TGIF Friends

My word is Today - I’m always grateful to have woken up so I can experience today.

T - TURKEY LUNCH MEAT - I buy it from the town butcher every week. He cooks his own turkey breasts and slices it. I just made my DH’s turkey wrap with it for his lunch today.

O - OXYGEN - I’m always grateful for the wonderful gift of oxygen. No one can live without it.

D - DOCTORS - The topic of my poll today. I’m blessed with some great doctors and I’m very grateful for each of them.

A - ATTIC - We have 3 separate attics in our house, which is awesome for storage. I was just in 2 of them on Wednesday to get the Christmas trees down. These attics are not large attics, but they are big enough for what we need.

Y - YARD - I love our backyard and how we have it set up.

T - Time: You never really know how much time you have left overall, so be grateful for what you've had.
R - Rest & Relaxation: Boy, could I use some right now.
A - Air Travel: With everything going on right now and having to fly today/Monday, I'm grateful for what we've got.
V - Voodoo: Our sweet dog.
E - Ears: From being able to hear to decorating them with earrings, I like ears!
L - Love: As the Beatles so eloquently put it...All you need is love!

Evening all,

It was my last day in work today before I head to Hong Kong and then Shanghai next week, so I've gone with a rather appropriate word:

D = Dogs - I don't have a dog as my lifestyle and work/life wouldn't really be fair on one, but I absolutely love them. I'm that person who will always make a beeline for a dog in someone's house and I want to pet every one I see when I'm out walking.
I = Internet - we wouldn't be talking on here without it, and the amount of information and media at your fingertips is incredible.
S = Sweaters - I own far too many but they are such versatile items that can be worn with pretty much anything.
N = Natural Nails - I virtually destroyed my nails from using gel polishes and wraps, and while it took a long time, I'm super grateful to have my nice natural strong nails back.
E = Electric Car - I've never been 100% sold on my EV but having recently swapped it for a courtesy car for a day, I definitely appreciate it more now! And the amount of money I've saved on fuel vs electric charging is incredible.
Y = Years - I think it's pretty crazy how quickly the years are flying by, but I'm still grateful for all the years I've had so far and hopefully the many yet to come.

Today's Topic (Sat, 11/8) - 3 things you're grateful for inspired by National STEM/STEAM Day

Happy Saturday Everyone

#1 - MUSEUM OF SCIENCE & INDUSTRY IN CHICAGO - This is where my DH works and I am beyond grateful for his job. He really likes his job and it’s so cool that he works somewhere that we’ve gone our whole lives, and always took our girls to their whole lives. We are going there this morning for the big Christmas tree lighting ceremony. It’ll be a fun morning.

#2 - MY CUSTOM PICTURE FRAME STORE - I have 3 great accomplishments in my life - being a good wife, being a good mom and being a small business owner. Being trusted by my customers to frame their artwork, some of it being irreplaceable, was such a compliment and I’m forever grateful for that experience.

#3 - ALL MY TECHNOLOGY ITEMS - My iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and etc all make my life so much easier. It’s crazy to think that at one time we all functioned without them. I can’t imagine how I would feel without being able to FaceTime my DD22, having to use a paper map and more.

Technology in me don’t get along my brain is not wired that way so I struggle with technology not saying I don’t try to overcome that I do but let’s just say I take the slow bus to get there but I’m still on the bus and I’m still trying it just takes me longer to get there than others but once I’m there I do enjoy it it’s not a pretty trip for me to get there though
I think part of the problem is when I was younger you just didn’t teach girls those kind of things and I’m very happy that that’s no longer the case
Thankfully both of my girls do not suffer from the same problems I do quite frankly I am amazed and in awe at how tech savvy they both are

I love my iPhone and previously my iPad and my iPod which I still have and it still works

YouTube video I can’t say enough about how much I love YouTube videos they’re like going back to school for me I am worrying so much from them I’m so happy to people that make them teach people like me how to do things If not for technology for these things I wouldn’t be able to learn how to do these things

Power Tools - I’m slowly learning how to use some power tools Nothing too dangerous don’t care to be losing any limbs here I’m grateful for the technology I’m already have to use these new tools to make things easier while they will be wants to learn how to use them

Hug dear Slo, I enjoyed visiting the Museum of Science and Industry and IMAX with my Dad and Grandparents growing up. Hug dear WDWEPCOT, I am not much into technology. Simple and reliable for me!

Disney rides that run on technology but are powered by imagination and care.
