A Summer Wedding and a Disney Trip CANCELLED, HELP DECIDE WHEN WE'LL GO IN 2011

Pam, we're driving and we drove last year. It's 17-18 hours for us, so we split it up. On the way down, I think we could have driven straight through b/c we were so excited, but we stopped. It was probably for the best b/c we would have arrived tired if we hadn't stopped. On the way back, we wanted to get home, but we were cranky and tired and it seemed so long. We may try to drive straight through on the way home this time! I wish we could fly, but Dylan is afraid to fly, so drive we shall!

So you have just a little less of a drive than us! I do think we will drive straight through on the way down, no doubt about that. I'm just not sure about the way home. I know we'll want to get home, but at the same time the drive will be so LONG! It will also depend no if Manny is willing to take 1 more day off of work too. We will leave Disney on a monday and if we drive straight thru we'll be home by tuesday late morning. If we stop we'll either get in late tuesday night or wed morning (depending on how long we stop for) and then he wouldn't want to get to work for wed morn. We'll think about that later I guess, as long as we get there, we'll do what we gotta do to get home.

So I just finished my assignment for work. I was up til 2am and still had some to finish up today. It was quite the assignment. It was exhausting but glad I had it, it was very insightful.

WEDDING UPDATE: My friend's at work helped me come up with the design that I want on the cake. Brittany drew me a sketch so I can bring it to the bakery. I am very happy with it. So, cake done!!!!!!
I bought a boxed set of invitations last week and Brittany is going to print them for me. I am so not good at that stuff. I asked her last night "Is there going to be directions when I open that box" She just looked at me and said "bring me the invitations" It was SO funny!
Brittany is one of my brides maids!

Ok, so now that free dining has been announced and everyone knows what they're doing (I think) I figured we could all post our park days to try to figure out a good day to all meet up.

I know i've posted mine already but i'll do it again right here so you don't have to go looking for them. Ooooh!!! This is gonna be so fun!!!!

Ok: Here's where me and Nicole will be: We have some different ADR times, but we have the same park days. So, we can figure out where everyone will be on which days and than from there we can find a time that will work for everyone.

9/23: Hollywood Studios
9/24: Day off, DTD at night!

Ok, Let's see where we can meet up. I know Me and Nicole will see Ann at POR as well in her Disney arm floats!! But, I figured if all of us who are going to be there could meet up once that would be awesome. Maybe go on a ride together too!!!!!

So, it looks like Pam, Nicole and I will be in Epcot together on the 25th! I'm open to doing stuff together on that day as well as using my water wings sometime before you leave, too! What are your breakfast/lunch/dinner plans for your Epcot Day?

Ok, so for that day I have lunch at Akershus at 1:40 and then we planned on touring the WS, but i'd also be open to doing soarin or TT if everyone wanted to meet up and do something like that. After our ADR I plan on being in the park for the rest of the night. My first Epcot day 9/20 should take care of future world for us, but I of course would do things again. Plus it won't take 6 hours to tour the WS!!!!
Dinner will be at a CS, I was thinking Liberty Inn if we're in the WS, but not set in stone, there's also the electric umbrella or sunshine seasons! We're not really brave eaters, so there's not too much i'll try in the world showcase. We did the Yakitori house in Japan last year and it was GROSS!! I mean i'm sure it wasn't but we just didn't like it.

I'M REALLY EXCITED NOW TOO! Can't wait to see what others have going that day!

And don't worry we'll get pool time in too. We'll be around on the 24th whenever you guys get back to the hotel. We'll also take an afternoon pool break on sunday! I'm sure we'll be at the pool saturday morning before epcot too. My kids LOVE the pool and they're gonna be in love with the water slide.

So, it looks like we are both doing WS in Epcot.....I know we will figure something out!!!

My days don't match up with yours at all. We are arriving at the same time as Karen but we don't have the same days planned. ASMu pool would have been perfect but I am so jealous of your stay at POR! I hope some of you are able to make a DIS meet work.

So Ann, we can definitely meet up in Epcot and Karen, you and I will be at MK together plus that's an EMH night, so i'm sure we can meet up at some point that day!
On sunday we have a 10:55am ADR at Ohana's and then we'll go over to the MK for a bit and then back for a pool break. We'll then go back, probably around 5pm and stay until it closes at 11pm!

On Saturday I think we will get to Epcot by 11am. Do a few things that we missed the first epcot day and then go for lunch at Akershus, after that we'll be in world showcase, so that will work out!

Ya never know, with not knowing for sure our mode of transportation, there is a chance we'll be there early? I can hope! You guys are still staying at POR, right? If so, what time are you leaving POR, at 12, or is that when your flight is? If i'm there before that, we can at least meet up for a picture!!!!
I hate to think of that last day, it's such a bummer. I'll feel the same way if I meet up with Karen, it will be our last full day in Disney and it will pretty much be the start of her trip

OH NO, I'M DEFINITELY NOT THINKING ABOUT IT. I ALREADY DREAD IT THOUGH!


I did start picking up some stuff for Disney though, like sunblock, ponchos, toothbrushes, deoderant, hairspray, lotion, powder, travel packs of tide, and stain wipes (I seen those today and knew us slobs had to have them.) I Love shopping for Disney stuff, my trip feels so much closer when i'm shopping for it!!! My sister in law (to be, even though i've always considered her that) was asking me what I wanted for the bridal shower and she asked me if we needed luggage. I said........YES!!!! I do hope I get some new luggage. If I do, i'm going to start packing it up the day after I get it!

My friend Brittany and I will be working on the wording for the wedding invitations tonight! I can't wait to get them out. I'll post of pic of them when they're finished!!

I'm impressed with the travel stuff you've already bought- I did pick up ponchos for the kids but still need to get them for dh and myself. I haven't purchased anything else practical.

That's right! That is Disney deoderant!!! And I love it!!! We're not registering. The invitations say that it is a Disney themed shower for our upcoming Disney trip, so that's giving out a hint.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL OF MY DIS-MOM-FRIENDS!!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

The girls want to cook breakfast for me tomorrow. I think it will end up being more work for me. But Emily is making scramble eggs. We've been working on that lately. (Not without me right there of course) Lizzie is going to make the toast and Samantha is going to butter it. They cannot wait!!!!! They also made me little gifts at school which they cannot wait to give me. They're all so excited for Mother's day. We don't have much planned, just to relax, which is what I want. My Mom has to work until 3pm, so after she gets out, we'll just hang out!

At work tonight we were talking about Disney. Super exciting. Every saturday night at work we order out and have "dessert night" It was my boss's turn to bake and she brought her dessert in on a Mickey platter that she bought at a store in DTD last year. It's amazing. and that's what started our Disney talk. There is another supervisor that goes and another that wants to go, and my boss is a HUGE Disney fan as well, so that was a fun conversation. Doug just went in October and stayed at POR, so we were talking about that too.

Well, 7 more days until my Disney shower. I really can't wait, i'm super excited. My friend Brittany and I are going to go out on thursday. I need to buy a cute little summer dress to wear.
