Your CRT ADRs are making me dizzy  Wooohooo for being sooooo close now! No lecturing from me on the fake-and-baking :rolleyes1 LOL I know what you mean about some stuff being hard to find - I can't find misting fans to save my life! :headache: I wish I could start packing for me and the boys (dh packs himself LOL), but I can't do that until we tell them :rotfl: Wooohoooo for getting Mickey mail!!! We got ours last week - makes it all seem so real! :woohoo::dance3::yay:

Do you have a CVS? Misting fans are $6 there, and they are the nice ones!

Thanks, jmkford4, but we don't have CVS here - we're deprived in Canada  I did check online, but there doesn't seem to a CVS in Blaine or Bellingham, WA (very close to us). Thanks anyway, I appreciate the info! :flower3:

ok i'm jealous you got you and oregonmommy got your documents already! I'm 34 days out...WHERE ARE MINE!?!?!?!?!

do keep us posted for when you do get them... idk why you haven't yet :confused3

Misting fans huh? I haven't seen any around either.

Everything is making me dizzy now. I have such a busy week too so I am feeling really overwhelmed with eveything right now. Sigh...

Congrats on your Mickey mail Lisa!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

It seems VERY real now, and it's panic time :scared1:

For real... it sucks. Even in Oregon, we lack on a lot of good stores and restaurants people seem to EVERYWHERE else but the Pacific Northwest. No CVS here that I know of... maybe there somewhere that I don't know but I commute Portland and the west side often and I don't see a CVS.

If you still can't find anything, I get a Coleman non-misting fan from Target for like $2-3 that works wonderfully. It's very strong for being so little.

I'm kind of getting that trip-is-getting-close freak out earlier than usual...

Normally this is something I tend to get around 7-10 days before the trip but at 24 days???

It seems to be getting more and more close and I am having a hard time getting organized with EVERYTHING! :scared1:

Plus, it really doesn't help that I am going to have a very busy week or so coming up and I am getting a headache thinking about it.

Soooo... why so stressed?

1. The boyfriend is out of town. His parents live in southern Germany so he's visiting them for the next 2 weeks before grad school starts up. I was invited to go with him (I've met them before) but it was so close to Disney I had to decline :( So being without one of my closest friends is going to be hard.

2. My boss and her family are out of town which means a lot of extra hours for everyone... good? Maybe. Sure, it's good in the monetary sense but it's already taking a toll on me when I had 3 14 hour days last week and a lot of busy-ness going on this week.

3. I was supposed to run in the Hood to Coast 197-mile Relay this weekend (August 28-29) but during a softball game I sprained my ankle BAD! I am OK now but I'm being lazy and having a hard time getting up and running. I knew I wasn't going to be ready to run in the HTC so I told my team ahead of time about the drop but I offered to volunteer as an Exchange Captain to fill the local team volunteer requirements which is a TOUGH job. This will be Friday night (8/28) from 8:30PM-4:30AM... in the middle of NOWHERE! The exchange doesn't even have an address or cell phone reception. :scared1:

BUT I lucked out in getting Saturday off (which I normally work 9AM-11PM) SOOOO... since we'll sort of be close to the HS that was the HS in Twilight I hope I can get there and snap some photos.

Along with running, I am still planning on doing the SF Nike Women's Half which is on October 18 but I know I am not in running shape to run a lot of it. I think I'll be OK to keep up with 16-minute miles but you know... SF is one hilly MFer and the course is ridiculous!

4. I've been cleaning and remodeling so my place is a MESS!!! Enough said on that.

5. I've been spending A LOT of money lately and I feel like I am not going to have a lot of money for WDW. Luckily, that's what credit cards are for but I really don't want to come home to bills.

6. I am starting a Latin class RIGHT when I get back from WDW. I have been working on being a translator as a career and I am taking Latin to grab a good grasp on the roots to a lot of languages. I just feel like that may essentially be 24 days away as well.

FYI....my wife and her sister went to Forks this April. They got some pictures of the High School and other cool locales from the stories.

You sound as stressed as I feel. It seems like we should be winding down into vaca mode and we have so much going on that it is impossible to do. I am not excited now; I am nervous. I am wondering what will happen next that I will have to deal with!

Oh girl try not to stress out so much. Just try really hard to get through the next couple of weeks. You are almost there!!!!!

