No, I didn't die... BIG MILESTONE AND BIG UPDATE!

Sorry everyone, I promise I didn't die nor did I abandon you I was SOOOO sick

But I'm better now and boy do I have quite a bit of update

THURSDAY:

Knowing that the Toy Story Mania video game for the Wii comes out on September 15, in order to save ourselves some time we just pre-ordered it from Amazon so it hopefully arrives on the 15th. I've pre-ordered from them many times and they're always on time So YAY... I know what I am going to be doing on September 15!

You know, the mail at my mom's house comes at 4PM... it's so dang annoying and so late in the day!!!

When I got home my mom told me there's some stuff waiting for me... hm... what can it be? It turns out it's my $67 one-day park ticket with 2 water park entries!!! I only ordered it on August 12, what amazing turn around imo.

My favorite color is purple so I was super excited to get the purple Pluto one!


FRIDAY:

First of all, YAYYYYYY!!!

I got the Disney paperwork aka Mickey Mail on Friday... you know, the stuff you're supposed to get AFTER the ME stuff comes I was so excited but so sick I could even be elated to my DIS friends... my mom had to take the full force of it, lol.

I miss the pretty plastic clear envelope you used to get with it But it's all good, IT'S HERE!!!


SATURDAY:

When did I call to add DME? 8/11? I GOT THE PAPERWORK!!!!! On 8/15! YAY! I can't believe how fast the Mickey Mail has been and I am super happy about it! It's always a good feeling to have that stuff in your hands you know?

Also, I decided I was going to lime-green up a storm for WDW this time and try to see as many DISers as I can while there... most probably won't be planned so even a quick little acknowledgement would do. So I decided I needed a way for people to recognize me. I ended up printing out some LGMH sized things that I am going to laminate and attach to various parts of my person:

SUNDAY:

I was feeling MUCH better. So, what else is there to do when you pass a good Disney milestone in getting Mickey Mail then go to IKEA? I love that store. I didn't bring my camera but then I realized when we were done that I had a camera on my phone... a pretty good one too... DUH! I snapped some photos:

Also, the Portland IKEA is over by the Portland airport so I managed to snap a photo of a plane about to land.

Next, I went over to Walmart since I keep hearing of the wonderful travel-sized item aisle they have at Walmarts... I must have gone to the WRONG Walmart because this one was AWFUL. The one at Safeway is better I did manage to get some cute $6 Mickey & Tinkerbelle sleep boxers... I'm wearing the Tink ones but here's a picture of the Mickey ones:

As I said before, I am planning on lime-greening myself out a little bit which will include some lime green nail polish, which I currently don't have. And let me tell you, not easy to find either. But, it's so like me to find other stuff I didn't need but get anyway so I got a magenta and construction orange! I love those colors

This is what I DID find while at Claire's. It's much more lime green-y than in the picture, I plan on wearing it at the MNSSHP, EEC after party and any DIS meets I end up going to.

Still no nail polish yet, but I need to go with my hair lady to a one of those beautician-only stores to pick out my hair colors so I'm hoping they have a quality lime green nail polish.

I really hope your feeling better.. i've been sick for the past 3 weeks... it's such a horrible feeling.

Purple is my favorite color as well...Mickey Mai always put a huge smile on my face..

We have an ikea around the corner from our house... Dbf hates it.. but i've still purchased our sparebedroom linens and curtains there!!! Did you purchase anything?

Thanks! You should check the TSM game out. When I ordered it, it was on sale too! It's a good warm up to a Disney trip I think... you'll get more time to master it! I think they said it's also in 3D... I wonder how that's going to happen with a video game but it sounds fun.

I can't believe you were sick for so long... what a terrible past few weeks huh? Well, minus Brit- I wish she would come to Portland... or even Seattle... or even San Francisco!!! I would definitely go, she is coming to Vegas but it's when I'm going to WDW. OMG, I just realized I'm listening to "Ooh Ooh Baby" my itunes are on shuffle right now... what a dirty song but I love it.

Yes, I just purchased some shelves there. I didn't want to spend too much with a Disney trip looming but 3 big shelves, brackets and some new throw pillow covers... I still somehow managed to spend $100. I don't think I've ever been there and not spent $100 or more

One month away??? AHHH!

