okay.. I am beat so I can't read all the way thru to see where you decided to stay, but I am dying to know. We were going to stay at AKL in Sept, but it is booked... so we are staying at the Beach Club. yeah, I know.. so sad. lOL

We just got home from a week using only the QS dining plan and loved eating the QS at the resorts. This time we are doing the regular dining plan and today I booked: Boma, Ohana and 1900 Park Fare. My youngest dd loves Alice.. or Allison Wonderland as she is known around here.

:)

Lost my cable service and roadrunner today. Stupid construction workers cut the main line. I can't believe youse guys talked 5 pages worth! :scared1: ACK! That's a bummer. I kept getting dropped by our ISP a couple of weeks ago. I was not impressed. They fixed it in a hurry though!

We went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg when Tucker was 2, and stayed at Econo Lodge. According to their website, they had interior hallways, so I booked it. Turns out their interior hallways meant a covered concrete breezeway... and our room was right in the T across from the ice machine! I never realized that there are people getting ice CONSTANTLY all during the night. About 4am Wynn went out and unplugged the ice machine, and we had 2 hours of exhausted sleep before someone figured it out and plugged it back in. :sad2: LOL at unplugging the ice machine. Smart man! :thumbsup2

Look over the menu for Biergarten. It is in Germany. From the outside, the smell of cooked cabbage is horrifying... but you don't notice it inside. They have wonderful schnitzel, salads, bratwurst... traditional German fare. They have an Oompah band that plays during dinner, and all the little kids get up and dance. Yeah, I have them booked. :)

Very cute pictures of the kids! I'm sure I'll be doing it too!

Did you get the message I sent you yesterday?

Hi there! I hope you had a wonderful trip and great weather. I actually considered the BC!

I guess this thread got a little big, huh? :rotfl2: oopsie! After some tense conversations and weighing out the pros and cons of what was important to me, and the risk of a self induced brain implosion, I decided to do a split stay. Four nights at CSR and five nights at The Poly. :lmao: Still undecided on the dining plan but just booked a pile of ressies. :thumbsup2 You know, since I can't sleep any more than oh, four hours of combined sleep a night! Argh! :headache: I wanted to book Boma but don't care for spicy food so I chickened out. lol

But we've had so much fun making it that BIG! :thumbsup2

We skipped out on Boma's for dinner last year because we were tired and I really don't like spicy food either. We are going to give breakfast a shot the next time we are going.

So do you feel rested today to start working on your next set of dining ADR's?

Bless your heart! I would have been so upset!

:lmao::lmao::lmao: That's awesome!

I love the "napkin spinning" at Chef Mickey's...Let's everyone have fun!

Tracy,
I saw you asked about credits at Chef Mickey's a while back, but didn't notice if it was answered..it is only 1 credit for that.

Romantic restaurants....Artist Point at WL looks really romantic and quiet...I have never eaten there, as it is a 2 credit TS, but the tables aren't on top of each other like thye are at some places.

Your best bet for romance might be room service while at the Poly..You can get yummy food from Kona or Ohana off of the in-room dining menu. You could even carry your tray out to the beach and eat while watching the sunset or Wishes and the EWP. (Actually, to save $$, go get takeout from Captian Cooks and do this) Just take some bug spray...we found that the sand gnats were out at dusk...they didn't bother us once we put on the off.

Oh thank you! I'm trying to read up on the TS credits right now. Talk about a pain in the bazooka!

I've got quite a bit booked right now. Maybe I should just leave it as is. Heh. I'm waaay out of my comfort zone!

If you list what you've got, we can tell you if it is one or two credits--most of us are dining plan pros!

Rested? :rotfl2: Well, I turned the lights out just before 4am and it took me awhile to fall asleep. That's not unusual though. Then Kari jinxed me!! I had no internet this morning so spent a while on the phone with them. :rotfl: They are sending a tech out tomorrow morning. Again. Today they told me it was showing that I had no phone line. :confused3 I laughed and said that was quite interesting since I was talking on my land line phone to them! Ah technology at it's finest.

So. Wanna hear my ressies? Huh huh?

Yes! Yes! Yes! Want to hear your ressies.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Want to hear your ressies.

Okay, so far I have...

