ABCs of Trip Reporting, Pt. 2-Life Can Be Crappy and Then You Move On (3/7)

Caught back up again, and read the chatter too. I need a nap......

So happy to hear the results were good on the resquish..

Saying a prayer for the hubby....

I really thought about all the things i would bring home with me from WDW to 'have', and honestly, i want it all to remain there. But: i want the feeling, you know the feeling you have when you are there, the "happy".

i want that, at home.

Loving it, as usual, its great, keep it churning.

KIM

Hey there, Kim!! I totally understand "bringing the feeling home". I get it!! Something about that place that makes us just never want it to end. When I think about it, it's more than the rides, the stuff, the food- it's the people you're with, the happy sounds, the carefree attitude with time, all that.

Well put.

1. Thank heaven your mammogram came back clear.

I am very relieved, and now don't have to worry for another year.

2. Definitely sending some :goodvibes your way on your husband's job... I am such an anxious person...can't stand waiting for answers like that. Its so tough.

THANKS!! we'll know hopefully any time this week! It IS so hard, but God is good and sustains us everyday.

3. Despite being a serious lover of WS, I've never walked that far back into Morocco. Between the shots on your TR and Glenn's I

Obviously, I got overzealous with the copy and paste function and chopped off half of your repsonse there, but I think the gyst of it was that you want to see more of Morocco- right? YES, there is a TON to see back there, and is well worth the time; I always spend the most time in there as everything is so exotic and fun. Lot of rich textures and colors to see!

4. YES! Why is the store in the US pavillion so LAME??? I toss a ball around my classroom sometime to up class participation and energy and really would love to find a small, stuffed historical figure of some kind to toss...(that sounds far stranger than it is) and thought Disney would be just the place to find, like, a stuffed Ben Franklin or something. No dice.

I have no idea why they don't play up the Native AMerican aspect of the wildwest or even Gold Rush/Pioneer eras more?? :confused3 You could cram a TON of stuff in there for all of those. How about Colonial stuff ? I mean really quality good stuff, like tinware, Shaker stuff, Amish quilts. THAT'S IT! I'm gong to apply for merchandising/Imagineering there! :lmao:

5. I, too, was endlessly amused by the number of women I saw walking around in heels and other ridiculous get-ups. Now, I will say that one of the nice, fun things about Disneyworld is that people do often dress up a bit more than they might at other amusement parks, but heels...super short skirts? :scared1: At least she had the legs for it...saw plenty of women strutting around like that who just, well...no. One should know one's limits! :rotfl2:

That's waht I said earlier- she admittedly did have great legs; sadly far too many wear that kind of get up and really don't have what it takes to pull it off. Regardless of one's personal bounderies of what's appropriate or not, this particular one (I have a few more) stood out as out of place, and uncomfy.

6. I, too, own that Mickey head wine stopper. :rotfl: The one from your grandmother, however, is far more beautiful.

It was a lucky find, and since I'm the only one who drinks any wine to speak of in the family, i was lucky enough to get it.

I would agree with you there - I have seen enough girls in Berlin wearing a similar stlye! :goodvibes

I think fashion very much relies on people getting used to certain styles. Very often I have found myself buying a style of clothes which I considered hideous a year earlier, but constant exposure to it made me start to like it. Therefore I have the rule to not buy clothes when in a foreign country: what is fashionable there might not be at home and while there I think it would be great, but when back home it does not look good anymore at all...

That's why I said earlier (to temper my ridicule somewhat), that to me, it looks as though she is from out of the area, and just perhaps didn't know the fashion of a theme park. You are very right. The things we bought and wore EVERYDAY in kazakhstan, were simply NOT at ALL appropriate for here. That's why, in part, MKs feel so backward and out of place when they come back. Folks who travel, like foreign exchange students, business travelers and the like, really would do so, so much better, if they have what we call " culture brokers". THey come alongside someone new the culture and help them navigate things like what's appropriate/ inappropriate behavior, dress, jokes and humor, how to shop, visit natives, all of that. It's a partnership in its purist form, and really a two way deal.

OMG I think I totally missed this !!! Only 22 pages later !!!

:scared1::scared1::scared1: I wondered where you were, Rosie. I thought you might be mad at me for not being too regular on your PTR lately- a sad reality for everyone's that I follow right now. Between the Meet coming up this weekend, Spring break last week, and school starting this week, including me, it's been really hard to keep up.

