Well our flight out of Newark was fine. We arrived early and flight was great. Unfortunately we went with Hertz and had to wait 2 hours to get our car. Wow.... it was bad! After waiting on line for well over an hour when we finally got our car we were to go to E18... lol... it was not in the space. Does this sound like a movie. All I was waiting for was Steve Martin ready to show up. Anyway our DS had an upgrade for us and said "hey let's rent a Mustang". With all the luggage we had I was in the back with all the luggage that could NOT fit in the trunk... well you see the picture in your mind don't you? When we arrived at CSR we had requested Casitas with a corner room but this did not happen... this was a first for us. We have always had our requests met but I guess at 1:30 in the morning it was impossible. To those of you who said stay at the airport I guess maybe my chances would have been better in the AM but they are full capacity this week so maybe not. Anyway staying onsite is the only way for us so we did not mind. They placed us in Ranchos and it was a corner room. We are casitas/cabana people (at least that is what we think we are LOL) so in the morning we kindly asked if we could be moved and our request was met.
CSR ... Oh how I love this place. We were given a voucher for a free champagne toast on them for our anniversary.
We began our first day having breakfast in the Pepper Market and off we were to the MK. We fastpassed Mickey's Philharmagic and this is something we love and would recommend NEVER to miss. While waiting we went to Haunted Mansion and after seeing the movie it was seen in a different light...
We had our lunch at the Plaza Restaurant. We really like this one and I had the Rueben and the boys had Chicken Sand and Steak Sandwich. I also had the tomato bisque which is real good. Weather is not hot but very....very... hot. We are not use to this time of year. We have done it many times. BUT winter/fall even spring is our preference. We headed back to CSR to changerooms in the afternoon and were placedin Casitas 2 right by the pool in a corner room. GREAT! Our dinner PS was at Cape May Cafe and we again agreed this is one of our favorite places. The buffet is great. If you do not like seafood there is plenty of other foods to meet your needs. Our waiter asked where we were from and we told him the Jersey Shore. He kidded us about the salt water taffy they gave us when we were leaving and said people from NJ said this is NOT salt water taffy. We laughed when he handed them to us because it was soooo hard. Our taffy if the best in the real Cape May!!!!
We closed our evening by going to see Harry Potter at AMC and then went back to CSR.
We are up this morning and have a beautiful sunny beginning and hope that it will last. Our plans are to leave for MGM so... for all of your reading this... picture in your mind getting on the bus and come along....
Later...
