A great big pickle...sigh.

Well, in case you haven't noticed, I've been sitting on my fat a** all day! :lmao: My hubby's name is Mark too...well technically Joseph if you look at his birth cert. :rotfl2:

I've got four skids - Russell 23, Justine 21, Kathleen 16 and Nadine 14. Don't ask me about all the "eens" ... I wasn't part of that conversation! :rotfl: Then there is our darling kiddo, Cassidie 8 3/4, doggie named Simon and kitty named Holly. I had a kitty named Samantha but had to put her down two years ago. :sad1: She was 16 and sick. I miss her so much!

Justine's boyfriend is a wrestler! He was ranked number 1 in Canada and 18 in the world two years ago. He was actually supposed to represent Canada in the olympics last year but he blew his elbow out. :( He was crushed.

Oh... and I have a case of verbal diarrhea!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I LOVE wrestling. It is, without a doubt, the toughest sport there is. The conditioning that those wrestlers go through and the dedication is unsurpassed in my mind. I love to watch my son wrestle and will miss it greatly when he is done--he only has one year left of eligibility. He has been on National teams for Illinois, wrestled in the State Championship series as an individual and the team championships. Unfortunately, he has had a lot of injuries since his junior year of high school which have caught up with him in college--including a bulging disc in his lower back, a messed up knee, etc. He was going to quit wrestling and just coach next year. However, he defeated the #3 ranked kid in the country this past season; he then lost to him in the qualifier for nationals because he had a concussion. That kid ended up winning Nationals and it just about destroyed Mark. He is going back out there to give it one last shot. It was really hard on him last year because he dedicated the season to his grandpa who died last August.

WOW! That's amazing about your hubby! See, they always tell us we are Catholic from birth...always a Catholic etc... LOL

DD wanted an outdoor wedding, which is only for the rich in the Catholic church or those who have a relative who is a priest sort of thing - rich..not a chance and never even a knew a priest outside of Mass. So, we went looking for a way to have the wedding outdoors.

I found a website with former priests who left the church b/c they felt it was too rigid and not welcoming enough and/or felt called to marriage (right up my alley ;) ). Mia had the most wonderful "priest" (and a beautiful ceremony of the deck of a gorgeous converted barn - casual elegance ...in October with all the color! And cows in the distance!! It really was pretty).

Anyway, the priest was so good people were asking for a copy of his homily about marriage!! Guess where we found him?? www.rentapriest.com!!! :goodvibes

Now *that* is the funniest thing I've read all day. Rent a priest. OMG. :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

We're off to do some errands (another way to say getting me out of the house, thankd goodness!!!).. Catch ya later, my friends.

OHHH!! My puppies - Jackie is the larger one, 14 yrs young and Gracie is the 5 lb-er, 16 yrs young (she has quite story as a puppy mill rescue -she came to us at 13 yrs young, pregnant with 2 babies ...she was a breeder for 13 yrs in conditions to horrible to describe). Anyhoo, both Maltese.

Bye for now...have fun... and don't say anything I wouldn't say!!:rolleyes1

Have fun, Chrstine.

So, Tracy, how are those ADR spreadsheets coming (trying to stay on topic once in awhile. :rotfl2:).

I know another post...sorry...

I don't like having to use a real name on FB either...I did not know you could make one up - have a DIS friend who uses an obviously made up name.

The only "friends" I have on FB are DISers and 2 of my DD friends.

I went to so many schools growing up, that I don't remember anyone's name, so would not find anyone from the past..and the nuns who left the monastery - well it would be neat to reconnect with them, but I only knew them by their religious name.

See why I need a Girls WDW trip - I need real life friends!!!! Or would that be RLF?? :rolleyes1

I don't have any friends either. And I'm not kidding. I have a BFF and she lives in New Yawk. I actually met her on the internet 8 years ago. We've visited several times and I love her to death. We chat practically every day in email or on facebook and phone once in a while. I miss her so much and wished we lived closer. *sniff*

Meh, I'm not worried about using my real name. No one can see my info unless I friend them, and even then I can control what they see. You'd be surprised what info is all over the internet about you, if you dig deeply enough. I figure if they haven't found me now... I'm safe! ;)

Yeah...I have everything set as private, but still am very careful what I post...ex...some people post every time their DH is out of town, etc...I usually try and post that kind of thing after the fact, just in case the girl I sat beside in Jr. high happens to now be married to an axe murderer or something:scared1::lmao:

Oh. Heh. Yeah, that makes sense. Good call! :thumbsup2

Er, dining spreadsheets? Um... ya. I've NO clue where I want to eat. None. We are not getting the dining plan either.

Ooh, that make me angry. Shame on those puppy mills. Thirteen and preggers? Poor baby. She is lucky to have you for a mommy. :) My baby boy is lhasa apso and cocker spaniel mix. He's beautiful.

Have a great outing! Will catch up with you later. :goodvibes

Good grief this thread moves fast-PHEW! I have been busy with work stuff and missed so much. It's amazing when I read about everyone how much we all have in common....I am 40 yrs old and my hubby and I just had our 16th anniversary on Thursday. My dad was from Philly so I spent many vacations up there with youse guys. Love Hershey Park by the way. I lost my dad last year too to a massive heartattack. I am originally from South Carolina but now live in southeast Wisconsin...which sweet rolls are you talking about? Have I had them?...My daughters are Grace and Caroline...DUH, my username HA! Didn't need to write that one I guess. I haven't been to any of my high school reunions. I am too chubby and my exclassmates are too lame. The only friends from high school that I care about I keep in touch with every few years or so. I grew up Methodist but now am Catholic. I don't know any nuns but my hubby knows many....I got married in a really ugly Catholic church that resembles a gym. I swear they just need a hoop and to move the pews out of the way.

