That's funny. I've reloaded my card many times. Every time I get an Amazon gift card, I add it online to my account. Maybe certain people are targeted even if they don't meet the above criteria. As ibob52's link shows, it is just for Prime members. It also said on my page that it is only for first-time reload using a credit or debit card. If you have reloaded your account this way before, I guess it wouldn't apply to you.
From the site - In order to qualify, you must (1) be an Amazon Prime member; (2) this must be the first time reloading your Amazon com Gift Card Balance and the reload amount must be at least $100; and (3) you must use the Amazon Prime account to which you are currently logged in.
Amazon runs these promotions fairly frequently, $10 for $100 is better than the $5 for $100 that they've run in the past. They are targeted promotions with not much rhyme nor reason easily apparent, and even if you've done them before months later you may find yourself able to do another despite the fine print. Imho the qualifications tend to be "more like guidelines anyway". Click the link, if you're targeted sweet if not Amazon will tell you. That's funny. I've reloaded my card many times. Does it say you aren't eligible when you click on the link? Just wondering a mine doesn't say that, but I don't want to try it if I am not.I'm Prime but I'm not eligible when clicking on above link. I don't recall reloading a gift card using credit card. I have bought gift card before, and have redeemed SB gift card. Oh well.
