Just wondering if anyone has the ab lounge and uses it? What are your thoughts? Does it work? Can you feel a "burn?" :teeth: Tell all, please and thanks!!!!

:thumbsup2 A'yup...I have one.

I use it a couple days per week...I do 3 sets of crunches, 20 per set.

It does help!

Don't waste your money. Hire a personal trainer for a couple of sessions and learn to do abdominal work the proper way. You can actually train your abs in a way that'll not only hurt your back but you can make your middle area bigger. Trust me I'm a trainer and 100% of my clients came to me doing ab work the wrong way and some of them have ab trainers. You need to understand what the core muscles are used for in order to train them effectively. Believe me a good trainer can teach you some exercises using nothing but you'll body and you'll feel the burn so bad you'll be cursing her/him. That's not to say that the ab trainer can't be a good tool, but if you don't know how to use it, you'll not get the results you want. Good luck.

I totally agree with jpgirl.

My aunt has one and basically uses it for a large clothing rack. So I asked her to borrow it. I took it home and Michael and I used it for 3 weeks, at least once a day.

I am a former body builder and I NEVER felt a burn or a feeling like I used my abs at all. On the other hand, it's not bad for cardio if you use it quickly and for a long period of time.

I remember reading on a fitness equipment review website that these type of ab apparatus (apparati?) just basically work okay and that's it's better than doing nothing. It's relaly not necessary, though.

I agree you'd get a better ab workout doing proper ab exercises, but also I have found Pilates to really work that region.

GL to you! :wizard:

Actually, I have been doing that, and VERY well. :teeth:

I was wondering about the ab lounge to do some toning.

Both DH and I use the Ab Lounge, Bow Flex, and the treadmill. I do resistance crunches on the Bow Flex, but also throw in some crunches on the Ab Lounge. We both like the Ab Lounge. I can feel the burn. I can't do crunches on the floor, the Ab Lounge is very comfortable and my back doesn't hurt afterwards like if I had done them on the floor.
