A Guide to Going to Disney on Your Birthday!

I cant believe I forgot to mention my 40th when I booked my adrs.I think I was just to focused on getting CRT at the right time!
Would it seem mad to phone back and ask them to add a note or will it be noted if I order a cake?
Thanks

we are celebrating my DW's Bday 3 weeks early. is this ok wrong or what? this is going to be a child free trip and our anniv is during this trip. should i mention that to anyone at WDW? we like Bdays at WDW. i did my first Bday when i was 8 at DL. thanks in advance.

We will be spending my daughters 8th birthday at MK. We're starting with ADR's at CRT - 8:25 am. Then BBB at 4:30. Tony's for dinner at 6:00. PPP will finish off the night! She will be 8 forever because mom can never top this birthday:yay:  :cool1: :yay:  :cool1: :yay:  :cool1: I know she's spoiled, but she has never had a birthday like this before...did I mention that it's all a surprise! SHHHHHH! I hope I can keep this secret for 4 months:scared1:

to my knowledge, there's a very stringent requirement that you must have a birthday occurring within the next 12 months or so (or 48 months if you were born on feb 29).

We are going in October for MNSSHP and ds birthday is on Halloween! This is what I am looking at doing:
Breakfast Ohana's
MK
Dinner Chef Mickey's
MNSSHP

Is there any little extra special touches that can be done for their birthdays or if anyone has good ideas I would LOVE to hear them. By the way this trip is a suprise for him, they thought we weren't going until Christmas!

I am going for my 21st birthday...
I am so excited... I can't wait...
I am hoping to have this a very special birthday and disney is the place for it
I made reservations for 1900 Park fare, and I am going to order myself the mini castle cake...nothing wrong with spoiling yourself once in a while
:)

Most diffently let WDW know that it is your bday and anniversary. You should call them today and have them put it on your reservation. Disney loves that kind of thing. Enjoy

We are also celebrating DD's 7th birthday for the whole week. I am so excited, she loves just wearing her guest badge with her name on it so I know she will love the happy birthday buttons!

Thanks for all the info everyone!

does anybody know if CSR has birthday cakes that can be delivered to your room?

Thanks for all the great tips! I am looking forward to my very own Birthday Weekend Extravaganza in September.

Please tell me how you got that cake!! the one with the castle - is it at a specific restaurant or can you order it at any one? Please advise I love it, this will be our 3rd year celebrating dd's bday in WDW and that cake would certainly be different! I try to find something different to do each year! We celebrate both dd and ds 2 days apart in Dec so it's fun! I have yet to do anything different than Chef Mickey's for son, we always have so much fun!

I got my cake from the Grand Floridian bakery, I made a detailed post about it on page 38 of the "official birthday and anniversary cake thread" in Disney Restaurants if you're interested! :)

i plan to get birthday buttons from all the parks when i'm there celebrating my 50th!

note that languages aside, there is only 1 design for birthday buttons now. getting one from one location would be sufficient unless you lose it :)

Thanks for all the ideas!

My daughter is 2 and will be 3 on September 22. Our trip is from September 15-21. She will be the 2 the whole time but wanted to celebrate her birthday there. I know there is no problem with her celebrating before the day as far as park admission goes, but how about the restuarants? We wil being lots of character buffets. Can we celebrate her 3rd birthday and then maintain that she is only 2 when the bill comes? :cool1: I don't want people thinking we are getting over on them.

Absolutely tell them it is her birthday. In fact when you make your reservations and tell them the real day they will tell you that it is no big deal! Disney loves birthdays. How many people can really get to dinsey on their actual birthday? Have fun!

I'll be celebrating my 25th birthday on October 1 when Epcot also turns 25! I'm so excited that Disney makes an effort to make birthdays magical.
