Additives to scrambled eggs

🤮 I'm ruined.

Alright. Now I'm going to have to ask someone I know that's an IHOP employee for the last 20 years or so....

It's very true. I'm keto and I have to order fresh cracked eggs at IHOP. :(

To the OP's question, I am not personally aware of any places in Disney that do this. Actually, IHOP is the only place I know of who does the pancake batter thing. Places may add milk or something.

I haven’t heard of them doing this. If it’s an allergen you can mention and ask about the eggs they’re pretty good with handling that and if they put something in the eggs you couldn’t have they’d let you know

I'm also keto and my intestines know within 30 minutes if I've eaten something that I shouldn't. Not really thinking only pancake batter but other stuff to stretch it along. I typically don't eat breakfast but we're going to do a brunch one day at Cape May

Thanks!

If you're familiar with IHOP and how they add pancake batter to their scrambled eggs...does Disney do the same thing to the ones on the buffets?
Strange. had heard of adding water or milk, but never pancake batter. Is it for texture, fluffy, or taste?

If I had to guess its two things:
  • Reduce waste (they likely make big batches of batter and have to use it or it goes bad)
  • Add "volume" to the eggs to make it seem like you are getting a bunch when in reality its all cheap flour and water
Same reason why Wendy's has chilli. They use the "never frozen" beef to reduce waste while being able to keep their burgers "never frozen".

My hubby used to manage an IHOP, they added pancake batter to the omelets to make them fluffier and less runny since they cooked them on a flat grill, not in a pan, but not to the individual scrambled eggs.
