Hello! I have another question about adding points into an existing contract. How easy is it? I am trying to decide how many points we need to buy? If I decide later to add on points how do I proceed? Do I have to pay a down payment on the new points... or do they just add it on to the existing account/points. Will I be making one payment still to Disney? Thanks for your help... :wave2:

It's easy -- maybe too easy. I called our DVC guide on Thursday and added 30 points on to the 150 point contract we purchased a year ago. He offered to take a downpayment, but I figured paying the whole shot was just as painless. The credit card number was given and the pleasantries were done. The package arrived in the FedEx today. We have signed the documents and they'll go back later this week.

Same membership number. Same contract number -- but with a .001 suffix. So nice to be signing my name beside the palm trees :sunny: when it's -14C outside here in southern Ontario. :cold:

You will have 2 payments, one on each contract. They can deduct those on the same day as your existing payment or on the other day (1st or 15th). We had to re-send our deposit slip for our second contract, but it was stll very easy. I know SSR has all use years available for add-on, so you can get the same year as you have if you are looking to buy there. We did $10 MB and put 10% down.
