ABCs of Trip Reporting, Pt. 2-Life Can Be Crappy and Then You Move On (3/7)

I am glad that Tate foudn some German friends! :thumbsup2 I was expecting hom to connect quite well in Germany, this is a country that loves potatoes. :goodvibes

I am way behind and don't really know where to start to comment. But I need to say that I hope your DH will get the job he wants! And I am so relieved that your scare was just a scare and nothing of more consequence.

I love the store in Japan as well, it is for me one of the highlights of Epcot. Not only do I enjoy the merchandise, but the whole atmosphere is so welcoming.

I hope the German bell will be usefull for you, but I am sorry that you did not find the stuff you were hoping to buy. :confused3

That Tate really knows how to party!

Yup had both too.... within months of each other :scared1:

Not a great couple of visits. All is good but really, don't scare me twice for no reason.

In fact I heard from a friend at work she had an abnormal one at the same place I did. We just go to a different office now.

Good move on changing offices. False alarms suck!

:lmao:How nice that the Liesa greeting is intact, especially since you're offering your 5 step program!:lmao:

I just thank God that I went to all those appointments like a good girl! Now I'm always going after my friends and family to make sure they get their pap!

And yes, dole whip floats anytime I want sounds perfect!:thumbsup2

I like to keep my customers happy! :lmao:

YES! keeping those appts. are so important! Good girl. I wasn't able to have regular checkups for all those years I was gone, so am partly playing a lot of catch up right now in a lot of health areas.

Dole whips on demand. I like this concept!

Sorry to hear about your re-call for a second look-see. Judy had that same thing about a year ago. It's very nerve wracking. Fortunately, all was A-okay in her case also.

Praying for gainful employment for hubby!

From what I am hearing it's almost worse for the hubbies. Funny, we dont' worry quite as much for you when you get your man exams. :confused3 Not really sure why.

It IS fun to see who is following along, isn't it?!? :cheer2: It is such a help to have the chapters, ya'll have so much fun over here things CAN move fast...and already on a second thread!!! :faint: AMAZING!! I have loved everything! And I just adore Maroo, she provides such great info to all of us Wish Trippers! :worship:

I'm so glad you are enjoying it!! REally, that tickles me! Even though, it moves fast, keeping up adds some hilarious moments to the day.

Wow, I missed a bunch of major stuff in the past 30-or-so hours!

1. Liesa, I'm so glad your appointment turned out fine. Whew!

2. Good luck to your DH!

3. Happy birthday, Maroo!

Sorry, I hitcha with a bunch of life stuff in a short time. Your regularly un-scheduled updates will now continue.

I am soooooo happy to hear this news!!!! I knew everything was going to be ok!!!!! There has been a lot of good news going around recently. ;) :goodvibes:goodvibes

:woohoo::woohoo: :yay::yay: :woohoo::woohoo:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

It's been a good couple of days- on all accounts. Thanks for standing in the gap for me.

HA! Glad I could entertain you. Even though it is HIGHLY unlikely you'll ever get the true Liesa Greeting. :lmao:

Thanks, Kathy!! And thanks for listening last night. I confess I was nervous- just a bit....

I got a phone call yesterday telling me my Mamm Exam was not "normal" and was sent back for a "re-take" and U.S. today. I was not SCARED, but those kinds of phone calls always cause me a bit of concern.

I was "squished" again, and after the US the tech says, "I'll go show these to the radiologist and either he will come talk to you, or I will come back. It should only take a couple of minutes."

LONGEST 5 MINUTES OF MY LIFE!!!

I thought many things in those 5 minutes, including:

Hmmm.... what's cancer going to mean with no insurance? (FAR fewer trips to WDW!)

What will I look like with a wig on? (Hmmmm.... Maybe I should have gotten the Sir Hiss hat afterall.)

Will radiation mean I won't crave Taco Bell Burrito Supremes anymore? (Or Jiko for that matter!)

Those and 1,000 other questions raced through my mind, but I'm here to say, All is fine with the ladies. For the couple of you whom I asked to pray, thank you!!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: Liesa, I am SO happy to hear the news. I told you it was all going to be good! And any time you need a talk, you've got my number. I can tell you with the radiation I underwent all I wanted to do was SLEEP--I was so tired.

