A Simple Guide to Making an Autograph Book

Thanks MusicMouse! I'm trying to plan for our upcoming trip as well. We have autographs from the main group of 70-80, but now it's a matter of just getting the less-common characters.

Mickey is still appearing it the Town Square Theater, which has a Magician theme, but he is appearing in his regular outfit. Here are the characters that are not on the list, but who I am including in my own personal book for my upcoming trip:

Annie/Leo/June/Quincy
Mad Hatter
Prince Eric
Prince Naveen
Seven Dwarves (all on one card)
Geppetto
Wendy
Mushu
Bert
Mr. Smee
Captain Hook
Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum

Keep in mind that I am using 8x8 pages, so some of these characters are paired with characters that are already on the list. I also did not include cards for the Fab 6 in their Safari gear for the AK, but you could if you wanted to.

If are able to get in on the YES program this will be the 5th time we've done the 2nd part.
Otherwise it will be another relaxing waterpark only trip

Music Mouse - I love your cards and covers. Would it be possible to get three of the four parks covers for my kids? You already have Alex in blue, so could I please get a Nick in red, Madeline in purple, and Sabrina in pink? It would take me days to photoshop a cover and it wouldn't be half as nice as yours'. We are going to Disney 1st 2 weeks of March… I want to do a autograph page with Tinkerbell and any of the other fairies that might be “floating around” lol

What do you think the main ones will be – Terrence, Rosetta, Fawn, Iridessa, Silvermist or Vidia??? I know the Flower and Garden show starts like the 7th will that make a difference as to who we might see?

Yes, it will. The Flower and Garden show significantly raises your chances of seeing the two rarest fairies - Iradessa and Silvermist. At any other time of the year you could easily leave them out.

So I just did 2 autograph books for my kiddos and am so excited to share .... feel free to check it out here - share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0AZuWTJw4btWT3w This one is for my daughter and then I did one for my son pretty much the same just changed the covers and I did tweak a few of the inside pages so they weren't quite as girly on the princess pages for him!

I truly want to thank so many DISigns for all the hard work they put and share with us to make our projects so amazing! I used autograph cards and 8x8 layouts and covers from MusicMouse (of course ), Otterpop, Chaoscent, Tina, k fawver, Ohana90, Joephila, elizablake and I am sure someone I forgot if so sorry but THANK YOU!! You all have an amazing talent

I am working on character meals autograph book and will share that when done. I am so excited to show these to my kids but will have to wait as will be part of there "Grand homemade Welcome"!!

I love the photo books you made! I have been trying to do the same thing, but when i import the images to the pages it gives me a resolution problem and the images are bigger than the actual page. Did you have either of these problems? If so, how did you correct it?

I have an idea for an autograph book, but I'm not sure what's the best way to go about assembling it. I haven't been able to read through all 100 pages of this thread, so I'm very sorry if this idea has already been discussed.

My plan is to collect Golden Books for as many of the characters as I can find (I'll be trolling the used book stores around here as well as Amazon). Then I'd like to remove the pages from the Golden Books and create one autograph book that has pages from each Golden Book. On the facing page (the Golden Book page would be on the right), I'd have scrapbook paper for photos. Some characters could double up on a page, but my goal would be for most characters to have a page from 'their' book to sign on.

So, my questions are.. should I glue the scrapbook paper to the back of the Golden book pages? Are the pages likely to peel away at the edges if I do that, though? I'm concerned about it being too flimsy, and I'm also concerned about Sharpie bleeding through.

Also.. what's the best way to do a cover for such a book, and what's the best way to bind it?
