A Summer Wedding and a Disney Trip CANCELLED, HELP DECIDE WHEN WE'LL GO IN 2011

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL OF MY DIS-MOM-FRIENDS!!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

The girls want to cook breakfast for me tomorrow. I think it will end up being more work for me. But Emily is making scramble eggs. We've been working on that lately. (Not without me right there of course) Lizzie is going to make the toast and Samantha is going to butter it. They cannot wait!!!!! They also made me little gifts at school which they cannot wait to give me. They're all so excited for Mother's day. We don't have much planned, just to relax, which is what I want. My Mom has to work until 3pm, so after she gets out, we'll just hang out!

At work tonight we were talking about Disney. Super exciting. Every saturday night at work we order out and have "dessert night" It was my boss's turn to bake and she brought her dessert in on a Mickey platter that she bought at a store in DTD last year. It's amazing. and that's what started our Disney talk. There is another supervisor that goes and another that wants to go, and my boss is a HUGE Disney fan as well, so that was a fun conversation. Doug just went in October and stayed at POR, so we were talking about that too.

Well, 7 more days until my Disney shower. I really can't wait, i'm super excited. My friend Brittany and I are going to go out on thursday. I need to buy a cute little summer dress to wear.

Awe the girls are going to have so much fun doing that!!!!!

I can't wait to see pictures of your Disney shower!!!!

Happy Mother's Day, Pam!!
Have a great day tomorrow! I hope your breakfast is delicious and they clean up after themselves!!:rotfl:

So, I'm going to be starting my 2009 Disney days in 2 days (We'll start with the "night before Disney", cause that is always a very exciting night. We were in Disney last may from the 12-19th. So 1 year ago at this time....... We were at Makenzie's bday party this night and we were packing up these fun Disney items!!

It's crazy how fast a whole year goes by! It really seems like we were there just a few months ago!!!

So, i'll give a quick recap of what we did each day and put a few pictures up. I'm very excited to do this. I can't wait until there are only 2 days left until our next trip!!!

So, I wanted to get this done the other day ,but better late than never. I figured out the wording on the invitations and Brittany is going to get them done this week!!!

Also I was talking to my brother about their bachelor party plans. I think they're gonna have fun.
I also think they are going to go get fitted for their tuxes this weekend while all of us ladies are at the bridal shower and they have nothing to do. :goodvibes They can't really live without us so they have to figure out how to make that few hours go by :lmao:

Just today I got that overwhelmed feeling about the wedding. I think I still have so much more to do and so little time to do it. :scared:

TO DO LIST:
Finish filling out DJ packet
Buy vases for the centerpieces
Buy the girls' dresses
me and the girls need shoes
The tuxes will be rented this weekend
I need to get the invitations out this week
I need to write out or print on the place cards
Thank you cards
Meet with DJ 1st week of June for full payment and to go over things
Favors
Bring sketch to the bakery for the design
Meet with the pastor in June(He wants to meet with us twice)
Rehearsal is on saturday July 3rd.
I have to tell my SIL that my nephew needs a red tie (ring bearer)
I need to pick up a few things like a pen for the guest book (we have that), ring pillow, flower girls baskets, flower petals...

Oh boy, there is probably things I am forgetting, but rest assured it is all written down in my little notebook.

Disney trips are so less stressful :cloud9:

My SIL called me today and she told me she was so excited, she bought my shower gift. When she told me that, I got really excited for the shower. As if I wasn't already!!

I know what i'm gonna do to relax, i'm going to go through the POR picture thread:woohoo:

Hang in there! Pam
it will all fall into place...you sound like you are on a great time schedule and that your list is well prepared to help you stay on top of things...
How exciting! your shower, wedding and disney!
:wave2: Connie

Thanks Connie,

I guess after making that list I realize that i'm in good shape. I know what I got to do and I have 7 weeks to do it.

I know, it is exciting to have all of this fun stuff to look forward to this year. And I think we can all guess what i'm looking the MOST forward too :rolleyes1

Hey Pam.....you are doing fine!!! Really! I'll have to let you in on the story of shopping for Victoria's maid of honor dress.....ugh!!!! I don't have time right now, but you'll appreciate it! :goodvibes

On this day last year, we were now 2 days until Disney World!!!! The night before Disney is really the only day that sticks out to me, but i'm sure on this day we were still packing and getting very excited!!! I know we were packing up these beauties...... not the girls, the shirts :goodvibes

And I also know I was so excited to check in online the following morning that I was nervous and scared I wasn't going to hear my alarm in time. We had a 6:15am flight :scared1: So I was ready to get up at 5:30am and be ready to check in.
So, visions of this were dancing through my head!

Don't get too stressed about the little things!! They'll all fall into place :goodvibes What kind of dresses are you looking for for the girls? What about shoes for you?? (Fashion details are always the most fun!)
Your shower will be so much fun! Nothing like opening a big pile of gifts!! Will the girls be there with you?

