Me (Ashley) I will be 21 in a few days! I'm a junior Political Science major at the University of Louisville in KY. I'm hoping to go to law school in a couple of years so I have to get my Disney trips in while I can.:thumbsup2. I'm am the planner of this trip. I LOVE to plan. I think it's almost as fun as going on the actual trip :rolleyes1 This will be my 5th trip to the world and I just can't get enough.

DBF, Virgil, 22
This is my boyfriend of almost 4 years now. We met in high school. He, while not a huge disney fan, indulges me on these Disney trips. He is a vocal major at the University of Louisville and wants to be a music teacher. This will be his 3rd trip to the world in 3 years.

How THis Trip Came About

In 2009, we went on our first trip together to Disney World. When we were talking one day we somehow got on the topic of Disney and he said that he'd never been to Disney World :scared1: So we just HAD to plan a trip down there. I hadn't been in almost years either so it was like new to me too.

While down there we were spending some time on the Boardwalk and came across that dance club that is down there (Jellyrolls?) I can't remember the name. He made the statement that,"I guess we'll have to come back when you're 21 then so we can go"

So in 2010 I started planning our June 2011 Trip. On a side note, we went with his mother, a family friend and 10 kids:scared1: between the two of them on a trip in June 2010. She paid for both of us to come:worship: and I was soooooooooo happy to get my disney fix for the year.

So basically I've been planning this trip since early 2010 with the help of my trusty planning binder. I wanted to share a few pictures with you. This is what I came up with. Some of the designs I borrowed from a few other dissers.

Sorry the pictures are so large, I'm not sure how to resize them yet.

So to keep me busy during my LOOONG wait for my disney trip (and to procrastinate from my school work :)). I've been working on other disney related crafts.

First up are my mousekeeping and tip envelopes

027.jpg

Then I put all of my flight information and ADR info on 3x5 index cards so I wouldn't have to go through my binder to get the information.

034-1.jpg

Last but not least is an idea I came up with to keep up with our dining plan credits.

When I rip off the little tabs an x will appear in that spot of the credit that I have used.

Next up ADRs!!!

Absolutely floored by your binder and tip envelopes.
How did you make those (tip envelopes)?

I am in for your PTR!! :)

As for the tip envelopes I can't for the life of me remember where I got those from. I downloaded them from a website. But I have some links for some others if you would like them.

This link has a nice variety of restaurants

I was able to make my ADRs this past Saturday 12/4. So in true DIS fashion I woke up at 6:30 am to make a 7:00am phone call. I actually made my first reservation online since it was exactly 180 days but it wouldn't work for the rest of them.

I was on hold for about 20 minutes:scared1: but the disney music made it worth the wait  The CM was excellent and I was able to get everything I wanted!

06/02
Yachtsman Steakhouse (7:00pm)

06/04
Coral Reef (1:00pm)

06/05
50's Prime Time Cafe (1:00pm)

06/07
Boma (8:00am)

06/08
Cinderella's Royal Table (1:00pm)

I also wanted to get the Wishes Dessert Party for 6/08 but it still hasn't been loaded into the system:sad1: So I was told to check in periodically since they didn't know when it would be ready for reservations. Which in my mind, check in periodically really means check in everyday :rotfl:

Doesn't that look good :thumbsup2

So far so good! :thumbsup2 What are you going to do for dining the rest of the time, or are you not done with your ADRs?

Never heard of the Wishes Dessert Party, and am now researching that.
That photo didn't come through automatically for me and had to look it up from the link. I drooled when I opened it. I'll have one of everything, and then another. I don't have a big sweet tooth, but for some reason in the morning I do!

I just recently heard about the party myself. I am dying to try it. Its located at the Tomorrowland Terrace and from what I understand you get unlimited desserts and a small selection of drinks. You also get great seats for wishes. I've heard that you can see a little bit of the Spectromagic parade too but I'm not sure about that.

The rest of our meals are going to be counter service. The restaurants that we want to try are:

Magic Kingdom
Columbia Harbour House
Peco's Bills
Cosmic Ray's (This is one of our favorites)

Animal Kingdom
Flame Tree BBQ

Hollywood Studios
Starring Rolls Cafe

I can't wait to try one of these Cupcakes!

Picture from The Disney Food Blog

Epcot
Sunshine Seasons (Another Favorite)
I'm not sure about which counter service I want to try in World Showcase. Does anyone have any reccomendations?

Cornado Springs Resort
Pepper Market

Downtown Disney
Wolfgang Puck Express

Hi Ashley
I love love love your Disney Binder. You're so organized, I'm impressed. Also you're Mousekeeping Envelops are cute too. You've inspired me to make some of my own.

