A Year Late, But Worth The Wait!!

MK sure looks magical - can't wait to see the castle in person! I love all the shots in front of the castle.

Also the food at CP looks delish - we are eating there for breakfast and I can't wait!

Popped over to read your TR... no worries about it being almost a year later! Better late than never, right? ;)

Wow, I had no idea that resort was so huge!

Thank you! haha yeah that's what I was thinking! :goodvibes

I know! I had never stayed there before, but I love it now! It's so beautiful! :goodvibes

It really is! I love MK! Yay, I'm excited for you to see it too :goodvibes

The food at CP is delish! I'm glad you're eating there! Breakfast there is amazing too!!

Day 5:

We woke up late and hung around the hotel for a while. We ate our Croissants and Nutella for breakfast, and I really don’t know why I didn’t take pictures of our breakfast and snack foods! :sad2: It’s a bummer because I would really like to remember what we had! But it’s ok; the dinners are the best parts!! :goodvibes Anyway, we went out to the pool to go for a swim. I read my new (at the time) Jodi Picoult book and listened to my iPod while enjoying the summer sun. :cool1: Today was going to be a lazy day because we weren’t going to go to Animal Kingdom until the afternoon. This trip we did a lot of park hopping, so we were sure that we weren’t going to miss anything by taking a morning off. After our relaxation by the pool, we went back up to the room to shower and change for the day.

We got into our rental car and drove over to Animal Kingdom at 2:00, and made a bee-line for Expedition Everest! My family and I love this ride, though we are not big fans of Animal Kingdom as a whole. There were no FPs left, but the line was a 30 minute wait, so we decided to get in line. I did get to snap a few pics of the pretty scenery on the way, though.

The ride was so fun, but the gift shop was so crowded that it was hard to get out, let alone buy something or see our picture! We wanted to ride Dinosaur, so we booked it over there threading our way through the growing crowds. The line wasn’t too long (about 30 min again), but it was ONE BIG BRAZILLION TOUR GROUP! :scared1: The waiting area was cool and it was a nice relief out of the blistering heat, but I remember the loudness of the queue! Once we were able to see the ride itself our moods uplifted, and were excited! The ride was fun, and scary! :goodvibes And unfortunately it was so crowded that I didn’t take any pictures of DinoLand, so you will just have to trust me that we were there! :rolleyes1 After those two rides, we checked Kali River Rapids, but the line was wayyyy too long, and I remember it being extremely hot that day, and we were getting cranky with each other and hungry, and since AK is so cramped when it’s crowded, we decided to head over to Epcot where we would spend our evening.

So we left AK, and drove back over to the Dolphin where we hopped on the boat to Epcot! Mom and Step Dad got fish and chips in the U.K.

And we ran ALL around the world to China where I got yummy orange chicken and rice!
IMG_2818.jpg

We hung out around China, taking pictures of the scenery.

Then we went to Japan where mom bought me a pearl! :goodvibes I got to choose my oyster and then the Japanese ladies did a big ceremony for me! It was a great experience! I had my pearl made into necklace, and I love it!

After that, step dad left us to hang out at the resort and mom and I kept exploring the WS. We took some pretty pictures in Morocco…

Day 6 coming right up!!

A fun day at AK and Epcot! I can't wait to ride EE again... love it and I think it's the best of all the WDW coasters!

I have to agree with PixieMama - sounds like a fun day!

Yay on getting a pearl!

Also, how did you find Boardwalk at night? We are thinking of visiting one evening but am not sure if we will be able to fit it into our plans.

It was! :goodvibes

Thank you! I love it!! It's a grey pearl- one of the most rare!! :goodvibes I had it set in a necklace, and I love it! (I guess I should've added that in my TR!) HAHAHA woops!! :rolleyes1

The BW is beautiful at night! It's all lit up, and there are street vendors, and all the shops and restaurants are open, so it makes it feel very fun and lively! I would definitely suggest it even if it's just a quick stroll! :goodvibes

Day 6 coming right up!!

I wonder what that little boy behind you was fishing for in the fountain :confused3 :lmao:

I have never experienced the Brazilian tour groups (and hope to never experience them or the cheerleading groups). The only time I remember a large group being obnoxious was in the HM - a group of male high school students were in the buggies in front of me and being loud and a couple of the boys kept telling them to behave themselves (they looked thoroughly embarrassed when we exited the ride). When I passed these two boys, I told them their mommas would be proud of them - they laughed :rotfl2: (well, probably AT me rather than in agreement since I raised 4 boys but you get the picture).

Love Epcot at night - so relaxing to wander around the countries!

HAHA too funny!! :lmao: I didn't even realize what he was doing!!!!

OMG I really hope you don't have to!! They are so loud and obnoxious!! That's too funny about the high school guys :rotfl2: my mom would have said the same thing!!

I do too! It's so beautiful and usually the crowds aren't too bad, and it's cooling down, and it's just perfect!!

I love TRs with tons of pictures! :goodvibes

Then you are in the right place!!! :rotfl: I took tons of pictures this trip and am happy to share them with you all!! :goodvibes Hope you enjoy!

Day 6:

The next morning started out the same as the first: lazy! However we DID have ADRs at Garden Grove for lunch!!! I had never been there, but mom had, and she said the food is delicious! Also, it was a character meal, so I was excited to see some characters! That night our meal was Mediterranean themed, and it was amazing! I was so full after that I could barely walk! The restaurant was nearly empty, so it was quiet, and we enjoyed the plentiful food on the buffet!!!
100_1014.jpg

Our table started with bread and oil, and we each got salads.
100_1019.jpg

100_1017.jpg

Of course we all had to try a little of everything…and then go back for the good stuff!
My first plate…

Pluto came to join in our fun!

After him, Goofy came to dance!

Everything was delicious and we were really happy with our food! We were in a silly mood again, and needed to walk off our huge lunch. On the way out, mom wanted to take a picture of me by the fountain, but when I went to pose, my flip flop touched my leg and it scared me, so I jumped, and mom captured it on camera. :lmao: This made us laugh even harder till we cried!
IMG_2876.jpg

Okay, this one’s better!
IMG_2877.jpg

After our silly giggle fest we made our way to Epcot across the BW. In Epcot, we headed to Future World to ride some rides! On the way, we passed the U.K…

I actually video taped the entire ride on my digital camera! I was pretty proud of myself, but it was rainy, so my camera got all wet! Haha but it’s still cool to watch and remember exactly what the ride is like! After the ride, we of course had to try out the cars in the show room!!

We looked around Mousegears for a while to get out of the rain, and at the counter we met a young CM from Haiti. Mom speaks French fluently, so she started talking to her, and asked her about the recent earthquake. She said she lost six family members during that disaster! :sad1: How sad! It really makes me realize and appreciate how lucky we are! Not to add to the atmosphere of sadness, but it was absolutely DOWNPOURING outside! We ran across the Lagoon in the pouring rain, sliding and slipping in my flip flops and blinking the rain drops out of my eyes! It was so not fun, but we were sure glad when we reached the boat dock! It seemed to take FOREVER though!! Regardless, we made it back safely and snuggled into our beds for the night!

Stay tuned for our last day at the Dolphin!!

LOVE how you're describing our trip, Em!!! Not too much text but tons of pics, that's awesome!!! I could use some CP dinner right about now, I'm starving!!! :lmao:
