ADR Cancellation

Is it just me or have ADRs become harder to modify/cancel. On the My Disney app, used to be able to do so in app but now I get a prompt immediately upon making the ADR that I need to call Disney to do so. These are for first time reso’s in March. These are all character meals so maybe they’ve changed policy for those?

Yeah, that's odd. So far out with just a regular ADR shouldn't require a call. Did you try one more time online? I'd refresh my account by closing/re-opening and try again before calling. Or you can do that while calling and see which has faster result, lol.

Try using MDE through a browser instead. Sometimes it works better that way than the app.

The app is definitely glitchy. The message to call Disney to modify is usually what you get when you try to cancel within 24 hours. This far out you shouldn't have an issue modifying ADRs.

I prefer making/changing ADRs on a computer so I would try that instead.

Is it 24 hours in advance for all restaurants or does it need to be earlier for some? I try to check in my reservation details but it just tells me to "cancel within this dining location's allotted cancellation period" which is confusing since I didn't keep track if it was different for each restaurant or not. I thought I could just go back and check the reservation, but then it doesn't tell me.

Edit: NM! I finally found it in the email confirmation but not on the website or app. Now I know. Thanks!
