Less than 2 wks 'til our DVC trip to VWL --
and as Scooby sez, "Relp!"
WHAT WE HAVE SO FAR: We booked @ 7 mos for a 2 br dedicated. Requests are (in order of preference): NS, pool view. 2 bedrails for toddlers, and NOT HC (with two 2yr olds, we can't afford "easier access" to oven knobs, etc.! Hard enough as it is, and would like to leave resort standing for posterity to enjoy!) We requested pool view mainly b/c we thought it would get us (a) near elevator and (b) away from infamous service view down at other end.
* What's good location for a 2br dedicated, short elevator trip, and prereably away from S rooms (i.e. would prefer not to be directly above / adjacent to above smoking section...) SHould I request a specific room #?
* DO "added on" requests at this point "count" or do you have to do them at the time you make the DVC reservation?
* Does "faxing" requests 3 days prior do anything for DVC folks? MS seemed to indicate it was all a matter of "first reserved, first served". Is this true? And if not, to whom would I fax?
* Does early check-in help? We have always been purists -- never showing up until EXACTLY 4 pm! DOes coming earlier help? Hurt? Huh?
* What are the "cool vaulted ceiling" rooms? Is the only different that the ceilings are higher? SOunds neat... what is view from those rooms? I heard some room (corners?) compromise on living area space -- with 4 adults / 4 kids, not sure we could handle that. Space is at a premium already!
My dh and I are ambivalent, view-wise (we just love WDW -- 'nuff said) but since we are treating DH's brother and his wife / son to a vacation, we would love to really "wow" 'em! They have heard us gush about WDW and DVC, and normally we've stayed in OKW, so VWL is new territory for us!
ALL HELP APPRECIATED!
THANKS!
Cindy
