Ok I thought I was all set for the hotel for our Feb visit. Then today my mom blindsided me with the "I thought we were all staying together!?" It's my mom, DH, me and 2 kids. Then two of our friends are joining us. Mom may bring her DBF but who knows. We have reserved the kids suite at HOJO along with 2 other rooms for friends and mom. So my question is now...are there ANY hotels that offer adjoining rooms or suites for 6+?

Yep! Desert Inn and Suites can accommodate that many. The rooms can be private, as the door can shut.

The room we stayed in had 4 queens (one on each side) and one full bath and one half bath (one on each side). You can also get a room like that with a hideabed :)

I know there are other suites around but DI&S is the only one I've stayed in

The Hyatt OC has two bedroom suites (queen or king) that include two regular rooms separated by a parlor/living room - and just one entrance. So you could have six people - two in the King Room, two in the 2 Queen/other King Room, and two on the pull out sofa in the living room. We have stayed in that suite with me, DH, two kids and my Mom or sister in law and it worked out great. Might be a little tighter if your Mom brings the DBF, but if your kids can sleep on the pull out sofa it would be perfectly comfortable for the rest. The Hyatt OC is a great hotel - nicer than any of the Disney hotels, IMO. Great service, super clean, full service Starbucks in the lobby, etc. But - you're not going to want to walk to the parks from there. You either need to drive or take the shuttle. The shuttle is great, runs reliably every 30 minutes, and takes only 5-10 minutes to get to/from the parks - but still not as easy as just walking over of course.

Park Vue Inn has rooms that sleep up to 6. We have stayed there when it's just me and my girls.

We stay at Desert Inn when it's the whole family. We get the C2 suite. It's there largest and sleeps up to 10. There are two rooms with two queens each, plus a lounge/living room section with sofa bed. One of bedrooms is large with a table and chair area. There are two full bathrooms and a full size frig with micro.

We usually go in the off season and the rate is around $120 a night. We are going next week and I was able to get it for $219. Still a value, imho.

Other options are Residence Inn Maingate (I love their penthouse suite), and Best Western Raffles.

The nice thing about having suites is that there is a common room where family can relax a bit together. Even when you are running around, if you are going to spend any time at the hotel it's nice. Now, if you are going to only be returning to the hotel to sleep (morning to night at the parks), then I would recommend getting adjoining rooms because it is usually less $.

We have stayed at the Desert Inn & Suites and love the location and the different room options. Just a word of caution though you can only have one car per room so if you get the big C2 room you can sleep I think 10 but you can only park one car at night. It worked for us because we flew and took a shuttle but it's something to consider.

Thanks for all the info!! I think I'll call HOJOs first and see what they have! I will then look into the other places you mentioned. One of the must-haves for us is walking distance as we have 2 small napping children still.

Carousel has the Resort Suites that would sleep 6, and get an adjoining room for the other 2.

Fairfield has King with a sofa bed with a 2 queen adjoining room. The 2 queen room also has a twin sleeper chair.

With a group like that, I think I'd try to rent a stay at the nearby Worldmark Anaheim. Really nice looking units, full kitchen and living room.

REALLY? The C2 has a full size fridge? We will be staying there in March, and that would be great to have a full size fridge!

I would go with the adjoining rooms...I need my space. If together I love Penthouse suite at RI maingate, many amenities for a group that size.

Park Vue and Desert Inn are right across the street from the maingate. Much closer than the Hojo or most onsite hotels.

They weren't full size the last time we stayed there, but there are 2 of them.
