I was just wondering how to adhere vellum to your paper. Since it is see through I wasn't sure if tape would work or not. Thanks for any advice.

I keep wondering the same thing. I usually "hide" the adhesive under other embellishments. I've heard that glue sticks are good. There are clear adhesive tabs, but I've never tried them, and I'm not sure who makes them.

If anyone knows, please tell us. I know that Hermofix shows, because I took a class on velum and that is what they had us use. I didn't like the results.

I use photo tape, but it's not totally perfect. The best I've used is attaching it with eyelets. Hope this helps.

I just used my sticker machine for this and it seemed to be fine. Granted it was just a small piece but I think it would work with the bigger pieces

I started using the clear tape tabs from Fiskars and they work great!

Where can you get them? Do they have them at Michaels? And you can't see them at all when you stick it down?

If they work, I need to get some. I have a couple of pages that would be much easier if I had them.

Hi guys,
I read this board often (thanks, everyone, for all your tips and help!) but don't post much. But, I just wanted to jump in here. I just tried something new called Scotch Vellum Tape made by 3M. I found it in a local store. I really like to work with vellum and it always bugged me trying to find ways to hide the adhesive. This stuff works pretty well.
:D

Now I'm going to be looking for a Michael's coupon. Sounds like several of these might be good. I need to see what Michael's has available for 40% off. :D

I've never found an adhesive that doesn't marr the vellum. I usually use other means of adhering, unless I can hide my adhestive behind an embellishment. By "other means" I mean eyelets, stitching (a simple stitch at each corner looks very nice, and it's easy to boot) or something similar.

I bought the Fiskars clear tabs at Wal-Mart - and they work great. The only page they've ever shown up on was a vellum paper of snowflakes but every other page they have been invisible!

I have used the Xyron for larger pieces of vellum. It is ok but found that the background paper may show thru more than you intended due to the entire surface being covered with glue. This shows up most on dark backgrounds.