ETA: Just saw the night before Disney pictures!! That night is always almost as fun as the trip itself! I love the anticipation!

Oh, it sounds like fun. Emily is very particular about what she wears so i'm sure when we go shopping for hers, i'll have a story or two as well.

Well, right now we only know that Emily's will be red and Lizzie and Sam's will be white (They are flower girls and Em is a junior bridesmaid.) We'll probably be getting their dresses in a few weeks.
I am very excited about my shower this weekend. It feels like it's still weeks away.
Those pictures are from 2 nights before Disney, tomorrow will be Disney Eve 2009!!!! :goodvibes I'm going to have fun posting some of our favorite pictures from each day!

LIZZIE HAS POISON IVY :scared1:

Over the weekend she had these marks on her face that looked like hives. Then they looked more like rashes, then there were tiny little white bubbles. It wasn't itchy so I would not have thought poison ivy. I called her dr and they said take some benadryl. The two times she took that it did make it look better because it took the swelling away, but by saturday night I knew it wasn't hives. The dr. said it was a mild case and that's why it wasn't itchy. :confused3 I'd hate to see a severe case, because this was a mess. It was beat red swollen, welted, :headache: But she felt fine all weekend! An anitibiotic would have been given, but because it's already drying up, we're good!!! I knew it looked better today, but it's still very much there, I feel better now, knowing what it is.

Oh, by the way, I hope her teacher's at school have it, cause when I picked her up on friday, her face was at it's worse and no body thought that deserved a phone call to me  OOOOOHHHH, I was so mad! They're gonna hear it from me tomorrow when I drop her off. They didn't even wonder what the heck was on her face :confused3 When I got to the school, I was alarmed by what she looked like. I wish I would have taken a picture.

Poor sweetheart! with poison ivy each time you get it it gets worse...just luckily it did not get into her airway and mouth with it on her face...
that really is sad that her teacher did not have her call home! did she even ask Lizzie about it or how she was feeling?!?
my mom is severly allergic and one year for Christmas she had it in her mouth, nose and throat...she had to go to the dr to recieve an inj every morning for the swelling...she eventually recieved an inj (like people with allergies get) and she still gets it but much less severe (but, each time she get it its worse than the time before
Hope she feels better soon!

OH, poor Lizzie! I've never had it, so I don't know how itchy it can be...at least she felt ok, though. Yes, I hate it when the school doesn't call for things. Maybe some parents wouldn't care, but you are I are very involved with our kids and I want to be called for everything!!!

Ya never know, with not knowing for sure our mode of transportation, there is a chance we'll be there early? I can hope! You guys are still staying at POR, right? If so, what time are you leaving POR, at 12, or is that when your flight is? If i'm there before that, we can at least meet up for a picture!!!!
I hate to think of that last day, it's such a bummer. I'll feel the same way if I meet up with Karen, it will be our last full day in Disney and it will pretty much be the start of her trip :headache:

We are staying at CSR now! We will just have to wait and see how things line up as we get closer to our trips. They will be here soon!!

I have started to pick up things here and there too. I really like that it helps to spread things out. Of course, I need to make a master shopping list so I can keep track of what I have gotten versus what we still need.

I feel horrible I missed saying Happy Mother's Day to all my DIS friends but I did not end up getting online at all yesterday. Just too busy! :rotfl: I hope you had a great day! I think it is sweet your girls are excited about Mother's Day. :goodvibes:

I am so excited for you for your wedding!! I know it is overwhelming (I remember being there) but it will all fall into place! Hang in there, Pam.

My DD had those flip flops!! :) The girls look so young!

Poor thing! I hope Lizzie is feeling better and the rash is gone.

Your Disney shower sounds like so much fun! What a fun way to bring some magic to your waiting.

I agree with everyone else that all the wedding stuff will get finished! It seems like you are on top of things so I'm sure it will all work out. :thumbsup2

I love that you are incorporating a mini TR into your PTR! What a great way to commemorate your last trip and think about what you're looking forward to most in your upcoming trip! So clever! :wizard:

Poor Lizzie! I bet she's just miserable. :sad2: I would definately let the school know that you want to know about things like this! I used to teach (before I started homeschooling) and I know there are some teachers who just don't get it. There are also, believe it or not, some parents who just don't want to hear it. I had a dad tell me once that he doesn't call me on the weekend to tell me about his kid and he doesn't expect me to call him during the school day! :scared1: I politely told him that while I am a teacher Monday through Friday from 7 to 4 he is a dad ALL THE TIME. So sad that parents have to be reminded of that. Anyway, I'm certainly not defending them not calling but putting it into perspective. Let them know that you are a parent who wants to know! (Although this late in the school year you'd think the teacher would have figured this out. :confused3 ) At any rate I hope she feels better soon!
