No fever for DS last night. :confused3 Can't for the life of me figure out this every other day fever thing. . . He went to school today, but I think I will call the doctor's office anyway just to see what they think. . .

Time is still passing fairly quickly. So much going on this week. Tomorrow and Wednesday I will be running the book fair at the school. Thursday I will be going on DS8's field trip to the circus. And Friday will just be crazy with cleaning, getting last minute things ready, printing off boarding passes, etc. Oh and DS8 has a birthday party to go to Friday night. :upsidedow

I would call too..if not I would be thinking about it everyday!! You are busy!!! I agree about being to get up earlier now...it's sooo much better! I wish they would just leave it like this...I know some states don't change it. I never knew that till my bf married a guy from Arizona...said he didn't know about it till he was in the Navy!!:lmao:
As far as your weather, our forecast for that week starts out around 77 then goes down a little day by day, till we hit 69---Orlando is typically a good bit warmer than we are...so I think you will have an awesome week!! Maybe even some hot days!!! Those will be appreciated by your boys when they swim I am sure!!!! You are gonna have an awesome time!!! I can't wait for Sat for you!!!!!:yay:

Wow! 5 days! That sure went by fast. The book fair is coming to our school tomorrow and Wednesday too, but I'm only helping on Wed. I'm getting so excited for you!!!

I called the doctor's office this morning and talked to a nurse. Told her of DS's every other day fever, stomach ache, and cough. She said - yes, that's the flu that's going around, you can bring him in but we aren't prescribing anything for it, the antibiotics aren't working for it, but call us tomorrow if his cough persists.:sad2: Not really the answer/help I was looking for. . .

Yes, the boys are definitely looking forward to swimming. I just hope they are feeling good and can enjoy their vacation! :wizard:

Yep, it sure did go by quickly!! :yay:

I feel like I should wear one of those masks that cover your mouth and nose to the school this week. I am terrified of catching something.

OOOOOH! The weather does indeed look delightful!!!!:goodvibes Yay for good weather and no hot humid muggy's!!!

The WCC... I think with how outgoing your boys are -- especially your oldest-- they will really like it and get into the action. When you check in- make sure you ask to be seated in the main dining section so you get the whole experience.:)
When we ate there- once I got the skillet- it was very good-- and the other time I got the maple glazed trout and it was very very very good. IDK if you like fish- but I would recommend it if you are looking for something a bit lighter and not as heavy as bbq. There milkshakes are really good and bottomless.
You'll like it I'm sure. The only reason I think we won't go back (For a while, at least) is b/c Belle has absolutely no patience for silliness and shenanigans that she doesn't understand. And she couldn't understand that it was just part of the theme, even though we told her. She thought the waitress was being naughty with all she was doing and mortified at her lack of manners.

The Flu????????? Oh boy-- maybe you should go get him from school?? I sure hope he doesn't infect all of you before you leave-- it's too short of a time now to be getting anything.

Yikes!

Yes, some "delightful" weather will be nice for a change!! :goodvibes

I'm sure you're right and the boys will enjoy all that goes on at WCC. Probably won't eat much, but they will have fun! I don't eat fish, but I will tell DH about the maple glazed trout.

I just don't know what to do about DS. He has less than 2 hours left of school today, so I guess I'll let him finish the day. If his fever comes back tonight he is definitely going to the doctor tomorrow. I just can't figure out why they aren't doing anything for it other than "pushing fluids". :confused3 And the thing is that he feels fine other than the coughing. He doesn't have a headache or any body aches. He is eating good. Well, as good as DS8 eats. :rotfl: And everything else is normal, so I'm not convinced he has the flu. . .

Morning Shelly,

Make sure when you check in at Whispering Canyon that you ask for a seat inside the main restaurant. We were seated in the little outside seating area and didn't get to experience all the "antics".

HI Shelly!! We really like whispering canyon..the skillet is awesome. Also, if you are on the dining plan I think you can get a smoothie or shake as your drink. The smores cheesecake was yummy too! Wolfgang Puck is good no matter what you get..I love the pizza and salads. We haven't eaten at San Angel in ages..but I would like to. That place has such mixed reviews..let us know how you liked it.

I hope your son gets healthy and that you have no one else get sick..it is so stressful I know. 2 years ago, my then 13 month old had a 102 fever the morning of our trip..I was so stressed..its like what do you do?? she had no other symptoms, so we went, loaded her up on fever reducers and she was fine the next day. I must admit I am nervous to fly again in January with all of the "bugs" going around..but I guess there are viruses everywhere and I can't live in a bubble.;)

Shelly... I don't know if it's the flu or not. my little boy had terrible body aches and a bad headache..along with fever. But...you can give him ibuprofen for the fever and any discomfort...that and lots of liquid are all we did for him..he slept a LOT too!!

Hey Andrea! :goodvibes

Yes, I hear the WCC has great shakes! And I saw that Smores cheesecake on the menu, sounds wonderful. :cloud9:

I know, I just don't know what to do! That's why I called the doctor's office today. I was hoping they would just give him an antibiotic and then I would have it in-case he needs it. But nope! :sad2: Guess I'll just wait it out one more day. If his cough is still bad or his fever comes back I will take him in and raise a fuss until they do something! :rotfl:

I don't know either. He's not tired or achy. He hasn't really slowed down a bit. Doesn't really seem like the flu to me. . . :confused3

Hey Shelly! :goodvibes Gosh, I can't believe you are only 5 days from your trip! :cool1: You guys are going to have THE BEST time! :woohoo: The weather looks AWESOME!!! :thumbsup2 Hope everybody is healthy and enjoys every little bit! Can't wait to hear ALL about it! :)

5 DAYS!!!!! :woohoo::yay::banana::cool1::thumbsup2

One of my little daycare guys is out with cold symptoms and fever. No other flu symptoms though. His baby's mom just took him to the ped because he's had fevers on and off again for 2 days now. They told her it wasn't the flu and that he has an adenovirus. Viral- antibiotics won't work, push the fluids, etc.
DD is now starting with croupy coughs and stuffy nose. No fever yet though.

Better pack a full first aid kit for the trip just in case! :headache:

If you really don't mind missing out on some of the antics (I didn't tell my family about them before going.), then it wouldn't matter where you sat at Whispering Canyon. Hunter was still able to partake in the whole "I need ketchup!" fun even though we were sitting in the outside seating area. When we were leaving, we had to walk back through the main seating area and it was super busy and crowded.

Kinda not worth the co-pay!!

I hope you guys like WCC. We love it! The first time we were in the second dining room. We got to be a part of MOST everything, but this really snooty lady sat next to us who obviously wasn't there for the atmosphere. She kept giving my kids dirty looks and scooting her chair as if they'd give her cooties! She SO didn't have the Disney magic! This last time we were smack-dab in the middle of the dining room and it was a blast. My kids don't want to get up to participate, but they love getting the ketchup and crayons and just being in the excitement! It's total silly/corny, but fun. And we're huge skillet fans except for the beans. They're icky. I got some sort of tropical smoothie and it was INCREDIBLE and Drew liked his chocolate shake! And the kaluha chocolate cake is TOO DIE FOR! :lovestruc I hope you like it! Can't wait to hear how it goes!

That sounds just like what DS has. . . He will be home soon, so we'll see how he is doing the rest of today.

Hope your DD isn't getting anything serious.
