A Ten Day Ride on A Magic Camel - Almost Finished Trip Report

Enjoyed all the shopping pictures. I need to start making a list of things I need to buy on the next trip to Disney. My DH is good about finding a bench under a tree and letting me shop.

That is definitely one of my favorite things to do at Disney World! I can spend hours just looking - not buying anything. I like to buy, too, when I can afford it, but looking is cheap.

People from around here fly to New York quite often for weekend shopping excursions, so I don't think it would be too crazy to fly to Disney World for a weekend shopping trip, do you?

Have you been to Crystal Palace for a character meal? If so, what are your thoughts on it? We want to take the rest of the group next summer, maybe for another first day kick-off meal.

YUM!

That food all looks delicious. Makes the ham sandwich I'm eating right now look pathetic!

I know I've said this before, but I love how you capture all of the small details in your pictures. You'll have to be the photo shoot director for our November meet!

Edited to say: Notice, I said photo shoot director, not photographer. Because you have to be in at least one pic!

snowbell - my Mom took me on a trip to Italy in 2006, and it was just wonderful! We did Venice and Rome in Sept. too. But what do you think happened when I saw the little Disney store on the main shopping street in amazing Rome? Yep, freaked! :yay: So MeMom thank you for the shopping pictures ! I know what you mean not buying everything you want. For 3 whole years, or 3 trips rather because it's been almost two years since my last trip but I've wanted a medium sized plush Eeyore. I always promise I'm going to get it for myself but I always talk myself out of it, I'm to old for a big stuffed toy, that sort of thing. Plus it's 50 dollars .

But this year, boy....! That donkey's mine !

And I must say that Brooklyn is so so cute with those Crystal Palace characters! And what a brilliant Tiger you guys had! I love Disney :goodvibes !

I myself think it would be the most sane thing a person could do...do...do...do...do...it ;)

Brooklynn is so precious! She's lucky to have a family that loves and adores Disney. It's the best vacation for kids.

I can't wait to see more!!!

Oh and I'm getting some new Disney pens and stationary to use in my classroom. I need something to remind me of the trip.

great update and pics.

you take the best pics. things others would not think of.

CP looks really good. I am thinking of canceling it. Not sure yet. Love the breakfast but might do Plaza for dinner instead of CP.

I love the pictures of Brooklyn at the Crystal Palace! She looked like she was having so much fun! The Crystal Palace is one of my favorite places to eat because Pooh is my favorite and I'm just an over-grown kid! :) I loved taking Hannah there on our last trip!

Loved your CP pics, especially Brooklyn and tigger...cant wait to read more enjoy your fridge and oh you'll need to go shopping ;) to replace that broken kitchenwear :cool1:

I think a Disney Shopping Trip is a wonderful idea. Every trip I say I going to spend the day just shopping at Downtown Disney and the World Showcase at EPCOT, but then never do it. So just a trip for shopping sounds wonderful. I have a rule about buying things, if I do not know where to place it when I get home I don't buy it. Then their is Main Street at Magic Kingdom, all the little shops in Liberty Square, and the shops in Fantasy Land...:cloud9: , a girl can dream.

Crystal Palace is one of my favorites. I love that it is open and the flowers make you feel like you are in a country garden. Plus I have found the character interaction is one of the best. I think it is a great place to start a trip to Disney. Maybe before shopping all day.

The food was so good. The pork was so tender and delicious, especially.

Thanks for the compliments on the pictures. I will happily be the photographer in November. I will be in ONE picture! Maybe.

I did the same thing with a $5.95 cat dish. I looked at it in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 - many times. Then I would just decide the cat already had a perfectly good bowl for free at home. This time, though, I decided that since the price had not changed in all these years, it eventually was going to go up, so I just went ahead and got it. Mostly I decided that if there was anybody's cat that should have a Disney bowl, it was mine. Now that I have it, I'm glad I gave in. Every day when I fill his bowl, I get a little Disney moment.

I myself think it would be the most sane thing a person could do...do...do...do...do...it ;)

Stop, stop, stop! It would take little to nothing to get me in the car and headed down there. Well, it would take someone to go with me, but that is all. I'd be sorry when my Visa bill came, though! I budgeted just enough to get me through the summer and the trip, and that's all she wrote. I'll have to get my Disney fix in smaller, cheaper ways. I will work on our trip report, and we'll have Disney parties. We're hoping to go to Disney on Ice in Huntsville in October, and Brooklynn's BD party will be Monsters, Inc., so we're working on that. Jill found Mike and Sulley PEZ dispensers this weekend! She was surprised, because Mike and Sulley are hard to find these days. We'll play my Splash Mountain Sorry that I was lucky enough to find on ebay for quite a bit cheaper than it sold for in WDW. I'll be excited for Jill's October trip, and maybe if I am a good mom, she'll bring me a treat. School will keep me busy, and I'll count on all my Dis friends' trips, pictures, and reports to hold me through until Thanksgiving.

If I had the money, I'd do it, but I don't, so I won't.

I think it is the best vacation spot, too. She loved the kiddie pool every bit as much as she loved all the other things to do. There is just something for every age and taste all in one place.

I will be counting on my Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge pens to help me with all the dates/notes I will have to be writing down during our first faculty meeting. Did you read how I'm using my trading pins? I'm using them as tacks on the corkboard I use behind my desk. I read it on a teachers' thread, and I love the idea, so I hope it works out! I'll take a picture when I get it put up.

Thanks, Scott. I appreciate that comment. Plaza might be good, but I haven't been there. I loved Crystal Palace, though, and if you haven't tried the dinner, I'd sure recommend you do it. There are other trips, though, so you'll get to every restaurant for each meal eventually.

awwww- Brooklynn is sooo cute with the characters:love:

Thank you. I think she looks very sweet, too. She's been so many times, she thinks they're just family!

I love the pictures of Brooklyn at the Crystal Palace! She looked like she was having so much fun! The Crystal Palace is one of my favorite places to eat because Pooh is my favorite and I'm just an over-grown kid! :) I loved taking Hannah there on our last trip!

It is so pretty in there, too. I didn't take nearly enough pictures of just the interior. I'll have to go back and do better.

Overgrown kid? Join the club, 'cause I am, too!

Loved your CP pics, especially Brooklyn and tigger...cant wait to read more enjoy your fridge and oh you'll need to go shopping ;) to replace that broken kitchenwear :cool1:

Maybe at Thanksgiving I can use Christmas presents to myself as an excuse to buy a few things.

I have the fridge filled already!

I spent a lot of time looking at some pretty glass things on Main Street this trip. There was so much to want to buy! I satisfied myself by taking pictures of them, so you'll see them later.

Crystal Palace for food and then shopping all day? Heavenly idea!

shopping pictures!!!!! makes me feel like i'm there looking at this stuff myself! :cloud9:

We hadn't been sitting but a minute when this wild animal came out of nowhere. He slowly stalked Brooklynn, creeping along the bench seat on his knees.

Brooklynn decided she should try to kiss Piglet's mouth, and her search for his mouth looked like this.
