A Two Short, Too Different Spring Break Trip (Time to Say Goodbye)

Okay, you've just been put in charge of games.

Do you do goodie bags, too?
Those little hand brooms would be nice additions to those, and maybe some Windex wipes. Yeah, these kids are gonna love a party like this!

Hurray! I love party planning!

Why, yes, I love doing goody bags. Slap some Cinderella stickers on the little hand brooms and you are good to go! :lmao:

Hmmm, we haven't wandered over to the West Side of DtD in probably 15 years or so. Those apples in the Candy Cauldron look delish -- especially those ones covered in M&Ms!!! I love how it is themed around Snow White in there.

Those candy apples look SO very yummy!

I want to try the House of Blues Gospel Brunch, too!

DisneyQuest is pretty fun. My DH liked it a lot when we went. (Of course, he's a guy who loves video games!) I'm glad I tried it, but to be truthful I had more fun playing skee ball in the Pop arcade then I did at DQ!

oooh we loved this side of DTD, especially Chris! That little live music area was his favorite thing of the whole trip I think

Those candy apples look delicioussss! I think the Virgin store is closed now. The huge one in NYC closed too. Stupid economy.

Um, yum!! Those apples look delish. I don't have any desire to really ever check out Disney Quest. Well, maybe when the kids get older.

I probably can't give you an educated answer on this. It has been pretty crowded when I've seen it, so you would want to allow for a couple of hours of time. I haven't heard marvelous reviews about the food, but I'm sure it's pretty much like Rainforest. If you wanted to get out cheaper, you could eat counter service and then just spend time at T-Rex in the gift shop, seeing the dinos in the front area, because there are several, and maybe making a dino friend to take home. I am sure we'll eat there eventually, but since we don't have little boys in the mix, it's not anything that is pressing.

Thanks MeMom. I'm not very excited about the prices though I know Dimitri would flip over it. He loves dinosaurs and he loves loud. Yep, just loud in general. You look in the dictionary under loud and there he proudly sits. ;) Thanks for the ideas and the pictures.

MeMom and Jill, was it very crowded when you were there after Thanksgiving? I have to reschedule and I am looking at that week. We would get there the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

I thought Eeyore's costume was just so clever and cute. The whole parade was great! Everyone should do MNSSHP once. I'm not a Halloweeen person, and I loved it, so if you enjoy all the Halloween stuff anyway, you'll really love this!

By the December trip, Henry will have enough know-how to be a Disney tour guide!

We are very much not Halloween people - so this is good to hear! I think it would just be fun to be dressed up in the MK. I guess we could do that on ANY day and not be looked at as terribly strange though.

He'll be like Brooklynn and calling it "his" Magic Kingdom. :goodvibes

We go to Disney World next month!

YAY!!!! :yay:

Cute purses.

They were singing YMCA out on the stage.

disney3-18-09AKEpcot101.jpg

We watched a couple of races.

disney3-18-09AKEpcot103.jpg

Does the Snow White on that bag have red eyes?

I've never seen anything happening on that stage in DTD. It sounds like it would be fun to watch for a few minutes and enjoy the tunes while venturing around.

I had no idea they had car races in the Lego store. We have never gone inside (much to Joe's dismay! ;)). Do you recall if they sell those big block Legos, (Duplos?)? Henry would have a BALL watching those car races!

She has been on a Cinderella kick lately and for whatever reason she talks about the stepmother all the time.

That is soooooo stinkin' cute!

Guess who is dissing before bed

Completely adorable. :cutie: I love her messages and how she always pics the pirate face!

I told MeMom that if she were older like maybe 6 or 7 I would totally do it. She could invite just girls and when they arrived we would make them change into "rags" and the games and activities would involve cleaning and then before cake and presents they would get to get dressed for the ball. It would be a ton of fun and I'm filing it away for if she wants a Cinderella party in coming years.

What a FUN part that would be!!

Somewhere under all that sugar you can find healthy apples.

I really want to go to the Gospel Brunch here some Sunday.

disney3-18-09AKEpcot118.jpg

Those apples look tasty.

I've always wanted to do the Gospel Brunch too, I've never read a review of it, but it sounds like a great time.

I have a sudden hankering for a candy apple....I wonder why....

Mmm yeah, me too LL!!

I three, those apples look amazing!!!!!

Okay, then, candy apples for everyone!
The good kind - smothered in junk! :thumbsup2

In about 40 hours, you can wander anywhere you want on Disney property, you lucky duck!

Drew has been to DisneyQuest several times. He likes it a lot. I'm with you; I'd be happier with skee ball.

I thought of you guys when I put that picture up, because I remembered how much he likes the live music. It does add a lot to your walking around experience to have stuff like that going on. There were a ton of people participating in singing over at the stage. Just lots of people letting go and having fun!

