Our recent trip to Walt Disney World was for 12 days in November. On the last day we got up and packed all our "stuff", it had been a wonderful vacation - the Dolphin is a very Kool Resort.
We packed all out belongings in the rented car and headed for MK, our plane did not leave until 7:00 PM so we had a full day ahead of us.
We arrived at the park, security checked all our packs and we were off to have fun. The first thing we did was get on the train and take a ride around the park. Then we were off to Splash Mountain.
After Splash we headed over to see the Country Bear Jamboree Christmas show. On the way I stopped to get a soda, OMGosh, My wallet is not in my fanny pack! Panic sets in, but I'm determined to not let this spoil an otherwise wonderful vacation.
So I head back to splash and stand there for 20 - 30 minutes as each log goes by and they check the floor of the second seat. No luck!
DW and I agree that we should follow our plan for the day and head over to Big Thunder for a ride. Now I must admit that there was still about $700. in cash in the wallet, 4 CC, Drivers Lic., Etc.. You get the idea of what is going through my mind as I try to not ruin anyones day.
As we are getting on Big Thunder I realize that I have "no picture ID" to get on the plane. Now the panic really sets in inside me. With the new security at airports I'm not going home with the family today, am I?
Well after Big Thunder we head back to the RR station and ask the CM if anyone turned in a wallet - no luck...
So we ride back to the front of the park and head for city hall. I tell the CM I'm looking for a wallet. He asks did you loss it today. I respond YUP!. He asks me to describe it. I do. He says - bet it has your picture in it! I say, You are making ma a happy man right now! He goes in back and returns with my wallet - all intact - money - everything.
Turns out when I had security check my fanny pack, I did not zip the pouch before slinging it around my waist and buckleing it. The wallet fell out right there outside the entrance and some wonderful stranger picked it up and turned it in.
Thank You! Whoever you are.......