I used your links and am now caught up!!!! Loved all your purchases !!

Glad to have you back, Sweetie!!!

yep, you can come, but im not sure on the pricing yet, may be free. why not share with everyone.

Oh goody, goody!! But you didn't answer my big ??? Dole Whips??

oh hey, I don't think I said (meant to but was distracted by gagawannabe) but congrats on the clear scan. I get called back every year and even though I expect it (and wish they'd just do both at once, (the fact that they don't irritates me to no end) it stresses me out every time.

That seems like a very very good rule. I might say the same it true for different parts of the country. What might look cool here, might be awful in another part of the US and vice versa.

OK, here is the CONFESSION of YET ANOTHER MORONIC MOMENT!!! I did not even know until recently, when I was re-reading the menu for R&C that the cup was a keeper!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1: NO IDEA!!!! I sadly left it there on the table in complete oblivion. :sad1: Anyway, if I had it hanging around, it might possibly always remind me of how lame the drink was.

And you just could be right. Although, the headaches were pretty much a constant for 3 days- drink or no. May have easily exacerbated it though, for sure.

ok if it was 3 days I don't think it was the drink. Heck, I could see myself leaving the glass even if I knew it was a keeper. I do it with leftovers when we are in restaurants all the time! :rotfl:

At the very least (obviously more) it made me turn my head and wonder, "WHAT in THE HECK?!!" My speculations are (and I responded in kind to someone earlier- I thought it was Magdalene, but I couldn't find it) that indeed she was foreign, and simply didn't understand the "fashion (not)" of a theme park, or like you say, was there on a VERY short trip, and had no intentions of even going to WDW when she packed. Business trip (likely not) or other???? Either way, it looked out of place, and was enough to make me notice and ask the questions. Regardless, if she had to do almost ANY walking, she was going to be seriously sore in a pretty short time.

I don't know about that, you might be surprised how comfy a wedge like that can be if you are used to walking in heels. I would agree that it's unlikely she was there on a business trip....:rotfl:

We should hear ANY day on that one. Meantime, he has applied to several jobs in the fricken middle of nowhere in Nevada. Is it my lot in life to endure 14 degree winters and 112 degree summer with no Walmart within 500 miles? Really??!!

I start tonight, but want to ditch this one for a T/TH class that I"ll try for tomorrow!! I hope, I hope, I hope...

There are worse things than no Walmart (I am biased though, it gives me hives, I won't go in). But..P&PT coming your way on the job front.

China has some awesome indoor areas, which suddenly brought a newfound oomph to my quest. It was suddenly looking more likely that I’d get all the way through my pursuit to find one small treasure from each EPCOT Country, despite a headache that just wouldn’t quit banging on my head. I entered the museum-ish area, and was suddenly side-tracked. Those clay army guys abruptly became something I wanted to look at for a very long time, and I ended up taking an insane amount of photos (soon to turn into a really, really stupid mistake) of them. Headaches, scorching hot Florida sun, and souvenir hunting aside, they are mesmerizing, and very difficult to simply walk away from once they suck you in. Maybe they are cursed like the mummies of Egypt, or enchanted like the sirens, but I defy anyone to take just one photo. I’m not sure how much the A/C had to do with my extended tenure in House of Clay Army Men.

After frivolously using up more of the POS battery, I went in to explore the Temple of Happiness. Here’s your obligatory shot of the intricate ceiling that is equally hard to resist photographing,

DisneyTrip2010996.jpg

and wandered around hoping I’d timed taking in the China film just right. Edited to change: I thought I had caught it this day, but going back through the receipts proves me wrong. There is just not enought time between my purchases to have seen the movie, and traveled from one pavilion to the next AND watched the movie.

On the way out, I grabbed a couple more nice shots of the Pavilion,

DisneyTrip2010998.jpg

DisneyTrip2010999.jpg

then heard a fanfare that was too difficult to ignore. Clanging cymbals, gongs, and Eastern sounding strings called visitors to a little area set up for these amazing acrobats. If you’ve never caught their act before- Please run if you see them setting up stage!! They are worth the entire 15 minutes (approx.) of standing under blistering sun.

DisneyTrip20101005.jpg

Here are 2 videos from the act in China that defies the limits of human talent. Watch and be amazed!