Hm... I'm at my one month away mark to when I arrive, one day less than that to when we depart. It's time to get some things taken care of...

1. Get a more finalized packing list going. Include EVERYTHING since I always seem to forget something... last year it was sunglasses I had to pay $20 for some pos sunglasses

2. Set up hair appointment, I'm currently texting my hair lady and I'm hoping for August 31 or Sept 1. She has a 15yo and an 11yo so I don't want to bother her the following week since it's back to school week and I don't want it to be too close to our trip. I'm excited because I'm going to go even MORE blonde and I think I might add more red to it also... especially with autumn coming up. Oh... it's just been set, August 31 it is.

3. Begin tanning for WDW. I'm not a tanner except for WDW trips... I just tan REALLY easily but I really need to even out these tan lines I have. Not that I plan on running around naked at WDW but I will be wearing less than I normally do and I have a slight farmer's tan going on right now Also, the ladies of the Club Tan next door to where I work gave a great deal on a package that I can use for many years. I know, I know, it's bad for me but I'm not looking for a lecture here.

4. Start purchasing things I know I am going to need and aren't so easy to get.

5. Begin throwing things in my suitcase that I'm going to use.

6. Keep on working on Disney notebook which will serve as my source for park hours, reservation numbers and ADRs. I will also keep notes of things I want to remember just to remember or if I decide I want to write a TR.

Maybe I am having a brain fart but I can't think of anything else now...



Oh yes, and I did get some WL ME stuff... idk why since I didn't think I requested ME but I got it anyway. The airline part was just left blank, hm...

I thought it was our package stuff but nope. I had it shipped to my old roommate's house so my mom wouldn't see it at all so I have to wait for her to tell me something has arrived...

Dbf had a farmer's tan going on during our trip.. we took a couple of trips to the tanning salon.. but i didn't get much color..

For split stays, sometimes ME considers each part of your trip a separate reservation and will send the ME stickers...that happened on my last trip. I just dumped them.

You DO have to make sure they have your outbound info in the system though. When I checked in in Orlando, they had my departure date wrong....they linked it to one of my other resort ressies...make sense? Confusing? Just make sure when you check in for your ME that they have the correct outbound info. Same at the last resort you stay at before you head back home.

No, I actually meet her at one of those stores that you have to be a licensed (given beauty profession) to buy anything... mainly because I want to get stuff I want but can't buy myself. But we also pick out my colors which is usually 3 and she usually needs to get more bleach since I have a lot of hair.

Then we go out to her house! We used to do it at mine but she has a salon set up when she got her new house that is perfect for my long hair!

I was just thinking... what if I got a plumish purple instead of a cherry red, hm....

ANOTHER ADR change!

Canceling: 9/22 CRT 8:25AM
Changing to 9/22 CRT 11:45AM

OK, so I'm a dummy. I wanted to check with Disney via phone to make sure I had canceled all the ADRs I didn't want especially the ones like Akershus and CRT that I changed because I'd get charged.



Back story: maaaaaybe some of you remember the trouble some of us DISers were having with CRT breakfast on 9/28 and 9/29. mom2rtk, singnring and myself were all looking for CRT on 9/29 and checked for 9/28 as well... this was on both 90+10 days... NOTHING was available. Impossible, not 100 days out. Maybe the first seatings were gone but not ALL of breakfast.

Eventually, they released the tables later... long after when they SHOULD have been available But I had already moved things around... I was going to have lunch on 9/22 at CRT for the first lunch seating at 11:45AM (which was originally supposed to be Crystal Palace at 11:30AM) THEN Crystal Palace on 9/29 at 8:05AM (which was supposed to be CRT 8:05AM)... no big deal really. But then I had an 8:25AM for CRT on 9/22 available and I snagged that.



Back to the other story: In checking my ADRs, I found out that I DID NOT cancel the 9/22 CRT 11:45AM ADR... I had another CRT I canceled along with an Akershus.

Confusing? Possibly, it's been a long day so I may not make any sense... BUT now I feel like I'd rather have the 11:45AM ADR.

SO, I'm going to cancel the 8:25AM ADR... I posted it on the Sept ADR trade thread so I'm waiting a couple of days to cancel it but I feel really good about that decision. I feel bad for holding on to 2 ADRs for CRT of all places though but oh well... I thought I had canceled it
