A quick GF balcony question

I read somewhere that not all GV rooms have balconies. I also read that those which do have balconies are 'not private' balconies. Are they shared between two rooms?or just open down the line to all the rooms? I know that the dormer rooms are private balconies.

The balconies at the GF are all private. Sure, the balcony spans the entire length of the resort; however, there are "privacy" dividers between each room's balcony, thus no one can be on your balcony unless they play Spiderman and crawl up and over to it (unless, of course, you're on the first floor -- then they can just hop over your railing, but that is true of every hotel/resort with a first floor balcony). If you look closely at those photos, wherever you see a supporting "post" on the balcony, that is where a "privacy" divider is located.

I don't have any photos posted of the GF's privacy dividers, however, I do have a photo of an AKL privacy divider: click here to view it (the "privacy" divider is in the background of that photo). I should note that this particular photo was taken on my suite's balcony, and in the case of a suite at the AKL, the main balcony spans the length of the parlor room and the master bedroom. This is not true, however, of the GF's suites. I have stayed in two different two-bedroom suites at the GF, and even though my suite had four balconies, every single one of them had privacy dividers. I was disappointed in that because the balconies were too small to contain my entire party -- it would have been wonderful if the main balcony spanned the parlor room and the master bedroom, like it does at the AKL.

I hope I haven't confused you! But have no fear, at the GF, your balcony will be "private."
