A Grand Dream of a Honeymoon - June 2011

Oh Mary Poppins! She is so speedy and efficient in her morning greetings!

That massive waterjet at splash is always so welcome in summer...however last trip in December ...not so much haha

I can believe how much stuff you got done at MK! Where was everybody?

Ughghhhh I hate packing to go home. So much so that I can never commit any real time to doing it properly and end up just shoving it all in at the last minute.

Spaceship Earth is always a must do :thumbsup2 So relaxing!

Yay for surprise moose...s!

So sad its almost over :sad2:

The Mooses make me a little sad, I'm not going to lie.
My DH's nickname is Moose and we try to get everything to do with Moose(s) that we can.
One year instead of going as the Mickey Mouse Club, we went as members of the Mikey Moose Club (because DH's name is Mike and his niece and nephew call him Mikey).... so sorry I don't have pictures of that... oh wait, no I'm not. :lmao:

Sad your trip is coming to an end... happy you get to go home as newlyweds!:)

:sad2:Oh no! Not the last night already.... it's been such a great TR that I don't want it to end!

What a wonderful gesture handing out those FPs.... we had a bit of pixie dust bestowed on us this past trip just like that, and I can tell you it made our night!:thumbsup2

I cannot get enough of the soup and pretzel bread at Le Cellier! Ever since we've gotten home, I have been searching for just the right pretzel roll recipe... no luck so far, guess we'll have to go back!:rotfl2:

How romantic to watch Wishes from the balcony.... I think that's a fit ending to your night!:lovestruc

Love the MK opening ceremony pics Emma! We enjoyed this as well.

Don't you just love walking onto attractions? It sure is great!

Aaw that is sweet of the CM to give you FPs and then of you to give them to other people - am sure you made their day :goodvibes I can't believe that some people thought you were trying to sell them something!

Oh no on it being your last night at Disney World. I'm glad you both enjoyed your meal at Le Cellier.

Hi Tanz! Yes it was funny how tricky it was to give away the FPs :cutie: - although one couple I asked were French and I think they struggled to understand what I was saying to them hehe.
We were really lucky that day getting onto so many attractions with no wait, we've sort of developed our own touring plans and almost never ride something if the line is over 30 minutes now (knowing we'll be back again some day I guess :cloud9:)

It's you last full day already! But I don't want your TR to end! :cutie: At least you really seem to have accomplished a lot in MK that morning!

I really love those pictures of Spaceship Earth. The nighttime lighting is already on, but the sky is completely blue in the background. Lovely! :wizard:

Thanks Mel, I was really pleased with those photos of SSE in the evening lights!

I can't believe I'm almost on the last day too.. I'm enjoying writing this TR so much :cloud9:

Emma, I'm so sorry that I had gotten so behind on your updates! I've been such a bad DISer lately.

I'm so glad your Wishes cruise was great! Your pictures turned out so much better than mine did from that night. Our captain showed us the island covered in the birds, too! I thought that was really neat.

What a great way to spend your last full day at Disney - the Magic Kingdom and Epcot! I can't believe how empty the MK looked! Especially right before the 4th of July. You got to do so many things!

I am so sad that your trip is coming to a close!

Hi Courtney! Thank you for the comments - I was quite pleased with the Wishes cruise photos, although I did find it easier just to turn it to video for the finale, capture every firework & the music too! :wizard:

I was really imagining the parks to be heaving over our last few days, we could definitely tell the Grand Floridian was getting busier, but we seemed to navigate around the parks ok :thumbsup2 .. and we weren't there for July 4th - although sort of wished we had been to see those spectacular fireworks!

Hope you & Miguel are well :goodvibes xx

No! Don't go home already.:rotfl: I do not want the story to end.:snooty:

 .. I know, I don't want to have to stop writing this, can't believe I'm almost done! I will have to make a scrapbook next so I can keep looking through the photos & remembering everything :rolleyes1 hehe

Hi! I hate packing to go home too - I had been so organised packing to go away, everything neatly packed.. but on the way home, I was just stuffing things into the suitcases, knowing it would all need to be washed & ironed when we got home :sad1: hehe

The chocolate mousses were a lovely surprise, I love that Disney did all those little extra things for us as it was our honeymoon.. no where in the world like it! :cloud9:

 .. you will have to get the chocolate mousse if you go to Le Cellier next trip then ;)

Yes it was lovely to get home and not have the 'PDB' (Post Disney Blues) set in too soon, we had lots of post-wedding things to do and were still so excited to be married! :bride:

Thank you :goodvibes - someone gave us FPs at Space Mountain one time & it was such a lovely gesture, we've done it a few times ourselves if we have left over passes :goodvibes

Yes you'll definitely have to go back to Le Cellier to perfect the pretzel bread recipe ;) .. I love cooking things from WDW, the Mickey & Chefs cookbook is really good; recently I've made the chocolate souffle from Palo and a chicken dish from San Angel Inn... mmmm!

