I am a little slow on the uptake:lmao: Go ahead and say it 'cause I've been told this before.;) But here's my question:

With the new online dining system, I will be able to log on and book my own dining reservations? Do you think they will limit the number of reservations a guest can make? I guess what I am saying is.....I've seen people post that they make a reservation at XYZ restaurant for 7:00 p.m. on 3/12/09 but then they turn around and "double book" ZYX reservation for 7:00 p.m. on 3/12/09 until they decide which restaurant they really want to dine in.

I'm thinking people would be more apt to double book (my words because I can't think of a better one) if they are doing it online than when they are talking to an actual castmember. If they are allowed to do that, wouldn't all the ADRs be taken up really quickly?

Gosh I hope I worded that right!

Help!! I'm confused and my eyes are blurry from trying to read through the pages and pages and pages of posts.:confused3 . So if I'm asking a totally dumb question that everyone but me knows the answer to - thanks for your help for a newbie to the new ADR system...
What is the +10?? I thought that we had to wait til 90 days out to make our ADRs. Does that mean that now we can call 100 days out? (We're staying at the POP).
Thanks to anyone who can clarify this for us...:worship:

+10 means that guests staying at a Disney Resort can call 90 days from their check in date, and book up to 10 days of ADRs in that one call. They do not need to wait 90 days from each individual date they want an ADR.

They MIGHT still need to call 90 days out from a specific date for some of the harder to get items, like CRT and V&A Chefs Table (I don't think the latter is available at all before 90 days, regardless of where you stay).

Recently it seems that "Disney Resort" only includes those owned and operated by Disney - Swan and Dolphin are no longer included, and I assume the same for Shades of Green.

It means that you call 90 days before you check into your resort. On that day you can make 10 days worth of ADR's.

+10 is not new. It is a perk for onsite guests, allowing them to make their ADR's at the 90 day mark + the next 10 days. This way you can make ADR's for your whole trip in one phone call.

Yes, but when I made ressies before on the new system (for dates after the 26th), they put them in a cart and then gave me all my confirmation numbers at the end and they were longer numbers. They also said all my ressies on the new system would be tied to my room ressie. Now when I call in, they give me the confirmation number as soon as I make it (no cart), and the number is shorter again like the old numbers. They also are tying them to my phone number like they did for my ressies before the 26th. Has anyone else had any experience with this???

When I called for my one ressie for June on Sunday, even though I selected the menu option for May 26th and later, the procedure seemed to be the same as usual, with the usual 12 digit number. Although she did ask for my resort reservation number.

I can't imagine them making the numbers LONGER...

The new numbers are 12 digits, but the old numbers for before May 26th are only 8 digits (and begin with the #5, I think). Now the numbers I am getting for dates after the 26th are 8 digits again. I wonder if it is because I check on ressies for May 24th first (since that is when we are checking in) and then when I ask for ressies after the 26th, instead of transferring me to someone on the new system, they just give an 8 digit ressie tied to my phone number. Very confusing......

Ah...you are correct. I was thinking they were the old numbers because they are the same as the resort reservation numbers. In fact, they appear to be the SAME - as in the same pool of numbers. Both my POP ressie and the ADR start with 390, but are separated by almost 500 million. :) I don't think they do fully sequential numbering though.

I checked the ADRs DW made for our April trip, and they are 8 digits starting with 5.

Hello-

I'm helping a friend plan a trip for July 2009. I was under the assumption that all dining ADRs had moved to 90 days EXCEPT for Chef Mickey, CRT, V&A which are still 180 days.

I've called twice for my friend and both times was told "NO" it's 90 days for everything by two different CM's.

Are the CM's mistake or am I mistaken???? HELP!!!!

Thanks in advance!

i was able to schedule my CRT adr 180 days off for my May trip, However my sister in law just tryed for her Summer trip and was also told that everthing in now 90 days

I am a little confused. If I call on March 23 for Chef Mickeys for my trip starting June 23 can I make CRT for the 24th of June on March 23rd since we are staying at the cont? :surfweb:

Both of these restaurants can still be made 180 days out. I would call NOW to get in!!! Good Luck.

No they cannot. They are available through June 19. Once we're 90 days from June 19 they will be 90 days like everything else.

To answer the OP, the +10 still applies for those staying onsite. :goodvibes

so it doesn't matter what restaurant I make adrs for as long as it's in my 90+10 window I can make them for any restaurant? Sorry a little slow here.

Yes, 90 days from the day you check in you call Disney to make your reservations for your trip. If your trip is 10 days long, you'd be able to make reservations (at any restaurant) for your trip.

Thank You very much, I have a little over a week to get the adrs figured out. We are doing the dinning plan for the first time so it is more overwhelming than usual. :cloud9:

Another crazy question:scared: , since CRT is so hard to get when I call next monday for adrs in my 90+10 window can I go straight to trying for CRT which is in the window or do I have to start with the adr of the day checking in? Thanks again and I promise last question.
