AAA Room Only No Advance Fast Passes?

I tried calling for the RO fall discount just to be sure that BLT wasn't covered (it isn't) and to check to see if we had any PIN codes (we don't) and added Magical Express (moving sucks! now we have to fly). Anyway, since this was my last chance for any sort of discount through Disney, I asked about changing to a RO AAA discount. She recommended against that saying that if I did that, I couldn't book fast passes in advance? Is that correct? She also said that I had to contact AAA to get this discount. I thought that I could do RO AAA through Disney? Did I misunderstand?

You can book AAA room only discounts through Disney central reservations if they are available. It's a room discount. You get the all the usual onsite benefits, including fastpass.
The rates are not always available. I find that as the year goes on, there are fewer of them.
I think you got a very confused CM. When that happens to me, I just thank them for the information, hang up and call back later.

You have to contact AAA directly for any packages.