Finally, I needed to go in and grab my souvenir, and ended up having a long chit-chat about chopstick holders. The CM who helped me was as passionate about Chinese merchandise as my daughter is about getting a snake lately- zealous might be an apt description. And that, Ladies and Gentlemen is where the secret of Chinese mass production and world domination of infiltrating the globe with “stuff”, may have its advantage: ardent salesfolks, and LOTS of them. I am living proof that just about anyone will buy something they don’t need and may never ever actually use.

IMG_0087.jpg

Taking a very important lesson from more than one of my DISer Colleagues, I consulted my (eh hemmm…) stack of saved receipts, and one says I purchased that set of ironically authentic Chinese chopstick rests for $8.00.

From here on out, there will be no pictures of the last 2 countries in my Around the World Shop. The capturing of that amazing video cost me the last of my POS battery but, had it remained a faithful companion, I would have given you a glorious picture of my most amazing, most tantalizing and wonderful snack. In fact, it was so incredibly creamy and luscious, I had it not once, but twice! By now, as you’ve guessed, I had made my way around to Norway, and it was time to seek out not only the 2nd to last souvenir, but also bona fide latte. Perhaps THAT was the reason my head was screaming to stop and seek refuge. When your head is playing its own version of 76 Trombones in your brain you’ll try anything- not that a REAL coffee, and a tasty one at that, is such a bad thing to try.

But first things first. I quickly hopped into “The Store”. I have absolutely no idea what it’s called- oh yes! The Puffin’s Roost or something like that, and was instantly overwhelmed with Laila. Too weak to refuse its invitation to douse myself with it, I did. In fact, I used just about enough to warrant a call out to the afterhours mopping crew to come clean me up. Dripping and fairly stinking, I said a quick prayer of thanks that I was still solo; if I hadn’t been I might very soon have found myself like that after my shameless bath of $75 an ounce perfume.

Then I went to covet and fondle the $450 sweaters. I love them all, and always play a little secret game with myself deciding which one I’d buy if I ever win the lottery. But quickly coming to the realization that those are clouds in my coffee, (oh yes, still need to get that coffee) I moved further on to find a special Norwegian something. Remember how I struck out in trying to find a straw ornament in Germany? Well, apparently, the Germans aren’t the only ones who practice this craft. I picked up this cute little straw star ornament for $3.95, and now it hangs in my family room from a shelf of knick-knacks. Score!

IMG_0089.jpg

I do not have a picture of my latte, nor one of the most wonderful dessert/snack ever- my beloved Rice Cream of Norway. If you think it sounds like Rice Pudding, perish the thought immediately. It is NOT! It is rice cooked well in milk, then folded into fluffy whipped cream (please DO NOT ATTEMPT this on a diet!) and topped with strawberry preserves! Holy big bologna! I sat there getting loaded up on many hundreds of calories and sipped my picture perfect latte and peacefully wrote out my thoughts of the day under the restful eaves of the Kringla. I LOVE the Kringla! I love to sit in the shade and people watch, and although I found it highly amusing, I did not enjoy my view of the guy at the table next to me who had various bits of coconut from his School Bread dangling all over his beard.

I was feeling somewhat recharged, yet still dragging and ready to finish things up. I had made the decision to quickly “do” Mexico and then head back to the POP for several reasons. It was definitely NOT my original plan to bail so early, but I needed to get this headache under control, give my feet a rest, as blisters were starting to break out on my feet like acne on a 13 year old’s face, and most importantly, the POS needed charging. So trudging off to Me-hee-ko, I entered the ever-twilit sanctuary of Donald’s ride. Feeling absolutely no need to fiesta with the Duck, I started looking for my swizzle sticks. Remember those?? I wanted a chili swizzle in the worst way, but they no longer sell them, I was told. Okaaaay… Plan B. There were mini sombreros, shot glasses, little Mexican flags, and the like, but in the end, I came out with this:

IMG_0091.jpg

IMG_0092.jpg

It is a hand-painted ceramic piece that hangs gracefully by my stove, where I see it many times a day. As with all the other special trinkets that I’d collected, now numbering 9, I see it and am reminded of how much God had blessed me with this trip.

