You did nothing wrong, sometimes when things as serious and sad as this are brought up a little humor can make it more easy to get a handle on. I apreciate your attempt to inject a little humor around a sad subject.

This sadly is nothing new. My first year teaching in the school where I teach now, an 8th grade boy died doing this exact thing. He was found hanging in a closet at home from the choking game gone wrong. This was over 20 years ago.

Every 2-3 years, this thing rears it's ugly head in the news - not that it shouldn't - along with the stories of the tattoes laced with LSD.

I was talking to me little brother about this a couple of years ago, how stupid these kids are, and he goes what??? We used to do this up at the campground with all the kids we hung out with!

So I was one of those stupid kids,
I really don't remember choking though, I remember bending over and someone pressing your head(not your neck? temples maybe? I forget) and then standing up really fast and getting a head rush? There was never any rope or nooses or anything like that involved!!

Anyway, I agree nothing new. This was when I was 14 or so and I am 36 now.
