Katie, the dress looks gorgeous on you! I'm so glad you really liked the seamstress and it sounds like she'll do a great job. It will look absolutely amazing when it's all done. I really love the bustle. I'm a big fan of french bustles and the more points the better, lol. That stinks that the veil didn't match. I would have thought with white you'd be fine, but glad it's an easy fix. I've been looking at veils lately but can't decide at all what I want.

Thank you! I did really like her and the funny thing was that she asked me the date of the wedding and when i told her 10/2 she said that was her daughters date too! Coincidence?? I think not!!

I was bummed about the veil because i LOVE my veil, so when she said she would just dye it for me i was so happy! and shes only charging me 10$ to dye it!

I agree with the bustle... the more points the better! Lord help my bridesmaids though!!!

Honestly Katie, I think the dress looks lovely on you. I love the detailing. It makes the dress very unique and the rhinestones definitely accentuates your rear, haha. It's very flattering. And hooray for a $10 dye job (that veil is blech!)

yey for the dress fitting! i think it looks fantastic and when its all completed i think the finish product will be awesome....9 point bustle...ahahaha id go insane! i wouldnt have the patience to stand and have my bm's do that...it would take them days! but i will say it looks phenominal! im glad the day went so well for you

i hear you about the veil....im actually going to buy a veil made by my dress maker bc my dress is "natural" (not even white, diamond white or ivory ugh) so i dont even want to chance the veil not matching..but how awesome is the cost for her to dye it- i didnt know that was even possible, thats so great!

Anyway i have some AMAZING news!!! Those of you who are facebook friends already know but i got DF's wedding present. Alittle back story on why i got this gift for him because to some people it might seem like i'm going overboard...

DF is an amazing person in my life. I've had some issues from my past that i've had to work through and he has been there for four years with me. I am still tested everyday by things in my past that still hurt me to this day but i know that he is always there and cares for me more than anyone else has. I've never trusted someone so completely and i honestly believe it was no accident that we met or are together now. So i knew i wanted to do something extra special for him.

He also spent a good amount of money on my ring and his wedding band is only going to cost me 155$. He kind of got the short end of the stick

One more reason before i tell you what it is..... We talked about how after we're married we want to enjoy married life just us and travel. One of the things he said he wanted to do first was go somewhere that you can swim in the ocean and not go numb from the cold water. (being from new england the ocean water at the beachs is never over 53 degrees!)

So what did i get Df as a wedding gift???



A disney cruise!!!!!!!!!!!

I called this morning and spoke to a cast member and we are now booked for 10.2.2011 on the disney dream (thats right the new ship) for a four night bahamian cruise!!!!

I dont know how i'm going to keep this a secret from him but i am just so excited i cant even tell you. Neither one of us have done a cruise before, never mind a disney one!!! I decided that i'm going to give him three cards once we get to disney for the wedding... we will be there thursday and friday before the wedding on saturday. What i want to do is put a little clue in each card until the night of the wedding where i'll tell him at the DP.

Ok well i'm off to go do some research on the DCL boards!!

I was looking at the european cruises disney does and i almost booked one of those but where we never cruised before i figured this would be a good way to check it out, see if we like it, and do something fun. If we end up liking cruises maybe i can do a european cruise or maybe the panama canal cruise, oh or maybe an alaskan cruise!!!!

We did our first cruise in 2004...Any questions PM me! We have since done a 3 day with my parents and are honeymooning on DCL Alaskan Itinerary!!! LOVE THEM!
(Actually 2 weeks before our first trip DF said he didn't know how we were going to have any fun b/c I had spent so much time planning already...I almost cancelled the trip...We were there for an HOUR and he called him mom telling her how much he loved it and how amazing it was!!! He was in love with Disney ever since!!!)

I am like waaay behind, but all caught up now! I am so sorry about the family drama - it sound just like my family. I can't tell you how much we have had to change things around for my mom too. It's really difficult to accommodate negative people. Several of my family members have said, "A vow renewal? Why the hell would you want to do that?" Uggghhh! They just don't get it.

I'm glad you got good friends to support you! Your dress looks fabulous by the way!! I love the french bustle! Stunning. You look so slim and pretty. Can't wait to see it when it's all done.

A Disney cruise is an awesome present!! I'm going on my 1st one in a week. I'll let you know how it is. I have to say, watch your mail though if you're trying to keep it a secret, b/c they send stuff all the time.
