I'm a Disney day tripper and have never stayed over night using the dining plan. My fiance and i are close to our honeymoon ADR date and have several questions as to how it works, please see below:

1. What time does the ADR site refresh (ie: what time do i need to log in to make the reservations)?
2. Do the reservations ask if we're on the dining plan?
3. A CM told me that when booking dinner shows we use a credit card to hold the space but nothing is charged. When booking these types of restaurants do i need to enter any other information?
4. I've been trying to book 'Ohana for my bday for years, is it impossible to get?
5. We're doing a split stay; can i make all reservations at once?
6. Should we note on the reservations that this is for our honeymoon?

Thank you for the help!! :worship:

1. What time does the ADR site refresh (ie: what time do i need to log in to make the reservations)?
I think the site refreshes throughout the day because things open up during the day. If you're asking about when you can starting making your ADRs 180-days in advance, then the system "opens" at 6 am ET when using the online system.

2. Do the reservations ask if we're on the dining plan?
No.

3. A CM told me that when booking dinner shows we use a credit card to hold the space but nothing is charged. When booking these types of restaurants do i need to enter any other information?
Only a handful of ADRs require a cc guarantee. These will usually ask you for your credit card number, billing address, and name. All the normal information you need to provide when making a credit card purchase. It the place/show requires immediate payment, it will say so. (For example, California Grill requires a cc hold, but CRT requires immediate payment.)

4. I've been trying to book 'Ohana for my bday for years, is it impossible to get?,
'Ohana is one of the most popular places in WDW at this point. It seems like the ADRs for this are harder than even CRT. Keep trying...things often open up.

6. Should we note on the reservations that this is for our honeymoon?
It's up to you. You can and the restaurant might do something, but they might not. I would not expect anything special, so that way if something does happen, you can be pleasantly surprised!

Just to clear something up... though the reservations don't ask if you are on the dining plan, you DO want to be sure you are logged in with your package reservation number if you have the DDP. This is so the system recognizes that you have the dining plan as there are a handful of places that require prepayment. If you are on the dining plan, you only have to give a CC to hold it. If you are not on the dining plan, you pay in full at the time of the reservation.

So, if you do not have your reservation information loaded when you do your reservations, the system will not see the dining plan and will charge for those places instead of a hold.

Also, for anything that requires a credit card, be sure to double check that it does not charge. If you are on the dining plan and it still wants to charge, you may have to call for that reservation. Sometimes the system messes it up.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll be sure to log onto disney's site for our reservation page and then go from there to the dining reservation site :) Hopefully the site won't have any hiccups on restaurants requiring a cc.

When you go to the dining reservations page, at the bottom of search criteria box is a link that says "I want to use my dining plan to book reservations". It's right under the spot to enter a restaurants name. Click this and it will have you log in and give your hotel reservation code.

Sometimes the system will act up here too. If it does, try another browser.

Awesome! Thanks for all your help. I'm going to put this information in my dining document so I don't forget :D
