It is 8:15 PM, and a man just knocked on my door trying to sell me meat. He tells me that he had deliveries to make in my neighborhood, and some of them went south. I am already trying to tell him, "no thanks", when I look
behind him to see his pickup. There is a huge set of long horns sitting on top.
I quickly told him no again, and shut, locked, and deadbolted my door.
Why on earth would someone buy meat out of a pickup with horns? :rotfl2:
Even better, why did he pick my house to sell meat? This is just great, the cow stalker knows where I live. :rolleyes2

Is that even legal? I wonder what the FDA would say about that? All I can think of yuck! I only buy me meat from HEB (Texas grocery store). I hope he doesn't come to my house since we are in the same area. Thanks for the Heads Up.

That happened here once! Someone in a beat-up old pickup truck came to our house wanting to sell us meat from a cooler. :crazy2:

Somebody came to my parents' house like that over the summer...and mom was home alone, and she has dementia...so I pulled up and was a little scared, but she had still sent him on his way. Feisty mama. :) *sigh* Ok, moving on...

We used to have one of those around here. The truck was even painted like a cow (in addition to the horns)! He came to our house one day giving the same spiel you got...someone ordered and didn't pay so I could get it at a huge discount. I told him no thanks and he kept on. I finally had to shut the door in his face.

I called the Police Department just to make sure it was legitimate. They did not know of anyone in the area having a license to sell meat door to door.
They wanted to know if I got the license plate number of the pickup. :confused3 No, I did not. There were horns on it!

The mental picture of this is hysterical! Is it any wonder that some of his orders "went south"?

They do this around here too...same line.

Never trust a man with horns!

It's pretty common to have the door-to-door "meat man" come around here. They usually sell meat among other things, but don't sound nearly as creepy as the truck with horns! LOL :)