Who wants healthy apples when you can have an apple like that?!?

Those things probably keep a lot of dentists in business. ;)

I bet you'll go when the boys are bigger. I would guess it's pretty much heaven for little boys.

Just be sure to give yourself plenty of time at T-Rex. I don't think it's a place you'll get in and of very quickly. Dimitri will probably love it.

*******************************

Lots of you are heading on down to our favorite place very, very soon, so I'm going to try to squeeze in some more pictures before you leave.

Day Three - Epcot

We got up pretty early.

Eeyore wanted to check out the latest Disney news, so I let him.

disney3-18-09AKEpcot123.jpg

Mickey wanted me to mail some postcards to some of his friends, so I got them ready to go.

disney3-18-09AKEpcot124.jpg

Some of you remember dancin_princess. She has PMed me a few times, but I don't think she gets to be on the Disboards hardly at all any more.

She used to be a CM at Pop Century. Her dad works part-time at Toy Story Midway Mania. She had arranged for him to pick us up at Pop and take us around the corner to Caribbean Beach. He called about 6:30, I think it was, and said he was out at luggage services, so we went down to meet him. He was so nice, and he just said he was at our service - wherever we needed to go.

My goal was to take pictures of the new pool at CBR, so that's where we headed.

This food court has awesome decor.

disney3-18-09AKEpcot125.jpg

I mailed postcards from here, where the nice concierge did all my Canadian postage for me.

Then it was off to the gift shop where we wandered in, out, and around for a little while.

I went out to take pictures at the pool while Kay and Ed went to get coffee.

Here's dad with his coffee, waving hello to his daughter, since I told him I was putting him on the report.

It was a pretty, peaceful place on a pretty, peaceful morning.

I wanted another picture of DP's dad, since she had to move so far away and doesn't get to see him. Kay volunteered to be in the shot with him.

disney3-18-09AKEpcot144.jpg

Then it was time for us to go to the bus stop, as we were headed to Epcot for rope drop.

CBR greenery.

One last shot of the cool pool.

I know this is a huge hit with kids!

Thanks again to a very hospitable CM dad of one our Disers.
Thanks, Ed, for your kindness. I hope we see you this summer!

Wow some of those postcards look familiar. Declan received a couple from Mickey and the Gang just like them. ;)

Those pictures of CBR brought back some nice memories and it was nice to see the pool with some water in it.

Thanks so much pictures of CBR, I just love to see those pool areas all cleaned up and ready for the guests! We have never stayed there but I hear it's a great resort. How nice of Ed to make you trip even more magical!

For some reason I'm reminded that I need to get back over to DTD..... :rolleyes1

CBR looks so peaceful! I love that pool!!! My goal is to stay in one of the pirate rooms when Owen is older and can enjoy it!

I looked "the world" over for these bowls and glasses, but never found them. Guess we didn't shop the right stores. That, or that was God looking out for my pocketbook......probably the latter!

More resort exploring needs to take place on our next trip! I've never seen Caribbean Beach up close. Looks like a fun place! As always - LOVE the pictures! :)

Wow CBR looks so pretty! I love the shop and the pool. It would be a hit with us big kids if we stayed there

So sweet of DP's dad to pick you guys up!

I am having resort envy looking at those pictures. Our first WDW vacation as a kid with our family -- we had been twice before, but not with dad, we stayed at Carribean Beach. It used to be that you had to book there like a year out, before the other Moderates were built or any value. It was such a treat, and my dad caught the Disney bug there. I am kicking myself that we did not stay there this trip... the pool!

I'm saving Planet Hollywood for a time when we have a longer trip. My DS wants to try it.

I really want one of those candy apples. I wonder if they count as a snack credit?

Cute Tink tee!

CBR is on my moderate wish list. I love how it looks! One day I will stay there, if I ever get a discount code.

The decor around the resort & food court is very neat and colorful.
It was very peaceful, the perfect time for a walk.
Love the pirate ship! Arrrrr! pirate:

How nice of 'Dad' to meet up with you.

I recognize those postcards too, the princess one is on our fridge...:rolleyes1
She still wonders how they knew it was her b-day.

I love those CBR pics! It's making me all nostalgic for our trip last year. We loved the food court and those fun beaches. Of course, we looked longingly at the pool and couldn't go in! We'll have to go back again so we can swim!

I need a hug DIS friends....I just found out on another post that our beloved Disney Store is closing at the end of the month.

I cherished having a Disney Store here.

What's a Disney girl to do....:sad1:....the positive side is I will save soo much money!

I am with ILUVXU, I am having a teeny tiny bit of resort envy at the gorgeousness of CBR! Another trip, perhaps!!!

That was so super sweet of Dancin' Princess' dad -- he seems like a really nice guy!