A quick re-cap of my picks for a low budget Shop Around the World: (Totals with tax)

Canada: Wait for another day
1:50 PM UK: Teabag Rest $8.52
2:25 PM France: Mickey Wine Stopper $9.54
3:47 PM Morocco: Brass Pocket Mirror $6.12
Japan: Wait for another day
4:26 PM U.S: Voices of Liberty Soundtrack $19.15
4:43 PM Italy: Ceramic Mini Masquerade Mask $8.52
5:00 PM Germany: Cowbell $8.47
5:15 PM China: Chopstick Rests $8.52
5:30 PM Norway: Straw Star Ornament $4.21
6:23 PM Mexico: Ceramic, Hand-painted Cross $9.54

Total: Not including Canada and Japan-- $82.59.

If you’ll recall, I had budgeted about $8-$10 per item, and can proudly say it can be done. The secrets to getting it all done in one day are: KEEP GOING, don’t spend too long in one country, choose fairly quickly, don’t leave a country without one, unless you are absolutely SURE you WILL be back or have something very definite in mind. This was a really fun endeavor, and I’m glad I did it! It took me into the shops that normally I rarely get into, and provided some fun CM interactions that I wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. As you can see, it took me about 5 hours, and that was skipping 2 countries. If you want to SEE the pavilions AND take in the entertainment AND shop, you will definitely need to start at 11:00- it's an all day thing. And with that, I'm going back to poop out at the POP.

Next up: A is for: Another Attack on EPCOT

I really want to spend more time in the pavilions. Watching your amazing shopping race aroudn the world shows me how very little I've seen.

Lack of caffeine would explain the headache (though not 3 days of it)

I think I like your last find the best. :goodvibes I really really hope I get to see it in person. :goodvibes

I saw that you are up. I just got back from class and finished writing and getting this up, and am pretty bushed tonight.

I too would love to spend even more time in there; by the end of my 'race' I was too draggin' to really see much more. The first half got the lion's share of attention.

See! It really wasn't the drink, nor the lack of caffeine I think but perhaps and giant combo of heat, bright sun, excitement, lack of enough water, AND lack of caffeine and on at least one occassion, a bad drink. At DHS, I'd had the Apricot Sour but had the headache before. In the end, I think it really was just a Providential way of saying, go back to the room, take a break and pick it up later. Which is exactly what I ended up doing.

I really, REALLy like my cross too. In fact, the center of it reminds me of your sunflower paper you designed- lovely! It really doesn't go well with the colors I"m shooting for in my kitchen, but hey, sometimes matchy, matchy has to go in order to accomodate special tlhings. :goodvibes

Saturday is going to be really nice! So far, we've to Toni AND Terri, me, Camilee, Tammie, and a local friend and MAYBE my hubby going on the wine circuit and picnic lunch. Tammie and Camille and I have all decided what were' bringing to the potluck on Sat. night, and Tammie has a pampering surprise up her sleeve for all of us. I think there is a vague plan to play Disney Scene It, sit in the hot tub, giggle and just relax that evening. I truly hope you can come!

Weren't you calling this "POC" before? Seems like we moved up a notch on the vulgarity scale. But when it craps out on you, I can understand giving it a new designation.

Here’s your obligatory shot of the intricate ceiling that is equally hard to resist photographing

Yep, that can't be done either.

Nice recap, and nice job shopping around the World Showcase! You got lots of nice souvies and kept the expense to a minimum. :thumbsup2

Wow Liesa, I'm impressed! You made excellent time around the WS, reminds me of the Amazing Race where they have to complete certain tasks!

I love all of your purchases too. Really interetsting finds. I bought the same Norweigan straw star ornament as well, isn't it pretty? I love it!

Man, that stupid headache was determined to plague you, wasn't it? Ugh! I hope you were able to relax back at Pop then.

I think you've proven yourself quite worthy to be my personal shopper now. So here's what I'm thinking...next trip, I'll fly you over to Disney and give you a set amount of $ with strict instructions to purchase unique items! What do you think?? Actually, come to think of it, I already have to fly you to Disney for your 5 step flashing program anyway so now I can really get my money's worth outta ya!

Soooo, how was class last night?? Were you able to switch to the one you wanted??