Planet Hollywood dinner for the hubby
Sci-Fi Dine-In for lunch
Narcoossees for 9pm dinner - fireworks baby!
Kona for breakie - must have muh macadamia pancakes
Biergarten for lunch
Chef Mickeys for late dinner
Cinderella's Royal table for anniversary dinner

I am presently debating on Hoop Dee Do. I'm running the figures right now to see which would be cheaper - dining plan or not. I am so cross eyed!

My goodness you ladies have been busy chatting without me!!

Absolutely  the all the photos! Avery and Tucker are so darn cute! (good to see you back, Kari. :) )

And, Kathy, I can't believe how much older Andy looks now - he has really filled out and looks manly. ;)

So, have they landed at MCO yet? You must promise to keep us updated - this is our armchair WDW trip until another of our girlfriends get to go ::yes::

:woohoo: Tracy, you have been a busy beaver!! Great ADR's...yes, we want a full list!!! :cheer2:

Ooops - must have posted at the the same time! GREAT list!! Hoop-dee-Doo would use up dining credits and it's expensive out of pocket. The show is fun, the food is okay now - not as good as years ago, but that's true all over WDW. Making a ressie this late would not get the best table either...nevertheless, if it is something you think you'd really enjoy, go for it! We've been seated right up front once (too close for comfort for me), middle twice, slightly back twice and upstairs 3 times. Last time we did it was 2005 and before that was 1989.....or was it 1993...awhile ago anyway.

Table service credits in red. Hoop Dee Do is also 2 table service credits

We love Biergarten and Chef Mickey's--start practicing waving your napkin now. Also, love Sci Fi and it is really neat sitting in the cars to eat.
We've not done Kona in years; with two boys, we've never done Cinderella's Royal Table--they wouldn't be caught dead eating in a castle! :rotfl:
We've never done a 2 table service credit so we've not done Narcoosses but we have read great things about it.

You are doing an AWESOME JOB! Very proud of you for being a "rookie" at this dining thing.

When I checked last night, they had all three seating areas open for several times. I think it would be a hoot to see, but we're already booked for two very expensive meals, so really on the fence with this one.

It is a hoot!! I've taken friends a few times who thought they would absolutely hate it..and all of them were swinging their napkins in the air, clapping and have a grand 'ole time.

Gee, I'm missing planning right now and I usually don't. Guess 'cuz I don't have anywhere to go this year...nothing to plan at all.

Still, love being an armchair traveller and it's so much fun to help with your plans and hear how it unfolds!!! :goodvibes

I think we'd really enjoy it. The dinner theatre prices aren't expensive to me. That's what we pay here so I'm okay with that. I'm really floored at the menu prices everywhere else, especially for quick service food. :( We had the dining plan when we were there in March so I really didn't pay attention to the prices. $10 for a hamburger and some fries? Come on! The Pepper Market prices have my hair standing up! Dining plan or not. Another pickle. Yay!?

Yep, Pepper Market is high. That's why we only eat two meals there usually and eat the rest in the parks. But we also like the new Cafe Rix at the CSR (this is the new "grab and go"--it's really good). Here's some photos of the food and menu:

Oooh those desserts look mighty fine!!! :) So what would be a reasonable (ha!) figure to spend a day on meals for two people? $75 - 100??

Those all look really good. I want to do the Sci-Fi, but couldn't get in last year. I think the chili looks yummy! (Of course, you probably don't want that in August!)

I'm dying to know what he thinks about his Nemo room once he gets in it. Feel free to post here without us freaking out that "if he doesn't like characters, then he shouldn't go to Disney!" :rotfl: Or any other such assinine comment!

We REALLY loved this show. We left there feeling as if we got every penny of our money's worth. The kids are hoping to go back there next time we go to WDW.

Takes awhile, but now you need to look at the menu, see what you think you and DH are likely to order, and figure out the pricing. Spending more than $35 each per day, then go with DDP. Don't forget to add in tip when figuring, as it is not included in DDP. Also, you may want to try to arrange your 1 TS meals so they are all during your Poly stay (or CSR) so that you only do DDP for 1 resort.

You are TOO funny! They are there and registered--took about 20 minutes. Room not ready, he has to call at 3:00 to find out room (I thought they had this new "text messaging" system?). They were told they are in Barbados 13??? At least that's what he thinks. Him and Nicole are eating lunch at the food court; Kevon, the baseball player, is with some of the other kids swimming already!
