That's great!! How fun and exciting!!

I have a feeling that this is going to be a looooooooooooong morning!!! :laundy: Noon seems like such a long ways away.

I was sooo close to taking it home last night, but the insurance company didn't send their information before they closed. I was sitting in it and everything! Oh well, soon enough!

I bet you are excited about Las Vegas!! I am looking forward to it too! I will be depressed about having to leave Disneyland, but stopping in Las Vegas for a couple days should help cheer me up!

I know, I hate waiting.

I just realized that I am going to Vegas before you. I think that ought to be interesting.

I will be interested in hearing about it before we go. You should try and take a picture of the Planet Hollywood for me if you can, lol.

Now that we have choices again on hotels, I am really tempted to book at a Disney hotel, but they are so expensive. Is it really $1500 for 6 nights at the Paradise Pier??? Their 40% off deal ends on Sept 29th. Our first day is Oct. 1st. They couldn't have extended that one more week?? Do you think they will have deals for October coming up soon? I hope so. Booking at the HOJO will be ok too, it's just hard to pass up the chance to stay at a Disney hotel.

I'll do what I can. :thumbsup2

The deals won't be up for a while. You can always call and ask them if you can get any deals that are announced later on any reservations you make now. It never hurts to ask.

Well I booked the HOJO!!! We decided the Disney hotels were probably just going to be too much. I got the DISboards discount and am currently trying to bid on an Entertainment card, so hopefully our dates get added to the list!!! Yay!!!:banana::banana:

Good idea. Better to have the bird in hand than wait for another one and take a chance on not getting the next one.

I am in love with my new car! I picked up a friend (who is getting the exact same car, even colour, in a few days) and we drove it all night last night. It had 25 kms on it when I picked it up, now it has 160.

The two of us, and another friend who was just tagging along, decided to take a few cars for test drives on Saturday. We both liked the Lancer already, but when we both drove it that day, we were set on it. Neither of us would budge on the colour either. It is such a nice blue.

I totally didn't think I would get approved, so I tried having a "who cares what they come back with" state of mind. And it must have worked, cause when they called to tell me I got approved, my stomach started doing flips and didn't stop all the rest of that day.

I was the first one to find out that I was approved, so I got the first pick of the car. I picked the only blue one they had on the lot that was in the model I got approved for. But they never told me it was the last one until after I signed the papers. Now my friend has to wait for them to find another one at a different dealership. Sorry friend! She could have gone for any other colour, but she was set on that blue. I probably would have been the same if I was the one that got second pick.

It's just so weird that we are going to have the same car in the same colour. I'll just have to make sure to park away from her when we go places! :rotfl:

I am really happy with my choice and really happy I was able to get approved for it on my own. I feel so grown up now! Lol.

I thought I would post some pictures of my new Lancer while it's still brand new and clean.

I am in LOVE

Ugh, this Trick or Treat party thing is kind of frustrating me. By the sounds of it, it's going to be on at least 2 of our nights. And both of those nights are nights the park is open later, which is what I wanted to take advantage of.

So now I am considering buy tickets to one of the nights just so we can get park time. Does anyone know how much tickets are? And do you have to dress up? I don't really like dressing up, nor do I want to lug a costume down from Canada.

Ok, Grace asked one of the worst questions in the world of Disney the other day:

"What is there to do in Disneyland that requires us to stay there for 6 Days?" :scared1:

Um, what don't you do? Um you ride rides, eat, shop, visit characters, watch fireworks, parades, shows, people. Theres LOTS to do, and it takes a lot longer to do those things than some people might expect. I think she is in for quite a surprise if she needs to ask that question! She likes Disney stuff, so I have a feeling it will be a good surprise!

I am guessing that it will be going on most of your trip. It used to be in DCA but this year I hear it is going to be in Disneyland. I would be tempted to buy tickets too if that was the only way I could be in the park.

Oh boy I hope she enjoys herself if she is asking that already.

So it looks like we might do a little rearranging again!

I was told that lastminutetravel is a good place to find Disney tickets, and it turns out it saves us quite a bit! The only thing is, they only have up to 5 day passes, and we have originally planned for 6.

So we were thinking of taking that extra $120 it saves us, and taking a day out to Six Flags, or Hollywood for a day, or San Diego Zoo would be cool too. Gotta check the prices on that!

So as long as we get to the Disney area early enough to spend a full 5 days in the parks, I will be happy fitting something else in there too!

Ooh this is getting exciting!! :yay:

Ok, so this is what the new plan will be, if everyone else is ok with it of course!

Leave Red Deer early afternoon on Wednesday Sept 29th. I am hoping my boss will let me go a couple hours early, so we can get a head start.

Head to Calgary, have a quick dinner at my mom's. Load G&G's things into the car and head out. Not sure if we will be stopping or not, but we will try and make it to Howard Johnson for Thursday evening. I will have to adjust my dates that I have reserved there by a day. Hope to have a good nights sleep that night

Friday to Tuesday we will spend in the parks. I am thinking about purchasing TOTP tickets in order to get more DL park time, as we hear it might take up a couple of our nights.

Wednesday we will check out early and start heading up to Six Flags. We will probably check into the Holiday Inn right across from the park, then go into the park for the day.

Thrusday we will check out by 10. Head down to Hollywood, where we will have lunch at the Disney Soda Fountain and look for Michael Jackson's star (it's on the same block!!!) on the Walk of Fame, before we head to Las Vegas.

The rest of Thursday, and Friday and most of Saturday we will spend in LV. We will leave Saturday evening and drive as far as we can until we get tired. Check in to a motel for the night, and head the rest of the way home on Sunday.

I am liking this idea, cause my brother and I have dreamed of going to Six Flags since we were old enough to ride roller coasters. We love them, and always wished to go on some of those really big ones. Grace and Dillon like rides too, so it should be a great time for everyone. Plus we get to see just a little more of California than just Disneyland (even though I would be just fine with only seeing DL).

So, as long as this is ok with everyone. This is the plan. Hopefully it will stay!