Looks like you had a wonderful last full day. You achieved quite alot at MK :thumbsup2

So cool that the CM handed you 6 FP's and even cooler that you shared them out. Although it is hard trying to give/be nice as people tend to think you are crazy or act really suspicious, which is a shame.

I just happened upon your TR a few days ago, and now I've read every single update. Your honeymoon sounds amazing! You are beautiful, by the way!

Can't wait to read another update..although I am sad that your TR must be coming to an end pretty soon.

Congratulations on your marriage! :cloud9:

NOOO! I don't want your TR to be over! You're such a great, fun writer! Maybe some of us DISers should pull together a fund to send you back so you can write another TR! :cool1: :rotfl2:

And oh my goodness, you're so RIGHT ON with the scene from Ratatouille and the bridge! You got such a perfect shot. It's spot on!

Hi Stefy - it was a lovely MK day, nice to make sure we got all our favourites done! :cutie:
It is funny with the FPs.. the same way some people in the stand-by line seem to glare at us when we walk through the FP line? :confused3 hehe - maybe they think you have to pay for them, like at other parks?! We loved handing the passes out at Space Mountain though, spread a little magic :wizard:

Hi! Thank you so much for reading along and the very kind comments! :cutie:

Yes I only have a couple of updates to go, sorry to see it come to an end too  hehe

Aww thanks Lesha! Couple more updates to go still :goodvibes

I think it was my sister who first told me that bridge near the Boardwalk is like the one in Ratatouille... so true!

And... hmmm - no ticker just yet.. but watch this space ;)

I've really loved reading your TR, you did so many amazing things it must've of been a dream! When I get married (probably not for looong time) I'd love to do a Disney cruise and a stay at one of the deluxe resorts for my honeymoon.

A perfect way to celebrate spending the rest of your life with someone.

Congrats on your marriage and your Birthday!

Hi! Thank you so much for reading along :goodvibes .. I hope one day you get to go on a Disney Cruise & WDW honeymoon too :lovestruc hehe

Hi everyone,

Going a little off topic again.. but had to share this!!

Last weekend (Sunday 2nd October), Disney held an event at Kensington Palace in London to make Rapunzel officially a Disney Princess princess: ... I had thought about going along, but tickets were only available via contests.. and most of those were for 'one adult with one child'.. so I didn't really feel I could enter! :cutie:

It looked like a lovely event though..

While this was going on, "Disney Living" and "Disney Mums UK" were running several competitions to celebrate Rapunzel's big day on Twitter :wizard:

They'd ask a trivia question, and then the first one/two people to tweet back the right answer would win a prize...

and ... I won one!! :yay:

The question was "what is the name of Belle's horse?"

And today, I received a parcel from Disney HQ in London..

A Belle Barbie doll!

I think we'll give this to our flower girl (she is nearly 7 and Belle is her favourite!) princess:

Aw I love how all the Princesses have a mini version of them :goodvibes

Good job on the win! I think she'll love it! ....heck, I would! :lmao:

What a lovely event! And I agree with Leshaface, it's nice to see a mini princess with each of them. :goodvibes

Congrats on your win. :thumbsup2

The Disney event sure looks great! :thumbsup2

Yay on winning the Belle barbie doll and I agree that I would love receiving that as a gift hehe :rotfl:

That is awesome you won the Belle doll. Your flower girl is going to love it.

Congrats on winning the Belle Doll, is really cute and your flower girl will love her :)

Hi!

The weather was very hot (at least 90 oF every day) and humid, but yes it rained/thunderstorms at least every other day - about 3/4pm. This is usually the time we head back to our resort for a break, so it didn't really worry us - the only times we got stuck in it really were at the Fantasia Gardens golf course and then at Downtown Disney for about 20 minutes!

The Florida weather is very different to what we're used to in the UK, but I love being in warm humid climates so don't mind the heat at all! Just drink lots and lots of water.. so you don't end up nearly fainting like I did at the Dessert Party :rolleyes1 hehe

Emma princess: x

Oh my, we do not want any fainting spells! That must have been very frightening. We will make sure to stay well hydrated.:thumbsup2

We will be there from June 24th through July 3rd, 2012...so I believe our best plan is to be at park opening each day, ride our favorites until our lunch reservations and then go back to the resort. Then we can hopefully dodge the showers and return to the parks in the evening. We are quite alright with humid, hot temps...but it would be nice to swim at the peak of the day. :goodvibes