Still praying for excellent news on your DH's job front too! Nevada isn't so bad. I mean, ya sure, it's a desert but it does have some pretty scenery. And if you can make your way to Vegas, well, with your flashing skills, you just might fit in there...:rolleyes1:laughing:

Oh goody, goody!! But you didn't answer my big ??? Dole Whips??
well of course there will be dole whips but not hte ones you are accustomed too...my version has some pinapple rum in them. now thats a party.

good update, but i have to ask have you used your chopstick holders yet?
popcorn::

I was hoping to see the smiling guy that I noticed.

Nope, never noticed him at all; but I will definitely be on the watch for Glenn's smilie guy next time.

Can't be done.

I defy anyone with a camera to just walk away.

Weren't you calling this "POC" before? Seems like we moved up a notch on the vulgarity scale. But when it craps out on you, I can understand giving it a new designation.

This was the 2nd day in a row this happened, and I was pretty fed up with it. I probably could have sucked up the headache and marched on, but with no camera and a TR to write, what was the point? :lmao: Luckily a backup battery was on the way.

Yep, that can't be done either.

See!

Wha...? Receipts? You're going back through receipts....that you saved???!!!

I know. Shocking, ain't it! :rotfl2:

I think I saw somewhere that they aren't going to be there anymore. :sad1:

I had heard that too- but of course, how long can a troop of 10-13 year olds hang out in the US? I'm pretty sure it was a limited engagement, although, I have no doubt that China could come up with a practically unlimited number of replacement children. They apparently have many who compete in the Olympics every year. :lmao::lmao:

I knew it would, my friend.

Hmmm, where did you just read that? At the top of your receipt, maybe?

No, honestly, I did remember it at the last minute.

I went with the school bread. Maybe I'll try rice cream next time.

The name of it is quite deceiving, and really, it's quite intoxicating in a caloric sort of way.

Nice recap, and nice job shopping around the World Showcase! You got lots of nice souvies and kept the expense to a minimum. :thumbsup2

THANKS! I think I did ok. I would have loved to find more in the $3.95 range, but hey, you know me by now. Always looking for a bargain.

Great TR!! I had started reading this a couple weeks ago and got hooked :surfweb:. Can't wait until we go back soon, so in the meantime I will be subbing along!!!

Wow Liesa, I'm impressed! You made excellent time around the WS, reminds me of the Amazing Race where they have to complete certain tasks!

I love that show!! Did you see the one in Almaty?? What a bunch of buffoons!

I love all of your purchases too. Really interetsting finds. I bought the same Norweigan straw star ornament as well, isn't it pretty? I love it!

It was the best one for the price for sure! quite a bargain, and now I'm thinking I probably could have gotten 2. :headache:

Man, that stupid headache was determined to plague you, wasn't it? Ugh! I hope you were able to relax back at Pop then.

It was. And it really put a damper on my touring. But I did what I set out to do, and that's all good.

YAY!! Champion Shopper Title! And me, not even a big shopper at heart. :lmao:

And what can I say? I"m seriously liking this idea!! ANd since you have to fly me out anyway, it's a twofer for you, isn't it? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Soooo, how was class last night?? Were you able to switch to the one you wanted??

It was good, but I go again to a different section today with an add/drop and try to get in. I hope, I hope. But honestly, if I don't, the M/W nights at my LOCAL high school is not a bad second option. It would just save Bek 2 days of commuting on the bus and I can be home on those evenings.

Still praying for excellent news on your DH's job front too! Nevada isn't so bad. I mean, ya sure, it's a desert but it does have some pretty scenery. And if you can make your way to Vegas, well, with your flashing skills, you just might fit in there...:rolleyes1:laughing:

LOL! Yeah, but I think this is a fair ways from Vegas. Think Siberia northern NV, with more cattle, and fewer McDonalds.

well of course there will be dole whips but not hte ones you are accustomed too...my version has some pinapple rum in them. now thats a party.

good update, but i have to ask have you used your chopstick holders yet?
popcorn::

Now THAT"S a party!! I like your idea!! :thumbsup2

NO, haven't used 'em yet, but will have a VERY good opportunity ;coming up this weekend...:rolleyes1

Great TR!! I had started reading this a couple weeks ago and got hooked :surfweb:. Can't wait until we go back soon, so in the meantime I will be subbing along!!!