Your ADRs look great. If you've never been to 50's Prime Time Cafe, you will love it. It's one of my favorite places at Disney. Never been to CRT for lunch, only for breakfast.

I have stayed at Coronado Springs in the past and will be staying there again in April. It's a great resort. The Pepper Market is really good from what I can remember. Haven't been to Disney in over 12 years though.

Is Disney bringing back the Wishes Dessert Party? I would love to get a spot for that.

Are those cupcakes from Starring Rolls? They looks soooo gooood! Will have to try one when I go.

Yes they are bringing back the Wishes Dessert Party!!! :cool1: If you call Disney Dining they should be able to tell you what dates they're having it. They aren't booking for June yet because its not loaded into the system but they might be for April. The CM told me it was $27.58 per person.

And I have been DYING to try one of those cupcakes. Yes, they are from starring rolls. I'm so jealous that you will be able to get one before me. :upsidedow

As of yesterday, I am officially done with finals for the semester :woohoo: so on with the PTR!

As a college student I'm not exactly rolling in dough :sad2: so I was thinking of different ways to earn a little extra money for the trip when I came across the Disney rewards board.

They have a list of websites that allow you to earn cash online and send it to your paypal account. Quickrewards is my favorite and I've used a few others too. So far I have been able to pay my down payment on the trip and yesterday I got this in the mail

001.jpg

This should be able to cover any CS meals that we're paying for OOP, extra snacks and some spending money! :thumbsup2

Now I'm working on earning money for other expenses like baggage fees and tips for our table service restaurants.

So as of yesterday I am 21 and officially legal :cool1:. I celebrated by going out to lunch with my parents, spending some time with my family and DBF's family, and then I spent the rest of the evening with DBF.

We went to Horseshoe Casino, I wanted to try the Paula Dean Buffet, but it was seafood night and I'm not a huge seafood fan, so we ended up at another restaurant there and LOVED it. I had a great day/night.

I wanted to share with you what I got from DBF

First he got me some stuff from Bath and Body Works, Sweat Pea (my fave)
003.jpg

Then as a surprise he got me a new Guess purse! I fell in love with it at the store. But when I went back it wasn't there anymore. Turns out he bought the last one.
004.jpg

And last but not least, I was completely surprised when he gave me this

A $25 Disney Gift Card for our trip!!

Ok, now that I have all of my ADR’s in place I wanted to show you what I thought our Day by Day plans would look like. Starting with Day 1-Arrival day. I wanted to take it easy since it will be a travel day. Let me know what you think!

• Our flight leaves Louisville @ 5:50am

• We arrive @ MCO @ 10:02am

• I’ve heard to give yourself 2 hours from landing to arriving at your resort with Magical Express, so I figure at the latest we would arrive at Coronado Springs around Noon.

• After Check-In we’re going to grab some lunch from Pepper Market

• Hopefully our room will be ready so we can relax for a little bit, but if not we’re just going to explore the resort

• Then we want to try the searaycers that they have there. They look like a lot of fun

sea-raycer.jpg

• We have a dinner reservation @ Yachtmans Steakhouse for 7:00pm so we will need to allow enough time to get there

• After that we were going to look around the Yacht club for a little while then head back to the resort because I’m sure we will be tired after such an early morning.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Happy Birthday!

I used to use sites like Quick Rewards when I didn't have a job. Easy money but very time consuming.

Happy Birthday!

I used to use sites like Quick Rewards when I didn't have a job. Easy money but very time consuming.

Thank you so much! and :welcome:

And I agree, quickrewards can get very tedious. I used to do all of the daily clicks and paid e-mails, but now I just do the surveys since they upped the amount you get paid. I also do all of my online shopping there as well

So Day 2 will be our first day at the parks and we will be going to MAGIC KINGDOM!

• I want to try to make park opening. I have never seen the opening show at the Magic Kingdom

• Breakfast – Snack from Main Street Bakery!

• The Game plan for this day is just to try to get in as many rides as we can

• Lunch- Columbia Harbour House

• If we feel the need to we’ll take a break midday when it’s the hottest and go back to CSR

• Then back to magic Kingdom

• Dinner- Pecos Bills

• We’re going to skip Wishes and the Parade tonight because we’re planning on seeing it later on in the week. So we’re just going to take advantage of the shorter wait times!

• EMH until 1am!

MUST DO!
Space Mountain (We have never ridden this):confused3
Dumbo (Once Again we have never ridden this):sad2:
BTMRR
Mickey’s Philharmagic (DBF’s Favorite)
Teacups
Haunted Mansion
Buzz Lightyear
Peter Pan
TTA
Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor (we always seem to enjoy this)
Dole Whips (of course)

Let me know what you think! :)
