A great big pickle...sigh.

Kathy - what a beautiful family you have. And what handsome boys! You look so much like someone I used to work with. It's uncanny! Gorgeous. Woot! :)

Wow, a gone a few minutes and look at all these neat posts!

Kari, I love your children's names!! Everyone here has such nice names.

What a great idea bout cousins and FB! I have oodles of cousins in Chicago, but haven't been in touch since my parents passed in 2002...they don't even know about DD's baby Sophia.

So, how do I search for someone on FB? And if they have private settings, like I do, will I still be able to find them? I'm excited!!!:yay:

Tracy, I was a natural redhead at birth - they tell me hair the color of a new penny. Got darker over time - likes yours in the avatar and now...sigh...it's silver and white..used to have it foiled, but at nearly $300 every 8 weeks, I decided natural was good. LOL

Kathy, another great family photo. You guys take the best photos! Such a lovely family...sigh...

Don't think I have any photos to post..I try to stay away from the camera as it truly dislikes me. Could scare a small child.

I love Tahiti too.. the best lagoon views...although some free lagoon views in Tokelau....
Tahiti has several of the GV's balconies blocked by lush gardens. We were noticing when we walked by in 2007 how much everything had grown. The "newer" bldgs are all so nice...and doesn't Tahiti have some double sinks?

Hey Kari! Was wonderin where you were today! Guess you have a life, huh? :worship:

We were at a cookout/birthday party today. It was close to 100 here, so the kids were playing in the sprinklers all day. ya'll should have seen the rednecks at this party... it was hysterical! This one lady came by to visit, and she was wearing sweatpants, a wife-beater t-shirt, and smokin a CIGAR! I felt like it was a scene from Deliverance or something. :scared1:

Tracy... love the pic! Red hair looks good on you!

Kathy... that is an awesome family pic! Your boys are very handsome.

You can enter their first and last names (sometimes middle or maiden too) and search that way. If they have a picture posted, you will be able to see that. Also, their city, state will show up if they have that listed in their info. Then you just send them a friend request. If you find 1 or 2 in each family, then you can look at their friends to try to find others.

One of my favorite friends is my cousin's daughter in CA. My cousin was given up at birth, and I never knew about her until right before Tucker was born. He was 3 before she ever came to meet the family. Her daughter is in college and engaged, and we chat every so often. It is funny how similar our personalities are (and my cousin, too) even though we never knew each other.

I also love to chat with my cousins in Florida. They are quite a bit older than me, and I have only seen them every 5 years or so at best.

Re: facebook. Hrm, depends on how the user has their settings. Some you can only search by an email address, others you can search by their name. If someone searches my name, I'm easily traceable because my maiden name is in there too.

I love the new penny colour (yeah, we put a "u" in there. Blame it on the British :p) I can't believe you paid $300 for your hair??!! Whoa. :scared1: I pay 7.99 for a do it yourself box of Clairol. :lmao: I am cheap! When I do go to the hairdresser, she charges me $45. I lub my hairdresser! And silver and white is shexy! Rawr! :thumbsup2

I wish I could color my hair, but it is so long that I can't get it even. The color will soak into the older hair near the ends, so I come out very splotchy. My hair is about 5 inches below my waist. I am thinking about cutting it off... but then I will need to decide between color or a perm. Much as I hate all my gray hair, I will probably get the perm instead.

Thank you! If I can be proud of one thing, my boys turned out pretty darn good!

You could always post a photo of Sophia...she is such a doll.

Thank you! I think they are handsome too--and, in most circumstances, good kids (although they have their moments!).

I see you've met the crazies in my hubby's new family! :lmao: Smokin a cigar, eh? That's hot. :thumbsup2

Thank you on the pic. I'm really wanting to change it, but that's not out of a Clairol box. :(

Wowzers! Below your waist? Yes, it's time to chop it. You can do it! :cheer2: Get the colour! Set yourself free from the perm. You will feel so liberated. Be FREEEEE! Ahhhhhhhh. :cloud9:

Would it be easier to take care of shorter? And hey, 2 things:
My dear Kari....
1. you are waaay to young to have much grey hair.
2. you are so small that even with 80 extra lbs you'd still be small!!

In all these photos: Kari, Tracy and Kathy, not one of you is even close to chubby!!! Trust me on this..I know chubby.:thumbsup2 I live it! ::yes::

To add to what Tracy said...color will give your hair body, so no need for a perm! That's what I miss about color - I still have baby fine, thin hair and colour (I have some British friends ;) ) gives it some body.

Oh, I am chubby. I only have head shots. My brunette pic is chubby. I don't have it web-hosted so I can't post it in the thread. I could change my avatar again, I suppose. That would work. :thumbsup2

My dear Christine...
1. I started getting gray hair at 15... so trust ne I have a lot! Fortunately, it is all around the crown of my head, and hidden well if I keep my hair pulled back! :thumbsup2
2. I haven't updated my sig pic on purpose. That pic is from 2006! (and 100 pounds ago.)

Actually, my problem is that I have a very thick hair with lots of body. The perm gives it control, otherwise it is just huge and frizzy. I so wish I could wear the cute hairstyles for short hair... but they are all for people with fine, straight hair. NOT attractive!

I dug out a pic of my hair from Sea World this past Oct. Just ignore my fat!

Look at all that hair!!! What a cute picture. My step daughters have extemely thick and coarse hair. (thanks to their daddy) I call it horse tail hair. LOL For you to go shorter you'd definitely need to get it thinned out. That costs $$$$ here. I am very grey at the temples. I can't wear my hair back when the roots are showing. :(

I have a "gut" as my son likes to tell me (although he should talk--he has a "college gut" as I like to call it). I've been gray for awhile--I blame it on the kids. However, mine does not show, because I color my hair every six weeks (I'm naturally a brunette...but I add blonde highlights to cover the gray). Poor DH has been gray since he was about 35 (he's 56 now) and he said to he** with it...I look distinguished. :rotfl2:

:rotfl:Oh, well, guess it happens to the best of us..grey hair early. I'm sorry! You're hair looks so pretty, I couldn't imagine it had much grey!

WOW, that is a lot of hair!!! I had an incredible hairdresser in Boston (the $300 one). One day I was saying how I wished I had thick hair as it would be easier and cuter cuts - mine has to be cut very carefully and only with scissors, no layers.
She said that thick hair was just as difficult as thin, fine hair b/c it doesn't lay easily...she said it took her longer to cut thick hair properly.

I still wish I had thicker hair...at least a little. My friend has thick curly hair...wow!!! She loses soo much hair constantly.

Your munchkins are so cute!

When they thin it, all these little flyaways start popping out, and it turns into a frizzy mess. I think I will probably do it a little past my shoulders with a few long layers, then a loose perm to keep the frizz in check. After the perm, it will be just above my shoulders. I am trying to get my nurses aide license... once I do I will either have to cut it or wear it pinned up all the time. But my hair is too heavy to pin up, and causes migraines... so the haircut wins!

My hubby will be 51 in August. I *think* he has three grey hairs. Grrrr. Actually, mine aren't grey. They're silver. Hate!

Lordy, can't believe I am doing this..but it's only fair, since 'youse' posted pics.

Sophia and I the end of February.