WOW!! Another Oregonian!! WOOT! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

:welcome: It's sooooooo great to have you along for the ride! You are more than welcome to join in and I'm so glad you are enjoying it! BY THE WAY, look for a PM in your inbox. ;)

Hey, aren't you worried that the letters for your chapter titles will cycle around to "Z" again and you'll be sorry that you used 3, count 'em 3, Z-words in this title? There aren't that many you know. You shouldn't just go throwing them around like they were "T's" or something.

GB, question --- and this may be obvious to all except me...why do you and a few other people have a separate website for trip reports?
Missed this the other day. Sorry about that.

This can be a bit of a Pandora's box so I'll give a cliff notes version. During Zzub's Battle For My Wallet VI TR, there was a misunderstanding on the boards and his TR was closed and locked. (Even he doesn't know exactly what happened...and to avoid any issues, I wouldn't really discuss that here.)

Thus his blog was born as a place to finish Battle VI.

How the rest of us were pulled in is a rather long story, but we all morphed in over the course of a few months prior to actually beginning our TR's. My current TR and both of my upcoming TR's are all about trips to non-Disney destinations. Thus they could not be posted here.

At some point, I'll transition into the 2012 WDW PTR / TR, but for now there is not much to write about it. Aside from trying to nail down where we are going to stay, (still not decided) I haven't had time to acutally do any other planning. I don't even know for sure what week we are going. :scared1:

Great update Liesa.

The headache sucks. I HATE having a headache on vacation. Especially in a park.

Hope it cleared up for you!

Great job on the snacks and souvies!

a two way deal.

Glad to have you back, Sweetie!!!

Never mad at you Liessa:hug: but I have not had much Dis time lately and unfortunately missed the new thread:sad2: I was wondering just the other day where you were and scrolled WAY down and found ya and the new thread!!Seems like I never have more than an hour at a time to Dis and I tend to need about 4 times that amount to stay on top of everyone !!

Hey, aren't you worried that the letters for your chapter titles will cycle around to "Z" again and you'll be sorry that you used 3, count 'em 3, Z-words in this title? There aren't that many you know. You shouldn't just go throwing them around like they were "T's" or something.

Nah, no one will actually REMEMBER squat that I'm writing or using anyway. Besides, I have a large arsenal of "Z" words at my disposal.

Which is exactly what I ended up doing.

good to listen to yourself!

I really, REALLy like my cross too. In fact, the center of it reminds me of your sunflower paper you designed- lovely! It really doesn't go well with the colors I"m shooting for in my kitchen, but hey, sometimes matchy, matchy has to go in order to accomodate special tlhings. :goodvibes
it kind of does! Matchy matchy can go too far, it's good to mix it up.

Ok so here is the scoop as I know it today, which is not remotely final.

Poor Kendall's team has to "play in" to State cup, which they didn't expect to have to do. It's over the spring break for almost all the team. As a result, 3 families have trips planned and girls out. And 3 girls were already out due to injuries MAJOR drama has ensued. You can only imagine how Jeff's ex is dealing with the fact that some families scheduled vacation when this potentially could happen.

I really need to be at her game(s) to support her as it could be brutal and over before it starts based on all those factors. Because of the scheduling fiasco we aren't quite sure when the games are yet!

Here is what I do know.

Friday:

For sure: All day tradeshow for me till 6pm, I'll be wiped. Evan has some stuff that night but nothing Jeff can't handle.

Not sure: Kendall may have a state cup game that night, no idea where.

Saturday:
For sure: Eric has swim lessons. Kendall has a 1pm state cup game in Buckely.

Not sure: Evan is supposed to have a baseball game but we don't have the schedule yet.

Sunday:
For sure: My nephews bday party. He'll live if I miss.

Not sure: Kendall may have a state cup game, no clue on time or location.

Ideally she has her game Friday, Evan's baseball game is at 9 am and I head to Salem after the game in Buckley. That'd get me there around 6 I think? Not sure if I'd bring Eric or leave him so he can go to his cousin's party. Might let him pick.

If Ev's game is during K's I'll see if my folks can help. He'll live if I miss even though it's the first game of the season.

The wildcard is her game. If it's on Sunday, but later in the day, that's doable from Salem. If it's at 9am (which sadly yes, they do) then I have a real problem.

So...stay tuned! Sorry for all the detail but didn't want you to think I was blowing off figuring it out, I'm on hold (held hostage?) by 2 different teams/leagues lol
