A Sizzling Hot Summer in WDW TR June/July 2025

We get a message saying our room is open. So we leave. On the way out. We get some popcorn and I get the famous mini donuts!



These donuts are freshly made and are hot!
Soo yummy and u cab only get them in the water parks. Do not come here without getting them!

We also see stitch is here to meet.

And we say goodbye to Typhoon lagoon. The sand makes it so my mom does not want to come back... my son hates the sand to but says we just need a cabana cause he loooves the wave pool. I really do love the wave pool too.

We head back to OKW.

Here is our room; another near the hospitality room. We are on the 2nd floor.

Wow!!! These rooms are huge!!!!


Look even more kitchen space... a like mini bar area.

Look how big the deck is!! It is a whole new room!


This lamp is soo cute!!


Full washer and dryer! Not even stacked!

A great big bathrooms.



And a big bedroom.



Overall review of this. We looved the space in these rooms. The best space and storage. Bed was comfortable. AC was amazing!! It did not turn off if u stopped moving. We looved it. We did not have any one above us either and loved the location. Cons: 2nd floor and no pull down bed. We bought an air mattress for our son, which fit since it was soo big.

Ohh also.... there was a thunder storm near by and we found out they cannot deliver our suitcases untill it has passed. Something we have never thought about at Akl.
Next we went shopping for groceries we went to Costco which filled out most of our needs. We will be eating a lot in our kitchen to help save money. We ate dinner with one of their delicious tacos.

Day 3
We woke up and turned on the local news and they were showing a rocket launch happening live. So cool the local news shows launches.
Then I remember u can see shuttles from wdw from a utuber. We go out on the balcony and look... and my son spots it!! We freak out of course! What a cool way to start the morning seeing a real rocket launch!





We are soo happy! Next we head out to the bus stop to go to HS.

Our stop is last at the resort at the hospitality so we were a little worried about seating but we found seats.

The bus ride is really short to HS and we head to the line to get into HS.
We decide to go to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers first. It is nice since the rush splits off at Rise. My son looves star wars and loved this ride.

Enjoying your TR! I know there are some cons to OKW but that room would make up for it. Nice to have extra space on a longer stay. My grandkids would love TL even with the sand

We get on really quickly. It is a walk on.


I am a driver. My son lives being gunner... he likes shooting things.

We had a blast!


Then I realize I forgot my fan... so need to go back and get it. CM are great and found it and got it for me... I am very forgetful.

Next we head to the back way to toy story area and do alien ride.

The space is soo amazing esp for this longer stay, soo agree.

I know soo many kids love sand... we do Aulani alot, that is our beach spot. But there is a difference between spending a little time on the beach then going back to your seat not in the sand and always being in sand... and my mom and son not a fans.. lol. Also my son has sensory issues too makes understandable too.

Summer in disney is starting to be less crowded becuase it is just soo hot ! Also we are were still useing early morning resort time... so not all the guest could come in and all the rope droppers hit rise and Slinky dog... soo hitting the little less popular rides is a good way to miss the crowds.

Back to star wars area, the back area is such an easy path back and forth.

My son wants to check out the droids.
And bubbles!! Man do kids love bubbles.








Nice part it is in the shade and not crowded soo my son can decompress a little.

We head off to Rise of the Resistance ride and we see Mando!!


There is no line for him but u wait in a circle for him to pick you. It takes a bit but after a bit Mando picks my son. Mando loved my sons shirt and they chatted. My son was soo happy.





They need more characters out, love this.
Next we head to Rise. We use my sons das for this.


He is soo happy!

We get on to then ride!

It is amazing as always! Soo real!



Also our first time everything worked on the ride!
We also moblie order our fav food! The breakfast ronto wrap! We love the breakfast better than the lunch and always get it right before it switches over.

Brunch!

Next picture time. I go wait in line for the photopass photographer. Not to many people in the line. My son and mom chill in the shade and sit while I am in line.

Next we move to the OG star wars ride. Star tours. We all loved this ride esp since it is new every time.



We got boba fett! Very cool.

Next my son needed some decompression time and my mom just needed to cool off.
So we decided to check out the new kids area in HS in the animation courtyard. We we went into the dance room and man was it hopping. My son had soo much dancing.

My mom was just happy for a cool spot to sit... she says she is dying! Lol.
They have characters dancing with the kids so my son got a big hug from Pluto!

