Hey Everyone!

Sorry our thread has sucked as of late. It is all my fault I have been dealing with my dog being sick for the last two week nows and i looks like it might not get any better and she might have to go see a different vet in another town in a week if she isn't better by sunday, plus i was working a a big project for a class that met last week on top of the part tiem job I started last week, its been crazy. Then the cherry on top was I have had a cold these last few days Right I know a cold in April, I'm sure I picked it up at work since it is a retail job. Anywho that is my story and I'm stickin' to it! Hopefully Jen and I might be able do do another post this week, but I am not guaranteeing anything for the heavens could open and up and I get struck by lighting

Okay guys... I know we're slacking, but I wanted to let you all know (and to the DIS for spreading Fantasyland expansion information) that we are NOT finalizing our scavenger hunt until probably July. After the thread came up about Goofy's bench (the one in front of Expo Hall/Tony's) has been moved, we are currently on strike. In the last couple weeks, at least 3 of our respective tasks have been destroyed, and we are afraid that if we add something new, it will go away too.

HOPEFULLY they are fixing Goofy's bench and it will return to it's normal spot (or somewhere else in the Teardrop since Expo Hall is about to be overrun) after some much needed maintenence (last rumor was that Goofy was no longer talking, and come to think of it, he didn't talk to me either!).

I checked last Monday when I was there...we were waiting for our fast pass time to come up.
my trip..well...hmm...how to saynot good

my aunt didn't want to do anything really except lay by the pool and "relax" in the room. She went to a park 3 days out of the trip and each day was for between 2- 3 1/2 hours. (complaining the whole time...saying Walt Disney was a crook, the only reasons disney has the line system that they do is to make you walk more so it will make people hungrier so they sell more food) I ended up going to the parks by myself 2 days and eating alot of meals by myself too. My magic was ruined..but there will always be another trip

Oh no! I'm sorry your aunt was such a killjoy! I couldn't imagine spending all my time near the pool (but that's because I live so far away that I feel the need to maximize my time)!

Just start thinking about your next getaway... maybe go solo this time?

It was a buzz kill....
Next trip will likely be with hubby and we'll meet up with my sister her dh, and 3 kids. Been to the world 3 times with them and always have fun.

Goofy, I am sooooo sorry to hear your trip was a buzz kill. I think that means you have to go back that mush sooner, just to fix the damage. To bad about the wooden leg named smith, LAME!

As per my up date, sorry to update, my dog was getting better, but had a set back today. She will be going to see the next vet this monday. Life sucks

so anywho I now do not know when I can help create an update, it might not be for at least another week. I now have a 8-10 page paper due, on top of dog issues and work. I am starting to regret getting this part time job. I could be staying home with my baby instead of taking her to the vet, where she doesn't get relaxation time like she does at home. I pick her up at 8:30 tonight, I hoep she is feeling better

Just wanted to check in and let you all know that E is still busy taking care of little nutter so we are delayed a bit more.

Since I posted last I've been taken on as a freelance photographer for the local paper covering youth baseball! Yea extra money!

We are eagerly awaiting the release of MNSSHP tickets (tomorrow) so we can get our schedule squared away! actually on hold with Disney as I'm typing!

UPDATE:

So nutter will be heading down to Loveland, CO on the 11th to see a specialist. He wasn't ablt to make a prognosis if he can fix her or not without seeing the area himself . So I'll be in CO the 11th -14th (maybe 16th) I finish up my papers and such for school this weekend, plus hopefully monday we will have great news and then yes, and then, we shll have an update for you by teh end of the week. Lets here everyone scream "YEAH FOR PEANUT, YEAH FOR UPDATE< YEAH FOR THE POTENTIAL OF FD!"

I know we've been slacking lately, but I promise, we've been super busy.

I'm in the home stretch at work (my student is a senior and there is LOTS to do in the next 2 weeks) and I have been rehabbing my foot after heel spur removal surgery (from December). My foot was not healing the way it was supposed to so they sent me to physical therapy 3 days a week! That ended a week ago Monday and it has freed up a lot of time.

E has been feverishly finishing up school and still taking care of her baby, Peanut. Add all that to work and you've got two chicas with very little time these days.

But fear not, we're too stubborn to abandon our post here!

We both got in on free dining for our trip, so now we will ALL be at the same hotel, one of our main goals from the get-go. I received my MNSSHP tickets in the mail on Thursday (not sure if E has her's yet).

I was so excited, yet really bummed they looked like standard issue hard plastic cards. I was hoping they'd at least be designed for Halloween... oh well! We're still going! I have our costumes fairly set for the party... but I won't reveal them quite yet... we have WAY too much to discuss before we can talk about that!

My 3 year old DS is helping me plan our trip on a daily basis. He keeps asking/making sure we are going to ride certain rides. (especially the ones he missed on his trip with DGrands last September - who says kids this age don't remember a trip?!?!?) We are feverishly watching movies in preparation for new attractions - it's been a lot of fun!

So, please stay tuned... we'll have some more in the near future (that is if E doesn't ring my neck for wanting to change 1 1/2 days of our trip )

I just started and read your entire trip report in one sitting. The scavenger hunt sounds like a lot of fun. My family will definitely have to try it on a future trip, but I think we might have too much to do for our trip in December, especially with the crowds.

I hope y'all are doing okay. I noticed you haven't posted in awhile. Hope you're just a little busy.

So, a couple of crazy coincidences. My wife and I are living in Rapid City too! Also, we're expecting our first child in the next few weeks and we decided to name her Lucy.

Yeah, we've been swamped. I work in education with a senior and a junior and the end is well... TOMORROW!!! It's been nothing but pure craziness the past month. E started working and her puppy got sick, add all that to school and you have where we are!

Hopefully after this lovely holiday weekend (and some MUCH needed R&R) we'll be back up and running!

HI, Just want to say that I was intrigued by your scavenger hunt. I saw that you had posted about it on another thread. I hope you don't mind that I came over to this link to check it out and read about your pre trip report.
We will be going in August with a 12, 11, 10, 9 and 8 year old so I think we might copy the scavenger hunt idea, but of course, make it a bit easier for them (and us)
Can i please ask where Mr. Toad is in the Haunted Mansion? I see that as one of your scavenger hunt items.

It's no problem at all! You are more than welcome. We've hit a bit of a stall, but hopefully will be back up and running very soon!

Our scavenger hunt was pretty much set, then all the closures came down, so it's going to be a work in progress for the next few months!!!

Our biggest thing with the hunt is that it will ensure that we have some really fun/really pictures from our trip, that's why we have the rule that one of us has to be in the shot!

As for Mr. Toad, there is a statue of him in the pet cemetary at the exit.

We are pretty much like that in person too. It's the main reason why we paired up in the beginning. E and I both told each other a VERY long time ago that we didn't get along with girls... now we're BFFs!
