AAA diamond parking 2012 - EPCOT block-out dates?

Just got my 5 day PH passes from AAA along with a AAA Diamond Parking pass. My parking pass came on the same sheet of paper as the PH passes and just looks like a poorly scanned or copied version. It has a space to write one's name but on the pass is says valid 00/00/00-00/00/00. Which I guess makes sense as the PH passes can be used any time. Still, it would be ridiculously easy to photocopy and give out as many as I wanted to (not that I would!).

It does list 2012 blockout dates which are as follows.

MAGIC KINGDOM 1/1-1/5, 4/1-4/14, 7/1-7/4, 11/18-11/24, 12/16-12/31

EPCOT 1/1-1/5, 2/15-3/3, 7/4, 10/1-10/2, 12/31

HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS 7/4, 12/25-12/31

ANIMAL KINGDOM - NONE

Any idea as to why Epcot would have block-out dates of 2/15-3/3? That is when we are going and I love the AAA spots at Epcot.

It could be because of the Disney's Princess Half Marathon
which starts at Epcot.

Feb 15 is the start of Disneys busy time. They are expecting high crowd levels because its the start of President Day weekend. The schools in New England states have a week of winter break during the Presidents Day week so you will see a lot of kids. Twill mania competition is also at Disney during Presidents Day weekend. Then the following week is the Daytona 500 and a lot of race fans stay at Disney.

I had a similar black & white plain paper diamond pass a few trips ago when I booked though a AAA travel agent. I had no problem using it.

Shelly - Thanks. I guess that makes sense although, the half marathon is on 2/26, so not sure why the dates go all the way until 3/3. We arrive on 2/26.

Just thought it was strange as there was only one block-out date at EPCOT for all of 2011, and none of the other parks had block-outs for those dates.

Guess I'll just keep the pass with me when I go to Epcot and see what happens. Certainly not going to stress about it!
