Well, that was a quick July and now we’re on the downward slope of summer. I hope you all had a fun July. Now that July has come and gone, it’s time to look forward to August, and you know what that means….. time to wish our DIS friends with an August birthday a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. August is a HUGE month for birthdays in my family. I'm on the 6th and share a birthday with Lucille Ball. My grandmother was on the 4th and in her memory every year on the 5th I go to Friendly's and get a Jim Dandy Banana Split. We started the tradition when my kids were little and I kept it going after she passed away. I miss her.

My husbands cousin was the 2nd.
I had an aunt on the 8th
My MIL was the 9th
My youngest brother is on the 10th.
The 15th my granddaughter turns 21 and my cousin also shares that birthday with her.
My niece is the 20th
My SIL is on the 23rd
My oldest grandson is on the 24th
My BIL was the 28th
And my oldest brother is on the 31st

My mom had 3 of us in August.

When I was young we had three August birthdays to celebrate. Two in my immediate family, and the other a close relative who lived five minutes away.

Today two of the three are still around and their birthdays celebrated, and according to Meatloaf, “two out of three ain’t bad”!