I found your pre-trip report and will be reading it first thing in the morning. :thumbsup2 I'm off to bed now...at the age of 51...just short of your mother...I need my sleep :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Try to relax a bit.. stress is def. not good for anyone or the body. I COMPLETELY hear where your coming from with Number 4 and 5!!!

OMG me too!!!! :scared1: Except I dont have credit cards but I should be okay I usually take as much as I'm planning on bringing when I go to DL and I'm ok and we usually pay outta pocket for ALL our meals.

I just need a new camera soooo badly esp for this trip. Trying to figure out how to work that into my budget.

Try not to stress out to much but I know what you mean. I do payroll and I'm so stressed over everything I need to have done B4 I go on vacation & then I come back n have to do Payroll that Monday. Ughhhhh. My co worker just went to DL for 3 days so I had to cover all her work and that was crazy, I feel bad for her to cover my stuff for 1 week! But I'm gonna try to forget all about work while i'm :cloud9: in WDW.

Hang in there! pixiedust:

Oh way cool! I've heard a lot of stories too but a lot of it was filmed in the Portland area so I didn't have to travel as far as your wife :)

There were a lot different high schools that were used for the filming... the HS I'm going to is in Kalama, WA which is sort of on the way home from the Hood to Coast thing... it was used for the exterior front of the HS and those HS parking lot scenes. OK, now I sound like some kind of Twilight stalker lol, I'm not it's just sort of common knowlegde around here.

For real.... but that's what other vacations are for, not WDW vacations  Secretly though, I love it- it's totally my kind of vacation a relaxing one is boring to me.

We're almost there!!! It won't be as stressful once we arrive at the house of mouse.

Thanks Lynn :flower3:

Welcome Kathy!!! Haha... my mom gets all grumpy if she's tired. Glad to see you over here!

Thanks Raecheal! 4 & 5 are a cause and effect thing, I've been spending money on house stuff.

Thanks! Credit cards are evil... I don't have my own, only a debit card because I have some serious control issues when it comes to shopping :rotfl: so I use my mom's and pay her back.

I just keep thinking... stop spending you idiot, you only have one more paycheck (we're on pay periods :headache:) before you go to WDW.

Oh man.... that sounds stressful  but hey while in WDW, don't even think about it!

Oh yeah, I'm right with you on "the trip is close and I'm freaking out" :scared1: I know exactly how you're feeling - does it help to know you're not alone? I'm glad your ankle is feeling better and I think we all know how hard it is to get started again when we haven't done something for a while

Latin is COOL! We'll be doing Latin this year (my 10yo ds has an avid interest in Latin, thanks to Harry Potter and his spells!), along with learning French with a great computer program (everyone in the family will be doing that).

Wishes Dessert Party?

So with the annoucement that they are extending the Wishes Dessert Party to October 31 and now I have to decide on when to go? No, not really... the only day I can really squeeze it in is on Sept 30.

Well actually... I want to go on Sept 27 but there is a buffet or something in the Tomorrowland Noodle Station on Sundays so it's not available on Sundays. My second choice would be for Sept 20 but again, that's a Sunday.

Hm.... idk if I want to book it on Sept 30.

:grouphug: It's like we're all a support group for each other.

Did you know they're extending the Wishes Dessert Party to October 31? I was semi-interested in it but now that it's being offered, I'm thinking about it... another thing to add to the pile :rotfl:

I'm really excited to start Latin classes! That's so cool your DS is going to start taking Latin also!!! I bet he'll have so much fun with that...

Haha we're all in this freaking out mode together, I promise! :)

The dessert party is soooo tempting....hmmmmmm!

Yep, we are! :goodvibes

Nope, didn't know that, but I haven't looked into the Wishes Dessert Party at all. Just not our thing :confused3

Well, to be clearer, the fact that he wants to learn Latin means that (a) I will have to learn it because I'll be teaching it LOL; and (b) my youngest son will probably learn it too, due purely to proximity and/or osmosis . I found some a great workbook/text for Latin from Cambridge University. Looks great!

It is... it's been decided that my mom doesn't want to go so we're not going, oh well. I'm not a huge dessert person I just thought it would be fun and it's not too expensive with just 2 people.

Oh wow... way cool! That's so fun Lisa- ok, maybe I think it's fun from the outside but I also don't have to learn it then teach it :) :goodvibes

Okay...I'm all caught up. I've been basically missing in action the last couple of days due to a personal issue (but got good news form the doctor today) so I've been able to catch up on everyone's pretrip reports.

DH wants to go to the wishes party. I missed the announcement- I have been sick today! Off to catch up!
