I needed to de-stress. So I just had a nice shower with my Lush products. I lub Lush. That is one of my luxuries that I spend money on for myself. (Lush.com) I used my Seanik shampoo bar, Rub Rub Rub shower scrub, 17 Cherry Tree Lane soap and then my Heavanilli massage bar. Mmmmmmm, I smell goooooooood. :cloud9: I better sleep tonight!!

These ressies are driving me mad!! :upsidedow

I'm going to look up Lush.com--those sound heavenly.

Your best bet for Mickey is Chef Mickey's--however, with the time frame so close now, you might have troubles...that fills up quickly. I just did a quick search putting a couple of dates the first week of August and saw no availability for Chef Mickey's. But I did find availability for Crystal Palace for breakfast with Pooh and friends at the Magic Kingdom.

OOOOOOHHHHH....just found Chef Mickey's on August 4 at 11:20 a.m. for breakfast. You need to go to online dining right away (or pm me your phone number and email and I'll do it for you).

Wow...that 'view' sure was a surprise!! Yes, hopefully you'll have a better view at WL - what view have you booked?

Okay...my turn...what does ITA stand for, please? Brain is frozen..and I know I'll feel dumb when I hear it...it'll be one of those "duh" moments.;)

We've eaten at the Garden Grille a few times - waaay back in the very early days of EPCOT and just last summer. It revolves so slowly that if you didn't know, you might not even notice. Food was okay - characters were dressed as farmers and made the rounds (no pun intended lol) a few times.

I was very surprised at how much I/we enjoyed Ohana (at the Poly) for breakfast last summer. The characters were not at all annoying and the food was delicious! We had a table with a clear castle view - talk about magical! Maybe I said this before, but had my first Mimosa and it was yummy! Must have been a table for 2 b/c we were 2 adults and a toddler.

Gee, didn't realize you had no idea about some of the character breakfasts, Tracy! So much fun!! Lots of options!

Last time we ate in the Castle was, oh, um...1984/5? Wow, long time ago! We had Thanksgiving Dinner that year - it was our second and last time - everyone enjoyed it...I mean., we were eating in the Castle - so cool! We did not do it again due to cost an the thrill factor had passed after twice. But we really enjoyed it!
I booked a Woodsvieiw bunkbed room. I think I'm going to request North Wing, upper floor, and hope to be able to see some of the fireworks from MK. We aren't big "view" people, and usually wouldn't pay to upgrade to a better view, but now I know if we stay at a Casino again, to make sure to ask for an exterior view room..It wasn't the lousy view, as much as the NOISE that got us.

We found Garden Grille by accident on our 1st trip as "adults" (I use that term loosely) in 2002. Chris was 2 at the time, and a bit afraid of characters. A CM suggested it to us, and she was right on! He was able to see the characters, but felt safe in the curved booths. Halfway through the meal, he was on the edge of the seat and giggling, and we liooked up and noticed that we were overlooking the Land boat ride, and the place had been revolving.:lmao:

We did the Castle once for Lunch, when it was still 1 credit on the dining plan. It was a great meal, but I can't justify the cost now...Martina seems to have no desire to do it again, so unless she REALLY wants to, we'll try other things.

Ohana's breakfast was always my "must do" but i don't think we will get there this year. I LOVE Lilo and Stitch, & we got married in Hawaii, so the Poly and the theme are extra-special to me.

I'm glad you got to de-stress a little!

Dining ressies are stressful....I'm a nervous wreck that I won't be able to get anything good since we have a short trip, and I can't even make any till October..I have "the list" of everyone's must do's, and I know we won't get them all...I have to tell them the same thing they are teling me...It doesn't have to be perfect, but it will be magical cause we will be in Disney.

Someone said there was cheesecake "to die for" somewhere. Anyone remember where that was?? I've got two bookings so far. Go me! Planet Hollywood for hubby and Kona's for my macadamia nut pancakes. Yum!

What about Chef Mickey's at 8:50 for dinner? Do you want me to book it for you? I've currently got it in "my cart."

I'm not sure about the cheesecake. I know a lot of people love the grapefruit cake at Brown Derby--my DH hated it. My favorite dessert is the Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake at LeCellier.

Thanks, Kathy. I got it for 8:40 on Aug 6. I hope it's good!!! I will eat any flavour of cheese cake. It's my fav!!! Any idea if it's 1 or 2 TS credits??

Ok, I scored Narcoossee's for a 9pm dinner on the 4th. That's where the cheesecake is!!! WOOHOO!! Someone give me another romantic place to have an evening dinner with my lovie.

HOORAY!!!!! You will love Chef Mickey's. They do this cute "napkin swinging" thing during dinner. It's a buffet, but we've always enjoyed it. And when you check in they take a picture of you and your hubby in front of a huge Mickey plate! The characters will stop by your table for photos with you. Here's a picture of Andy and his ex-girlfriend from his high school trip "swinging their napkins" and with Minnie:

California Grill at the Contemporary and you can watch the fireworks over the castle if you can get a ressie. Also, a lot of people say that the Italian restaurant at Epcot is romantic as is Chef's De France at Epcot.

Awww. That is so cute! I think I will love it there. I'm having a hard time finding a place in Epcot and deciding if I want lunch or dinner. Ugh. Think I'll tackle this tomorrow. My brain is about to explode!

Thanks for all your help. :)

Any time. And if you need more help in the morning, just holler--I'll be around.

You've done GREAT with what you got already.

Andy is packing now as they are leaving at 3:30 a.m. for the airport. I'm so jealous he is going!

Aye! That will be us in 30 days. Our flight leaves at 6am. I'm so excited for him! He will have a blast. I wish you were going with him!

Me too! Oh well, I'll just make it a longer trip next year. Have a good sleep and we'll start all over again tomorrow with Epcot. And, by the way, I see that Disney spirit creeping out a little more each day.

Night, Tracy.

Night, Kathy! *hugs* Would you believe I can't even get a ressie at Ohanas for dinner?! Grrrrr. Looks like room service for us!

There were several breakfasts available at Ohanas when I looked. I didn't check for dinner. Sorry.

Lost my cable service and roadrunner today. Stupid construction workers cut the main line. I can't believe youse guys talked 5 pages worth! :scared1:

Okay, girlfriend...first thing we need you to do is reserve a breakfast at one of these places

I know the character breakfasts are expensive, but there is a way to work it to your favor. Schedule your breakfast around 11:00, and make it a brunch. You will be full enough to last all day, and then grab a CS for dinner. It actually works out cheaper for us that way. They have lots of heavier foods available at the breakfasts, so you will find plenty that will fill you up and not wear off early.

We had 2 large picture windows, so we opened our shades to see the view...It was the lobby and casino:scared1: ...When we turned off the TV, we discovered that you could hear the lobby music and the Ding, ding ding from the casino...all night long.

Bless your heart! I would have been so upset!

We went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg when Tucker was 2, and stayed at Econo Lodge. According to their website, they had interior hallways, so I booked it. Turns out their interior hallways meant a covered concrete breezeway... and our room was right in the T across from the ice machine! I never realized that there are people getting ice CONSTANTLY all during the night. About 4am Wynn went out and unplugged the ice machine, and we had 2 hours of exhausted sleep before someone figured it out and plugged it back in. :sad2:

I'm having a hard time finding a place in Epcot and deciding if I want lunch or dinner.

Look over the menu for Biergarten. It is in Germany. From the outside, the smell of cooked cabbage is horrifying... but you don't notice it inside. They have wonderful schnitzel, salads, bratwurst... traditional German fare. They have an Oompah band that plays during dinner, and all the little kids get up and dance.