There was even a conga line! Soo much fun!



This was just the break we needed.
We decided to check out the new little mermaid show in the courtyard.

This show is super cute! And Ariel has an amazing voice!!! Love them adding more shows back. This space was empty for too long.
Next snack/lunch time. We grab a table in the shade in the court yard and eat the packed food we have. My mom is hovering near a fan. Lol.

Then my son sees a fan that you can color and he goes and joins the art table.



I really love all these added activities for kids. This really helps my son stay happy.

We chill and relax here in the shade while he colors. Man is the wall a good Instagram wall.

Here is his finish product.

Last ride for today will be Mickeys Run away railroad. My son says he is done and just wants to do this and go back to the room. As he has gotten older he has gotten better about telling me when he is done so less meltdowns.
We das this ride since it was a longer wait while he was coloring.


I love the intro for this ride.



And the families fav part Conga! We always dance in this part of the ride.

My son saw a person with a clone wars popcorn bucket. Clone wars is one of his favorite cause of the cartoon shows. Soo guess what we are getting? Another popcorn bucket... well the only person I can blame is myself... lol.



We wait for the bus and not to long we are on it.
We are really hot! HS gets soo hot in the middle of the day... that bus walk is like walking through the middle of a desert with no shade.


On the bus we decide to do an experiment. I get off the first stop and walk to our room and my son and mom stay on bus and wait for it to drop them off at our stop. Seeing which is quicker.
I walk off and decided while I am passing quick service let's get this yummy key lime pie ice cream treat. It is sooo good!!!

I got my son a little treat too!

I get there before my son and mom... like quite a bit. Soo now we know... get off on the first stop.
We chill and cool down for a bit in the room.
Then we decide to go to the disney outlets and need to pick up a couple of things from the grocery store that we could not get at Costco.

Disney outlets store is cool. Love getting things at a discount. I got this cool dress.
My son picked out a new star wars toy.



Got some shirts and hats and other little fun things.
My son got the star wars loungefly bag.


My mom got some disney crocs.
Girl math says we saved soo much money here! Ohh and we used our rewards disney gift cards here too that we get from using the disney chase credit card. Cut the bill in half! Yes!

Also while we were at the outlets I checked out the NB store. I do a lot of rundisney and I am always going through my runnjng shoes. So went to go see if NB had my shoe... in Colorado they are always sell out. But they had them here!! Only basic white but whatever! Saved a ton of money being able to get running shoes at the outlets!

We ate dinner in our room. We made tacos from Costco and my son ate his chicken burgers he loves and then played with his new toy.

I decide on a little dessert after dinner while my mom just made a drink for herself.
I got this cute pride honey cake from the quick service. I love how easy it is to walk over from our room.


It was super light and yummy.
And look at how cute it was .

Then we chilled in the room. I decide to spend some time at HS. While mom and my son stay at the room.

Then went on to star tours since there is little to mo wait.


Next I head to The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. It is such a long wait... I wait a long time in the single rider line... it is soo long. But finnally make it in!

I do love this ride.

Good news I make it to the Tower of terror before the park closes. So the line moves so much quicker once the lightening lanes closed.




Soo happy I got to ride two rides at least that my son will not run. I was hoping lines would be shorter but the lines stayed long in the evening at HS.

Day 4:
AK!
We decide to drive today to the park.
My son is wearing his cute new star wars hat from the star wars cartoon show.



We wait for the rope drop.
We move like a herd all to Pandora... I may have moo a few times.






This area is so pretty! We do the ride. Soo much fun. My son loves it.

I like pride wall here soo cute.


Next we do the safari. We das this one. We love this ride.

My son takes my phone and has fun taking pics of all the animals. My son loves animals.

Next we head to Everest.



Last time he road this last year he was scared... this time he said at the end he loved it! yeah!

Next we slowly go over to the Dinosour ride. My son loves looking at all the animals.

My son will soo miss the Dinosour ride.






We will miss it.



We then move to the Dinosour badge area. My son loves all things Dinosours.

Next time for my son to go play at his fav and I mean his fav playground of all time the Boneyard. I wish they would keep this... they can easily fit into a dig sit with Indian Jones theme.








My son digs and run around and goes down the slides and does all the things there. There is quite a few places for adults to sit in the shade while the kids play. And only one entrance/exit so don't have to worry about them as much here. This is such a great play yard and my son spent soo much time.