Now, off to read your update.

Do tell, All! What would you buy if you could buy up props, hardscaping or such????

I'd like the Wilderness Lodge. And a monorail, if it's not too much to ask.

So, can I bring home Wilderness Lodge and just live in it as my house? I think it would fit perfectly into the Rocky Mountains. ;)

I got dibs!

Welllll... You can certainly have WL, but I think you'd have to fight Mark for it! I suppose it's large enough for a couple families to live in though. Think you could all get along?? :lmao:

We'll have to arm-wrestle for it. Or have a movie-quoting contest. ;)

The more the merrier!

Oh. Well, I guess if you're ok with sharing, then I am too. If you're nice, I'll let you use the monorail.

pixiedust: Sending some pixie dust for your husband and for you. I hear that hugs help too.

She actually tried to convince me that nobody was going to judge her by what she was wearing. I immediately informed her that she was wrong and everybody would be judging her by what she was wearing. She tried to counter act be putting on a strapless summer dress she had gotten when shopping with her grandma, I told her nice now put a sweater on over it.

Thanks!! And hugs sure do help. :goodvibes

Like I say, right or wrong it happens. Everyone does it, even if we don't mean to. Opinions are formed, and we sometimes unintentionally 'judge the book by its cover'. My mom always taught up to put our best foot forward- it will always work towards your advantage. ;) She is very wise.

So glad every thing turned out ok!! That is scary. This happened to me on my last mammogram as well. I think my DH was even more scared than me! But mine turned out ok to.

Love the little bell you got from Germany. I may have aquired one as well when in Germany....:rolleyes1 I love it I always wanted one! I wanted one like the ones people have in Europe when cheering on people like in the Olympics! It took me forever to pick one out because it had to have the right ring/tone to it. DH and kids thought I was nuts, it's one of my favorite suvies I brought back. :)

I think a lot of false scares come out of them, but imagine how many ladies have had their lives saved by them. I'll gladly take a false and be more confident that in the unlikely event its not, it will be caught in time. nonetheless, scary stuff!

It is so cute. Mostly it's just a little decorative piece that I keep with some other bells of the household, and I just look at it and remember. Mine says it's made in Germany, so I know it's the real deal. We didn't get to do much souvenir shopping while there, (limited luggage space and cash) so this was a nice little find to bring home. The one souvie I didn't get in GErmany that I really wanted was the set of straw ornnaments; when I went to get it the shop was closed. Came home to find out, we have several, and I have a little surprise in the next installment. ;)

You should post a picture of your bell! I'd love to see it!

I wanted to say I am Praising God for good news following your mammogram and I am praying for your DH about the job! :goodvibes

THANKS!! SO, SO much!!! Standing together is such a privelege!

Another great chapter Liesa!

Tate, Tate, Tate. :sad2:

Good job finding the Hidden Mickey's.

It's good to hear that Via Napoli looks like it has many tempting offerings.

What animal is hanging around this guy's neck? He looks like he was playing that game they play in Crapistan with a dead goat.

Tate has some amazing adventures on this trip- really, he's just getting rolling.

I may actually think about putting Via on the next trip list. We'll see... I liked what I was seeing though. And the atmosphere sure was fun and upbeat. Light and bright and lots of energy.

OMGosh!! I have no idea! Magdalene!! WHAT is that?!!

I am glad that Tate foudn some German friends! :thumbsup2 I was expecting hom to connect quite well in Germany, this is a country that loves potatoes. :goodvibes

You were absolutely right! Tate liked Germany and found some good times with good people!

I am way behind and don't really know where to start to comment. But I need to say that I hope your DH will get the job he wants! And I am so relieved that your scare was just a scare and nothing of more consequence.

I am pretty impressed you are even commenting at all during your trip!! :worship: Are you having fun??

We should know about the job by next week sometime. Meantime, we just wait and hope.

I love the store in Japan as well, it is for me one of the highlights of Epcot. Not only do I enjoy the merchandise, but the whole atmosphere is so welcoming.

It is for me too. I think I still like the Moroccan Pavilion a bit more, Japan has so much to offer! And yet, it has so many restful spots to escape the relative chaos of Disney- an oasis of calm so to speak.

