A pregnant what?????

I'm so sick of that guy/girl. He's a girl. Chosing to live as a man. So it's not a MAN having a baby. He still has a uterus- that makes him still a she imho. If they want to have a baby- good for them. I am just sick of hearing about it as if it really is a MAN having a baby. (not refering to you op I am talking about the media)

I'm not offended and I must be out of the loop because that was the first time I heard about it...and you are right....still a uterus...still a woman.

The baby's cute!! It'll be interesting years later when the baby starts asking her "daddy" about growing in his stomach.

Me, too. I also was not thrilled to have to explain this to my son, 7, when he looked at me in shock when the Good Morning America advertisement came on.

I agree with the others- if a person still has their female bits then they are technically a female.

....that baby is really adorable...

I am taking it that none of you have any trans friends or family. If any of you did you would know that this is a man who happens to have a uterus.

I think it is wonderful, and I wish him and his wife a lifetime of happiness.

I agree with this. Good for them, and she is adorable.

Yes he is living as a man and good for him but for medical purposes as long as a person as a uterus then it is not a medical miracle that they have a baby. Medically he is still female.

I understand transgender.
What I bugs me is that it is exploited as a man having a baby as a medical miracle when in fact this is not the case.
It is misleading.

I have no issues that she/he chooses to live his life as a man, more power to him. BUT for the medical/media world to get all hyped up that a man gave birth is false. If a person has a uterus than by medical definition it is a female. So a woman gave birth, not a man.
What I don't get though is if he truly wanted to live his life and forever be known as a man why keep the uterus?

Pregnancy and childbirth are miracles no matter who's involved. But no one claimed that his situation was a "special" miracle. I agree that the media has done more to make him out as a "freak" than to expose the story for what it is: a happy story of a family who went about having a baby in a bit of an unconventional way. The media has gone a bit overboard on their sensationalism of the story. But that's what the media does, because that's what gets the ratings. They're only showing "what the people want".

And, medically he is still a male with a uterus. ;)

Agree, it is just a story the media picked up and exploited to sell, sell, sell.