Now back to a topic to keep our thread open....When you go to the Poly you MUST eat at CCs. Love the Tonga Toast with a side of bacon or sausage for breakfast. It reminds me of a breakfast bananas foster minus the ice cream :lovestruc Also love the stir fry noodle thingy with chicken and the shredded pork sandwich. The flatbread pizzas are good too. The pina colavas at the pool are heavenly--especially if you drink them while hanging out in one of the hammocks or just chillin on the beach.

Why do I ALWAYS digress into a post containing food? I-yi-yi, always hungry and obsessed with food I guess.....

ETA: I don't do Facebook. Too much time and too invasive. Not my cup-of-tea.

WHEW!! Took me awhile to catch up today... yuns are very chatty! (That's NC talk for youse!)

my FIL was just diagnosed with bladder cancer:sad1:

I'm sorry.

My DD is Mia Dorothy..nothing pretty about the middle name, but her paternal grandmother was very ill the day I went into labor and I got sentimental..she hung on for another 21 years.

I spit my coke out on my keyboard... thanks for that! :rotfl:

There's quite a few crazies on the DIS too! :rotfl2:

A FEW?!? Some of the people here are certifiable!

WOW! That's amazing about your hubby! See, they always tell us we are Catholic from birth...always a Catholic etc... LOL

We are "those upstart Lutherans." ;)

My name is Kari Britt. I was feeling very creative when I picked my DIS name! My kids are Tucker Lewis (11) and Avery Elaine (6). The middle names are family names, and I wanted something uncommon for their first names. I do facebook pretty often. Most of my friends are cousins from all around the country, and my nieces and nephews. Its nice to be able to connect with them, especially since I hardly ever see most of my cousins. (Some of them have never met Avery even.)

Well hello there, Grace and Caroline's mom! Haven't a clue what your name is. But, if you want to be super duper secretive about it, that's a-ok with me. :thumbsup2 Happy belated anniversary to you. Ours was b-o-r-i-n-g. Oh what a boring and lazy day, I've had. My butt is actually NUMB!

I've had pina colavas at CBR and they are nummies. I really want to get my hands on the macadamian butter pancakes. Droool. My BFF says I must eat at 'Ohanas. I don't think we'll do Boma's as we don't care for spicy food. I want to eat somewhere at DTD, but no clue where. I need to get my rear in gear and get these ressies made!

Although, my FIL was just diagnosed with bladder cancer:sad1:, so I'm not sure if that will happen now anyway.

I'm so sorry...I missed this earlier.

It is so difficult when a loved one gets ill. I went through seven months with my dad in a hospital/nursing home last year before he passed in August. I am now helping my best friend whose mom was diagnosed with lung cancer (both lungs) and colon cancer. He moved her back here from TN and she is living with him in his very small apartment. He is divorced and his daughter doesn't speak to him so he is handling most of it by himself. I help him when I can, and when he'll let me...he is a very stubborn Irishman who thinks he can do it all on his own.

Hey Kari! Was wonderin where you were today! Guess you have a life, huh? :worship:

I love your children's names! :)

First, we missed you! Happy Belated Anniversary!

I am so sorry you lost your dad last year. I hope tomorrow will hold treasured memories.

I LOVE your daughters names! I have a Grace too...see the little Maltese in my avatar? That's my Gracie.

DD Mia considered Caroline for baby Sophia, but they have a very Italian last name that begins with C, so it just did not flow nicely.

See, ugly catholic churches everywhere!! Guess what? I know nuns in Pewaukee!! http://www.geocities.com/pewaukeecarmel/

I have FB closed except for friends and few things for friends of friends. I have one friend who lives here, but do not know her very well. A dear friend 2 hours from here and my BFF in Boston. That's about it..oh, and all of you!!

Sooo, I wrote all of this then went to look for a pic of our birthday dessert at the Poly, but lost this post .....so, anyway..

Kona ~ is very popular at Poly, but I like it for breakfast, nothing else (most of the food I don't eat). We went for a good breakfast ,wearing our birthday buttons (which I dreaded doing, but tried to get in the spirit and fun of it all). Our CM waitress noticed our buttons, but didn't say anything (to my great relief), but she surprised with a decorated dessert on a huge place with two cream puffs with candles and the plated decorated! It was a nice surprise. :goodvibes

Sci Fi ~ we enjoy the old time drive-in, in the Hollywood Hills theme. It's fun eating in the old cars too.

The Plaza ~ absolutely fave in the MK. We do it every trip unless it;s a short trip and then we might skip it to fit in CS in the MK.

Hoop-Dee-Doo ~ just a lot of silly fun with dinner show and all you can eat boneless ribs, fried chicken, corn on the cob, strawberry shortcake...I forget what else... sitting upstairs in the 3rd tier can be fine. :)

Oh, what will you request for a longhouse at the Poly???
http://www.tikimanpages.com/tiki/ Best Poly info on the web!!

Oh wow, Kathy. That is rough. Please don't run yourself ragged. Look after you too.

Here's a pic of the family. Mark, the youngest son is on the left (he's not smiling...he caught a 6:00 a.m. flight out of Colorado on Christmas morning--where he had been wrestling at the Olympic Training Center and was VERY tired); then my GOOFY DH, me and Cookie and then oldest DS, Andy.

Christine,

Oh, I will definitely be eating at Kona. Yum! Not sure about doing the Hoop de Doo da thingy. Cha ching! It also depends on the weather. I have looked at Tikiman's web page. Many times. :) I requested Tahiti longhouse. That doesn't mean anything though. All I really really want is to have a balcony. I will live on the balcony when I'm not in a hammock. I'm so excited!

I LOVE Tahiti. That is where we stayed for Andy's high school graduation. It was perfect!
