A Two Short, Too Different Spring Break Trip (Time to Say Goodbye)

I have to tell you about a special surprise I got this morning. On the front porch, there was a package. Trent went around and got it (we're back door people, and never use the front door) and brought it to me. It was from Jim Shore. You all know what a great guy our Dis friend, Scott (scottny) is. right?

So nice Scott that was a very sweet surprise

With six little kids and a new baby, assorted parents and grandparents, one aunt and one uncle and our friend, Jarvis, who I guess I'm about to adopt as another son, it was a busy place.

Well all I have to say is when I have a kid I WILL be going to MeMom's for the Disney fun.

Girls - that was AWESOME!!!!!!! What a great party!!

After the party and some story time with Bubby,

Jill, Brooklynn, Bella, and I went to Opry Mills.
If you are ever in this area, Opry Mills is a nice mall to visit. It has a Bass Pro Shop, Rainforest Cafe, Nike Outlet, Gibson Guitar Factory, Barnes & Noble, Aquarium Restaurant, a good food court, two carousels, a stingray petting reef, and a big movie theater, along with a bunch of other stores. It's a nice clean mall.

Oh, and it has a Disney Store.

Brooklynn decided instead of making her bucket list,
she'd just put a bucket on her head.

At The Disney Store, Jill found these shoes in Brooklynn's size, and she wanted her to try them on.

Brooklynn, being the shoe girl that she is, felt the need to also try on some others that were not her size.

Then she put on some Tinkerbell wings

and proclaimed that she could fly.

The wings were a little large, so they slipped sideways.

As she walked along the aisles, the wing tips hit thump thump thump against things on the shelves, so I followed behind her righting everything she was pushing sideways... and laughing.


I did laugh.
I do that a lot when she's around.

Erica (VandyFan10) arrived, and we started making our loop around the mall.

The first stop was the Epcot fountain.
Brooklynn threw two pennies in for her and Bella.

Then she went to visit Bruce, the shark,

who is really not Bruce; but she'll learn that on her own someday.

This is what Bella did during most of our mall trip.

Then it was on to the big carousel.

Lots of cute little kids went round and round waving at their families, and lot of us tried to capture pictures on phones and cameras as they whirled around.

Those are just precious moments to me - those smiling faces and tiny little waving hands.

We were on a mission to find out if the RFC hippo had returned to his watering hole, since it had been reported that he had escaped a few weeks ago.

We were glad to see that he had found his way back.

Brooklynn, however, was afraid that the hippo was going to eat Bella.

Jill assured her that he did not have an appetite for tiny girls from Alabama.

She proceeded to put Bella dangerously close, though, in Brooklynn's opinion.

A bunch of Disney girls.

Bella was wet and hungry, so it was time for us to go.

I'm glad it worked out for Erica to meet us at the mall. We were unsure if our schedules were going to 'jive' to meet up, and we were glad that it did work out.

It was a nice day all around.
Now it's early Sunday morning, and everyone is sleeping except me...and the cat. He is hicupping right now and watching me Dis.

We hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday planned.
For us it'll be church, lunch, naps, TV sports, and hanging out. Jill and I will probably go get some pictures developed. Jill and John may go shopping.

Thanks for sharing our Disney Day fun. It made it even more fun to share it with you guys. Maybe if we can never get a real Disney World Dis meet together, we can just meet somewhere out here in the real world and have another pretend Disney World. Even though it wouldn't be the real thing, I'm sure we could all manage to have fun!

How sweet of Scott to send you an Eeyore -- he looks like he fits right in and enjoyed the party!

What a great Disney party!!! MeMom, if you ever decide to retire from teaching, you could be a party planner! I love all the little prizes and wish I had been a kid at the party! Your trip to the mall looks like a lot of fun, too. I adore the picture of Brooklyn clasping her hands in concern while Jill shows Bella the hippo.

That mall looks like so much fun!! In NY we have a mall called Palisades. Its the largest in NY (4th largest in the country) its 4 floors of any store you could possibly imagine, best buy, circuit city, staples, office max, compusa, ANYTHING lol. There used to be a RFC (now a cheesecake factory) the top floor had a target, and a bunch of restaurants. An iMax theatre, barnes and noble, dave and busters...I loved that mall, because I love malls and I love to shop. My friend is going to be working in one of the malls in Tennessee for a week or 2 i have to find out which one!

Even Brooklynn's 'stance' cracks me up....pretty loudly she said 'He's going to EAT her!' even the lady behind MeMom started laughing....it was funny

Morning! You had a terrific weekend! I'm sorry I missed all the excittement.

I have been running ragged the last few days at work, long hours. Our company president is coming on Tuesday, and I had to prepare the store for his inspection.
Last night I went to 4 different WalMart's trying to get a pair of my work shoes that were on sale for 1/2 price. None had my size so I came home at 11pm empty handed.

1+1= 2 CONGRATS ON GETTING GRADE 2!!!
It must feel wonderful.

Wow, the zoo pics are so beautiful. The leopard one is gorgeous! He is so close you can see every detail. Great pic!
I'm partial to the monkeys, so they were great to see.

MeMom, it was nice to see you in a pic with Brooklynn. Very special treat for us.

The "Day at Disney Party" was AMAZING!!!

I wish we all could have been there. You put a lot of thought into it.
You did such a great job on the bus, it looked perfect!
Dumbo looked so cute in his Animal cracker cage.
The pirate plushes are too cute. I like the pirate ducks too. Hope all the gold and jewels were found....

How did you ever find a Zurg toy? You have good collection of all the Toy Story figures.
Trent and Jarvis did a great job of placing the animals, too funny.
I love the cute safari hats and binoculars!
I noticed all the decorations and little Disney touches put around.
You have such creative and cute ideas. Every area looked so fun.
I know the kids had a blast, playing the games and winning the prizes.
They will remember this for years to come.
And the food looked fantastic, everything you could want. Yummy!
I love the Mickey serving plates, I am soo jealous of those.

Looks like a fun party and a fun mall! I love malls too. Someday Nashville is on our list of places to visit and of course the Mall of America. I have to go to the coolest mall sometime!
