Be aware that certain sections of the Pop are a long haul to your car from your room.

Week after Thanksgiving, DD and I stayed at Pop for 4 nites. Our only request fwas standard connecting rooms high floor.

We are given two connecting rooms, 2nd floor, bldg 6, 70's section , near the lake.

Not a bad walk to the food court at all, BUT quite a haul to the parking area.
We arrived in the dark and actually got lost trying to find our rooms which is not fun hauling two big suitcases and assorted junk.

Note we have been at Pop before so we thought we knew where we were going, LOL.

I will always request 50's section from now on. So much closer to the parking area. I know it's not guaranteed, but I can try.

Last Dec. we were in the 90's building - and not only was it a long haul from the car, but a pretty long haul to the food court as well..

A few weeks ago I stayed in the 50's with my sister.. She has health issues and a handicap sign for her car so we were told at check-in that we could leave her car (for the entire stay) in the handicapped spots in the "Guest Check-In" parking lot.. Didn't use her van often, but when we did, it sure made things a lot easier..

I can't believe how far it is from some of those parking places to the hotel rooms!

It's hard to tell, when I look @ the map, but, does anyone have any idea how far you actually are from your parking behind Classic Hall if you're staying in the 60s section?

Thanks.

Well, walking fast probably about 5 minutes.

We were in the 60's in September & the parking is actually way over by the 50's for that section. We ended up moving our car out in front of Classic Hall & walking through it to get to it. We had to walk from the parking lot, around the Hippy Dippy Pool & then continue on to our room when we were over by the 50's/60's parking lot. So there's actually no close lot to that building - at least not that we've found. :confused3

Remember that with Pop Century and all Disney resorts, sometimes a different parking area is closer to your room. For example, we were in the 80s section at Pop Century during Hurrican Francis. We wanted to be able to see our car (we had a parking lot view) since we had our convertible with us. We first parked in the 80s parking lot and when we got to our room, the 90s lot was right outside our window so we moved the car.

But we were once given a preferred room at Pop Century in the 70s building (our request for non smoking wasn't met at first). We didn't feel preferred at all. LONG walk to the car which we use every day.
