The date to start booking my reservations is FINALLY almost here. I have all my restaurants picked. I know I can go online at 6am & call in at 7am (right?). I was thinking if going online 1st & seeing what I could book & then calling in at 7. I have already added my credit card to my profile on My Disney Experience to expedite the process (as I read in another thread).

Now, my question is can I make reservations for my quick service restaurants too?

And if I don't make all our QS will I regret it later? I was thinking of only booking the extremely popular places & leaving a few days open (2-3) so that the kids can pick or so we can take our time that day.

I'm a 1st timer so any other tips or tricks you can share I greatly appreciate it. Thank you!!!

Rank your restaurants by popularity/hard to get & do those first. Like if you want Be Our Guest dinner I would do that first, followed by Cinderella's Royal table. Or if you want California Grill during fireworks, that is very popular as well.

No ADR's for QS. You can do a FP+ for BOG lunch, I don't have experience with it (we just waited in line & it was awesome) but there are threads about it.

good luck!

You should be able to get all TS meals online, but have the phone number handy in case the system is not working, sometimes it is glitchy. Also, it wouldn't hurt to do a "test run" of the phone system a day or two before so you can navigate the menus and get to a real live person sooner, in case you end up needing to.

Back before online ADRs, I would practice timing myself, and syncing my clock, so that I could dial in down to the second right when they opened, worked every time :cool1:

Also, don't go in chronological order, start with your hardest to get, and work down from there. Keep in mind that you will have to call for special things like firework cruises, BBB, etc.

Also just keep this mind, for example, if you want Be Your Guest for the day you planned to be in MK but can't get it, but can get BYG for another day, then change your MK day.

In other words, if you have to, plan your park days around your ADR's.

I do to think any of my reservations should be too hard. Maybe 50's Prime Time in Thanksgiving. I'm not doing BOG for dinner or Cinderellas table etc.

I'm thinking of starting 50's Prime Time, then Hoop Dee Doo, Akershus, Garden Grill, crystal palace, ohana & the plaza.

Sound about the right order? And I'm deff going to try calling in ahead of time for practice. Never thought to do that. Thank you!!!

Just make sure that if you are eating out of the parks and at a resort (or park hopping to eat) that you give yourself plenty of time to get where you need to get to on time.

I'm not park hopping. And I'm planning my day at the park so hopefully we'll be close to where we're eating around the time of our reservation.

O'hana is one of the more difficult ones to get. Also, if you are planning CP before park open that would be another desired reservation.

Ohana should be first. If you want pre park opening Akershus or Crystal Palace, they should be next.

I just made my ADRs on Monday and the online system did not work for me at all. I had to call at 7 and then was on hold for 40 minutes, so I would be prepared to call at 7 just in case.

I would go in this order
Ohana goes quick so do it first, Akershus next, Garden Grill, Crystal Palace, 50's Prime Time, then the Plaza. I'm not sure about Hoop Dee Doo because we have never done it maybe someone else would know ?

We are going the last week in May and there are still 50's Prime Time and The Plaza reservations open with a couple of Crystal Palace times still available for after lunch everything else is gone. I tried to get Ohana our last trip and it was really hard to get, I searched everyday for a cancellation and finally got one for 8:00 pm.
When you search online for your time click breakfast, lunch or dinner or which ever meal you want instead of searching for a certain time. You get more results when you click breakfast, lunch , or dinner.

Yes, I want to do CP before the park opens. So maybe I'll try that one 1st. The day we are going to O'hana I can be more flexible with our time so I'll do that next. Thank you all for the tips. I guess practice is the key.

Here is a possible tip- if you can get two tables for the same exact time slot- they can merge the ADRs. So if you can't find a table for 4, but can book 2 tables for two, then call and they can merge. But it has to be the same exact time. And different guest names. But the same card can reserve them both. When I did my ADR- I had my tablet and phone apps up and ready, when it hit 6 am, I then hit search on both. It's the only way I could get all 5 of us into BOG!