I hope the German bell will be usefull for you, but I am sorry that you did not find the stuff you were hoping to buy. :confused3

It is pretty to look at, and is a nice addition to our bell collection. And worry not! I did make a nice find that you'll se in the next installment! ;)

That Tate really knows how to party!

He added quite a bit of adventure and fun to our trip! He provided some serious laughs that are coming up soon!

It was so good to be re-assured by you!! THANKS!!!

I look at you and am amazed at what a champion you are- you are such an inspiration!!

I got dibs!

We'll have to arm-wrestle for it. Or have a movie-quoting contest. ;)

Oh. Well, I guess if you're ok with sharing, then I am too. If you're nice, I'll let you use the monorail.

I'm sure you can all play nice. I was just wondering if you'd share the geyser pool...

And Mark, you do realize the monorail doesn't go to WL, right? Wer'e you planning on a 400 million dollar extension to your front door?? :lmao:

Tate...my kind of guy!

Great update, Leisa. But I am sorry that headache is still lingering through your country expedition. :headache:

Love the little bell from Germany.

Ahhh, Tate, loved by so many... :rotfl:

We'll see where that headache takes me very soon!

Isnt' it sweet?!!

And Mark, you do realize the monorail doesn't go to WL, right? Wer'e you planning on a 400 million dollar extension to your front door?? :lmao:

You think any self-respecting DIS Dad doesn't know that? :rotfl2: I figured if we're living in a world where I can have both the WL and a monorail, then OF COURSE we're extending the track. We're also adding customized Philadelphia sports team paint jobs and a special button for me to push that launches fireworks from the train anytime I want, just because I can. pixiedust:

As romantic as each of the Pavilions are, I was not missing that element of my life at all.

 DH isn't reading this, is he?

Seriously, this took me WAY longer than I ever could have imagined. Then again, Charlie Sheen has been in the news far longer than I ever could have imagined as well, so you just never know.

Because he's winning.

It was so difficult to pick one out, especially with the CM who was just making me nervous! He absolutely would not allow ANYONE to touch ANY of the full-sized masks! Whenever anyone would even start to reach out to fondle one, he would give them the total stink eye and glare. Some flinched like toddlers having just having their hands swatted, others paid no heed to the warning and were sorry. It was giving me a really bad vibe, so after about 10 minutes, maybe more, I grabbed one and left. In fact, as I think back about it, I sort of recall that I was even nervous to take a picture- he was cranky about that too.

Did his breathing have a mechanical sound? Was he wearing a mask too? :darth:

Is there some international conspiracy of copying Italian masks that would lead to a sudden devaluation of price to something actually affordable? Just wondering.

HA! You know how every time gas prices go up for what seems like no rhyme or reason, and we all wonder why? I think you found the key.

I mean, for me at least, I cannot fathom going to Disney to eat pizza.

More for me then! :woohoo: We mostly have to subsist on Domino's and Papa John's, so I can see the appeal of this place. And I'll quote my wife: "As long as I don't have to cook, I don't care what we're eating!"

On the back wall, I spied some trees in a mural that just might have an HM. It didn’t take long to find this one:

:thumbsup2

I paid for my little bell, which really rings and was $7.95

Mrs. Knowitall got a bell from here too! We've been amazed at how well it works in getting the kids to the dinner table. So much better than the air horn.

Would I last with my raging cranial discomfort? Would I find a little do-dad from each one? Does Geico really save anyone any money?

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll pop?

DisneyTrip2010990.jpg

Were these the "Hot Italians" you were referring to. :rotfl2:

I love these ovens!!! They are so cool looking. I really want to try this place. It seems really tasty.

DisneyTrip2010993.jpg

Tate!! Got a love the little guy! Looks like he was having some fun.

glad everything turned out for the "ladies"

and as far as what i would take from disney that would have to be the MK train.

as not only do you get the train, but it also comes standard with Platforms at Main street USA, SM, and a construction stop at Toon town. since it goes under some tunnels, think SM, and Space Mountain, you get those as well.

so what a bang for your buck.

also it would parker the happiest so that is my choice.
:thumbsup2

They do that here too, and not just teens. :sad2: DD and her friend wanted to go to town with me the other day, both tried wearing their PJs. I old them if they were leaving the house they needed "real" clothes on. Didn't make them happy but in my house I have last say.

