~ A PTR for a CAMPING Trip That Might Never Be ~ *TR Started (link inside)*

That's a great picture!

Good luck finding a sweet kitten. Soon there will be tons to choose from!

Good call getting a girl kitty...

And just for fun...did you know that female cats(of course:laughing: ) can have up to 300 babies in their lifetime?!?

Before I get on to the next PTR topic, I have a few things to post about. I'll call them, "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly."

The Good

* I ended up with a 99 on my Criminal Procedures class, which means I maintained a 4.0 throughout my Associates Degree. :cool1:

* I've lost 10 pounds. :banana:

The Bad

* Josie is still missing. :(

The Ugly

* Tomorrow Connor goes in for his anorectal monometry procedure. Hopefully we'll have some answers after this appointment.

* I start my first class for my Bachelors tomorrow as well - Intro to Human Services - and since my classes are only five weeks long, you can bet they're going to be a crazy five weeks of work! :scared1: It may affect my posting.

Nah - we know my DIS addiction will win out for sure. :thumbsup2

~ Turkey Dinner ~

If we end up going to Disney during the time frame that I want, we'll be there for Thanksgiving. So, that gets me to thinking about which restaurant would be the best one for Turkey Dinner.

My first thought is Liberty Tree Tavern because it really is a Turkey Dinner. And I've heard good things about it. But, I think it may be difficult to get an ADR there for that day.

After doing a search on this topic, it appears that most restaurants at Disney World put on a special Thanksgiving spread for the day. So, that basically means we could go anywhere.

This is where I need your help. What other places can you think of? Where would YOU eat if you were at Disney World for Thanksgiving?

Great pic!:thumbsup2
Congratulations on the 4.0 average!! Feels good, doesn't it?:goodvibes
So sorry about Josie.:sad1:
I hope you find answers for Connor. You guys are in our prayers.
I'm sure you will do great on your next 5 weeks, even if it's super busy for you.;)
Even if you don't have time to DIS, we will always be here when you can.:flower3:
Hmmm, Turkey Dinner......I'll have to think about that one. But it sure does make it easier if they all do some sort of holiday dinner.

Thanks Cherie

I knew you would come up w/ something:thumbsup2

Congrats on the 10lbs...that's exactly what I want to lose...I should be working out right now...

Congrats on the 4.0.....

Sorry about Josie......:sad2: (Everytime I hear that name I think of this cartoon from the early 70's, Josie and the Pussycats)

Hope Connor's medical issues get resolved soon....

If I could go anywhere for Turkey Dinner at WDW, it would be somewhere that reminded me of Colonial America or something w/ great theming. So it would be Liberty Tree for sure. The theming would just add to the experience.

Perhaps if Wilderness Lodge's Artist Point was doing something I would consider that.

Congrats on the: lbs, 4.0

Sorry about Josie :sad1:

Hope Connor's okay.

After researching a little, I'd go to Liberty Tree.

Eh - not as creative as I'd like, but I'll work on that for the next one :thumbsup2

I think that will probably end up being my goal. You make a good point Jordan. The food is important, but the theming would make it extra special.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while.:guilty:
Things have been a little hetic around here.

So sorry about Josie.:sad1:
Our dog ran away lots. (She's scared silly of thunder storms.) So I know what it's like.

As for the turkey dinner... mabey Trails End or Wispering Canyon Cafe?

congrats on the grade and loosing 10!

I hope Josie comes home soon!

Congrats on losing 10 pounds and maintaining a 4.0:cool1:

So sad about Josie:sad1:

I hope everything goes well with Connor, and there is no problems.

As for Thanksgiving...I would eat at Boma:lovestruc

I don't like Liberty Tree:sick:

I'm sure they will have a lot of nice options for Thanksgiving dinner. For example, they have a wonderful brunch at Epcot in the World Showcase somewhere, in a pavillion I think.. It sounds so good:)

I'm sorry but could you explain "anorectal monometry procedure" as I haven't a clue what that is. I hope he'll be OK.

Artist Point was what I was thinking. WL would just "feel" right for Thanksgiving. Or maybe Flying Fish at the boardwalk.

Another idea to add to the list :thumbsup2

My first TR has more info on what we've been going through with Connor, which is why I didn't explain in my original post. But, for a quick summary, he's suffered from constipation since birth and since last October we've been seeing a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to try and find some answers. They've already done some procedures. I actually don't know exactly what's going to happen tomorrow, but this procedure is suppose to be similar to a rectal biopsy, just less invasive. This test should tell us for sure whether or not he has Hirshsprung's Disease (which is what they've suspected from the start).

I love WL. My list is growing longer! :)

Oh, I meant to tell you, you must go to Trail's End and eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is so good and the atmosphere is 100% FW and wonderful:goodvibes

Not for Thanksgiving probably, but just during your visit.

Definitely plan on eating there at some point, which is why I probably wouldn't do Thanksgiving there.

Great pic! :thumbsup2 Hope you had fun the other night!

Now, I will have to go find this amazon wish list...

Congrats on your grade! Hope the next class doesn't interfere with your DISing -- we would miss you. :goodvibes

Hurray on your ten pounds! That's awesome! :cheer2:

I'm sorry that Josie hasn't come back yet. :sad1:

I hope everything goes well at Connor's doctor! I'll be thinking about y'all!

Okay, I have no experience with where you should eat Thanksgiving dinner, but did want to say that I think that is sooo neat that you will be at WDW for it! We've never been at Thanksgiving, but if we were to go, I think I would lean towards Liberty Tree Tavern. The atmosphere would be perfect. Or I would choose Boma because we love it, and that would be really unique, too!

I agree that Boma would be a unique choice and I could see it working for Thanksgiving. We've only done breakfast there so it would be neat to have dinner.

Those Zebra Domes are amazing!:worship:
You should try it for dinner sometime.
It's great!:thumbsup2

Happy Easter all!:butterfly

Let's see (haven't been in the office much lately - lots to catch up on, quickly!)

I hope Josie finds you - or has found another nice family.

I hope you find answers for Connor.

Thanksgiving - what about Garden Grill at Epcot? The dinner we had felt very Thanksgiving-y to us.

Tho doing Boma sounds like a fun sort of rebellious anti-Thanksgiving meal!

(I won't be on much in the next couple days since we are moving our office.)

I found something interesting while looking at what allears had to say about Thanksgiving dining options -- under dinner shows it had "Thanksgiving at the Fort" listed. I wonder if the Hoop-de-do changes its show for Thanksgiving? That would be fun and different!

Hey, just checking in. Congratulations on the 4.0 and the weight loss!! Both are awesome accomplishments!

I am so sorry that Josie hasn't come home. =(

I hope they find an answer for your son.

As for Thanksgiving dinner...I am not sure. I like the idea of the Whispering Canyon Cafe...I just love being in that resort though. So homey feeling. I also think 50s Prime Time could be fun. They already pretend to be your family so I bet they go all out on Thanksgiving. We had Christmas dinner at Chef Mickey's and it was very un-Christmas like but so much fun since we were at Disney!
