Thank you so much for this post. I also agree that "sarcastic remarks meant to belittle" are totally unnecessary. There are many ways to say "Wow, what an idiot you are!" which is why I was so surprised to find this reply to my post on the "New pool heat policy?" thread (post #352):

"Right, let's all believe someone who has 2 posts and reports to be a summer CM at SAB. Especially given the fact that Disney doesn't encourage their CMs to answer questions about Disney policy on intenet forums."

The surprise was the post (there are a lot of jerks ou there) but the poster!!!

I was wondering what happened to those two. The forums have been, well,...pleasant. While I respect their opinions, and their right to have those opinions, I didn't need to read it ad-nausium.
I kind of like feeling like a member of the DVC family, and not a second class citizen.

Thanks, mods! I'm not a DVC member, but was reading threads to find out about renting points. I had almost decided not to due to a couple of mean spirited posters' opinions of the renters, but now I think I will try after all.

Thanks again- it's nice to know that those were just the opinions of a few "bad apples", not the attitude of most DVC members.

May I add my thanks to the Moderators. Although I do enjoy watching the occasional sparks fly, the situation had gotten to the point that if one of them was listed as the most recent poster, I would avoid the thread - even if it concerned a subject in which I was really interested.

The Dis is a wonderful place to gather and share information, whether one is a DVC member or not.