Good for you Mama! Way to stand your ground. :woohoo:

yeah the lazy pajama look is something that can be pulled of maybe once for feeling lazy, but not everyday.

Like say a middle of the night Wal-mart run, I'm not naming names. :rolleyes1

I didn't hear from you about this!! I wish I had so I could have prayed peace for you. I'm just so greatful your okay. I've been down this road too, about this time last year, so after my birthday I get squished again. And I know what you mean by being the longest 5 mins. of your life, I had to get my girls pics re-done also and then had to have one of the lumps (had one in each girl) looked at by an ultra-sound. One of my gal pals showed up to be there with me, got to see waaaay more of me than I would have liked. I told her...."I think we're moving onto a phase of our realationship neither of us were expecting." :rotfl: All turned out fine inspite of natzi tech who did the ultra-sound. Praise God! :goodvibes

I've not had an abnormal pap yet, I"m not sure which would be worse- probably neither- both mean certain bad stuff to follow!

Been there done that too. It's not that bad, really. At least the biopsy part isn't that bad.

I had an abnormal pap 10 years ago. They did a biopsy and I ended up having part of my cervix frozen to remove the cells. Totally freaky and I've never prayed so hard in my life that it would all be ok. At the time my first DD was only a little over a year old and I was pregnant with my second DD. But everything went well and every pap since then has been 100% good. I just thank God that I went to all those appointments like a good girl! Now I'm always going after my friends and family to make sure they get their pap.

Oh my gosh, I can't imagine being preggers and going through that. And by the way...Good for you for getting after your friends! I'm a stickler also, after having half of my cervix removed several years ago. :guilty: I was one stage away from stage one cancer according to the biopsy reports. Keep encouraging your friends, just because it's good one year does not mean it will be the next year. I had a perfectly healthy cervix the year before and in a year I went to highest stage you can be at before cancer 1. I'm sure they could have been sucessful to get everything even if they did find stage 1 cancer, I have no doubt, but no sense pushing it, right?

Thanks!

I heart D-Cot!

ME TOO!!! :woohoo: Listening to it now!! Thank you GB!

What animal is hanging around this guy's neck? He looks like he was playing that game they play in Crapistan with a dead goat.

 Glenn, I thought the exact same thing!! Magdalena says it's just the skin of the animal. Thank goodness! I would hate to think he would wear an entire animal hanging off his neck!

I look at you and am amazed at what a champion you are- you are such an inspiration!!

::yes:: Sooo greatful we have our Ms. Kat.

So long as your not getting over the top here or anything.

Because he's winning.

HA! You know how every time gas prices go up for what seems like no rhyme or reason, and we all wonder why? I think you found the key.

And I'll quote my wife: "As long as I don't have to cook, I don't care what we're eating!"

Mrs. Knowitall got a bell from here too! We've been amazed at how well it works in getting the kids to the dinner table. So much better than the air horn.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll pop?

As usual, keeping us in stitches! :rotfl2: By the way, your wife and I have the same philosophy about cooking and eating. :thumbsup2 You got a good woman there.

:rotfl: Exactly!

Okay as for what hardscapes and or attractions....hmmmmm..... I would have to say the garden lover in me is wanting to have the Living with the Land tour on the boat and labs in my backyard, (minus the yucky fish and gator tanks.:scared:) and the Mickey head flower display in front of MK in my front yard. :cloud9: And THEN....I would like to have Splash Mt. on the other side of my yard (I have to have the house on the land I want to fit all of this on-if I'm gonna dream I have to go beyond Disney, people  sheesh!), it's mine and Mackenzie's favorite attraction to ride together in MK.

1. I hope your DH's interview went really well. I will keep my fingers crossed!

2. I am so glad you call back was nothing. I was called back once and now I sit in the waiting room until the radiologist looks at my films. I have done this for 5 or 6 years. I ask to wait and they never say no. I never want to get called back again! Too stressful!

3. Tate and Jen had the same hat. :rotfl2: I am too lazy to find Jen's picture, but Tate really looks great in that hat. I'm sure Jen would be jealous!:rotfl:
