Action Figures for a 4 year old? (Angel Tree)

They do still sell Rescue Heroes http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_s...=rescue hero,aps,293&rh=i:aps,k:rescue heroes and I have seen them at Target (but not a large selection). My 4 year old really has fun with them, but I don't know if that is what this child had in mind. I would buy at least one Super hero action figures to be safe.

Anyone from the Avendures or Super hero Squad. Spider-Man, batman, captain America or hulk. I work wih 3 &4 year olds and they say hulk smash all the time. They have mentioned power rangers some but not Star Wars. Hth

I would go with Avengers, personally. Lots of stuff from the new movie.

My 4 year old LOVES his Imaginext and rescue heroes stuff but I think if the kid is saying "action figures" he means super heroes (at least that's what it means around my sons group, lol).

Definitely super heros! Spiderman, Batman, Captain America.

Yes! My DS is 5 and he is all about these characters! Also, he is big into Ningago (LEGO) characters.

For that age, I would probably go with Imaginext super heroes or Playskool super heroess of Star Wars figures. Both the Imaginext and the Playskool figures are action figures, but made specifically for that younger age.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest! Those are the toys that are played with the most at my house!

Also got a Batman Imaginext set from Target and a couple of other non-Imaginext (but cool-looking) sets from Tuesday Morning. Got 2 pairs of pants, 2 sweaters, 2 long sleeve T-shirts and a button down, along with a hat and mittens. Only went a little over my budget--got it all for about $125! Can't wait to deliver it Friday.
